Arch support about average. Replaced with new insole, as I need more support. Slowly breaking in shoes. Only problem is a very loose, sloppy heal. If there was one more set of lace holes further up, it would maybe help.

I've had these about 8 months. I wear them 3-4 days a week. When I walk my dog in wet grass (cut grass, about 200-300 yards) the area over my toes gets wet through to my socks. The shoes appear to be structurally intact with no tears, holes, or separation. I like the shoes otherwise but I chose them largely for the waterproof feature, so...

Good shoes but was better when they had Gortex in them! Waterproof don't last!

Merrell Moab 2 M width too narrow. Footbed was also lumpy. The comfort level of Merrell shoes has gone down over the past few years.

I've had my Moab 2 Waterproofs for a couple of years. They have held up very well, are very comfortable, and some of my favorite shoes. I specifically bought the waterproof versions because I sometimes walk thru dew covered grass. The other day, while walking a couple of miles in a very light rain, I found my socks and feet wet in the toe area in both shoes. Very disappointed for a shoe that claims to be waterproof. Looking for something different now. I despise wet feet.

I've been wearing the Moab 2 wides for some time. They are very comfortable, have a great outer sole, and are very light. My problem is two fold. The laces are of poor quality and need to be replaced fairly soon. The rubber toe will not hold up. I have had to return every pair (5) so far as the rubber will give out after 6 months of light use. I could return them as the store I managed sold them. Now on pair 6 with the same problem. As I no longer work for the store that sold them, I cannot return them. I will not purchase them again, sadly, as I really enjoy them. Too expensive for such a short lift span.

I have a pair of your shoes for 12 years, excellent. The new pair are ok,but I believe the material used on the new pair are inferior to the older pair for durable and lastability. Thanks

When new shoes were great. I wear them for work as a delivery driver. I’m pretty hard on shoes these didn’t last as long as some other brands and shoes I’ve tried. I’ve worn them daily for about 8 months and they are shot. Heals are slanted and souls are smooth. I didn’t get another pair of these 125 is a lot for only 8 months so I went with a slightly less expensive pair of Merrell this time. Will review soon

Oboz and vasque have also been great

I've had 3 pairs of Moab shoes. All the previous have been Gortex lined and have been awesome shoes. I went for a 35 minute walk in the light rain with a few areas of standing water less than an inch deep and my feet were absolutely soaked when I was done. The shoe is very comfortable. The toe box isn't as generous as my previous pair, but maybe that is due to break in. Mine are charcoal with gum rubber soles and they look awesome. I just can't believe that Merrel would put the term "waterproof" in the model of this shoe.

Loved the color and look of the shoe. Right length and width but the footbed never felt comfortable. Made the bottom of my feet hurt and wearing them inside did not eliminate the problem

I've worn MOABs for years. But the past two pair I've purchased (including this most recent pair) are "squeaky" right out of the box. Not just a cute little mouse variety squeak, but a full on flatulant-mimiking SQUEAK! Not sure if the materials are no longer being fastened properly anymore or just a decrease in quality control, but the noise is so distracting it gets comments from other people walking in the same hallway. I stopped wearing them. Sending them back. Don't get me wrong, "functionally" they're still some of the best shoes around, but Merrell needs to address this issue as I am not the only one writing reviews about this.

These seemed to fit much smaller than I am used to. I kept checking to see if the size was smaller but it was not, just felt much smaller.

The Moab 2 seems to be a good shoe for hiking, especially the waterproof feature. I have owned them for about 10 months and only worn them on about 6 hikes so far. What's disappointing is that on my last hike a nearly 2-inch chunk of the sole material on the outside of the right foot came off. I noticed it when I returned home after the hike. It's the chunk of rubber where the "Vibram" wording is located and partially goes under the shoe, so there's a small area on the bottom that is now exposed as well as the side of course. I'm not sure yet how that will affect the functionality or its ability to repel water. I am disappointed that the material failed like that. Prior to that happening the shoes would have received a 5-star from me since they are very good across dirt, gravel, rocks, and all other sort of dry and wet off-road surfaces that I've encountered. They repelled water well also.

I purchased these 5/19 with high hopes. Not my first Merrell product I've owned others. These spent more time in the box than on my feet yet my feet got soaked when I hiked the first time in the rain and it came thru the shoe not in via the ankle. They claim the waterproofing deteriorates even when the shoes aren't being worn but I have never experienced that on any other brand of waterproofed product so even though the breakup is painful I'll have to move on to another brand.

I'm very displeased with your auto untie feature! You give no instruction on how to turn it off. Tie the lace very gently and in 8 or 10 minutes of walking -- shoe is untied. Tie the lace very tight and in 8 or 10 minutes and the ties (both) are loose. Very, very aggravating!!! So really -- do I have to double tie the loops (on the bow tie) so I don't have to keep retieing. Back in the 50's my mommy might have done that cause when we were at hard play they might untie!!! So please send me directions on how to turn off the auto untie feature or maybe a pair of real laces. While the tie is holding I do LOVE these shoes. I would rate them a 5!

Wore this shoe doing yard work and day hikes and was fine for first year even in winter kept feet warm and dry. However this winter noticed only my right foot kept getting soaked during wet weather. Determined this was because both sides of the toe box/cap had separated from the sole. Disappointed with the construction of the uppers portion of shoe as there is a lot of life left in the soles.

Why can't Merrell put shoe laces that actually stay tied on this shoe. It's expensive and that should include laces that work.

I have flat feet, and when I tried the Merrell MOABs in 2014, I was sold. There were like walking on air, and I didn't require an insole for my flat feet. I could wear these the whole day, and not have sore feet. Since then, the MOABs have been my daily wear, and so a pair lasts me 2 years on average. The MOAB in 2014 were Goretex-proofed, and had better breathablity and waterproofing. So did the pair I bought in 2016. Both 2014 and 2016 pairs were super comfortable all over. In 2018, Merrell changed the design/materials. The tongue of the shoe didn't sit properly, and made the shoe uncomfortable. Eventually these wore in, after a long time, much longer than the initial pairs I owned, but never as comfortable. Merrell, you need to seriously look at the design from a few years ago. The second issue is M-Dry, Merrell's own version of waterproofing. Since some of your shoes are still available in Gore-tex, I hope that the MOABs would return to using that too.
