I enjoy hiking with my Golden Retriever, and average 3 to 5 miles per day of hiking on a mix of sidewalks and grassy fields. I had several other hiking shoes before trying the Merrill Moab shoes. The Moab shoes are the best in terms of comfort, support, and durability of any others I tried. I am very satisfied with them. I have had several pairs of the Moabs and now the Moab 2s and would recommend them without hesitation. They are great shoes!!

I'm a long time Merrell customer. I've owned lots of hiking boots/shoes over my 50 years of hiking and Merrell are the best in my option.
They're all I wear.
I've been all over the Appellation Mountains, camping in Colorado, hicking in the canyons of north Georgia and when it's time to replace my shoes, it's not from defect or workmanship, but from wear and use, nothing last forever.
Buy yourself a pair and see for yourself.

This is my first type of hiking shoe and I am not disappointed. Very comfortable right out of the box and it didn’t really feel like it needed to be broke in. I highly recommend this shoe.

As someone who has had an Achilles injury, I always look for comfortable shoes. These provide the support and traction that I need. Too soon to tell how they will wear.

I absolutely love Merrell shoes. I've bought them for years. I wear the Moab waterproof or Gore-Tex wide width shoe. They fit great for every day use especially hiking.

These are the best shoes I own. I am never in a hurry to take off even after work. The comfort is so amazing and I can walk through high,wet, grass and my socks will stay dry. I used to wear timberlands but don't think I will ever go back after Merrell.

Just received this and put it through the paces out west including, believe it or not, Moab, Utah. I have a very wide foot and the "W" fit perfectly. The shoe is extremely comfortable with great traction and an excellent look on my foot. I couldn't be more pleased!

Merrill outdoor shoes are superior, in my opinion. I always buy their waterproof versions and need that feature. This is my first try of one of their shoes with Gore-Tex, which cost a bit more. So far they are great, but I am interested to learn if this waterproof product is better than their regular waterproofing. Will report in a year or so.

After reading the other reviews, I decided to try these shoes, and boy am I glad I did. They fit my 4E wide feet perfectly. They have a wide toe box, yet fit snug against my heel and when I put them on, they didn't pinch anywhere nor did they hurt. They are worth every penny I spent on them.

I am incredibly hard to fit. Wide feet, high instep. I want shoes that essentially are held on at the ankle and my feet are comfortably enveloped by the shoe without pressure anywhere. A large toe box keeps my toes from wearing holes in my socks and keeps them free from blisters. These shoes are just perfect!

I wear a 10-1/2 tennis shoe so I ordered these in that size. It was to small & returned for a size 11. The fit is now right on. Very comfortable from the start. Looking forward to go hiking in them.
