Built like a tank. IMO they make take some time to break in, especially for those of us with high archs in our feet. I attribute this to the sturdy nature of Gortex and Vibram. That's a good thing! Once broken in, you'll understand the awesomeness that is this shoe. Strong, comfortable, reliable, best customer service in the business. Sure, many shoes are half the cost. And they'll wear out 4 times as fast. Buy these and enjoy for a looooong time.

I bought these in brown for my boyfriend for his birthday. They replaced a pair I bought for him about 9-10 years ago! He said these even fit better than the first pair. He loves them!! Where do you get that kind of mileage out of a pair of shoes!? He still wears the old pair, for whatever as they still look and fit ok!!? Amazing!!

This is my second pair. This is a great hiking or city walking shoe I would recommend to anyone. My wife got a pair in her size and loves them.

I bought these Merrell boots before a service trip where we built new hiking/mountain bike trails in southern Virginia. They broke in almost immediately, and while I normally go for mid and hi-cut hiking boots, the low cut style worked really well. My only complaint is the sizing. I normally fit a Men's 10 perfectly in other hiking boot brands, but this particular size 10 was much larger than I expected.

Out of the box instant comfort. Solid, stable and high quality. Once the dnow is gone, these shoes will be on my feet every day around town and hiking too!

I have a owned pair of Moab Gore Tex shoes for over 2 years and used them year around. It's finally time to get a new pair. They provide great support and my feet have always stayed dry while walking in wet conditions. They are a bit warm for mid-summer use in hot climates, so I bought a pair of Moab Ventilators to compliment these shoes. Both styles suit there purpose admirably.

Third pair over several years. My go to boot for all seasons. Many trips and miles and they get better. Great comfort and wear

These hikers are part of my "winter uniform". I wear them in the woods and when going shopping or casual dining. I never feel like I need larger boots for winter weather. I have also always opted for the gore tex version and they have never failed in wet terrain. Right out of the box the fit and feel is great.

Great shoes. They are indeed comfortable and look sturdy. I ordered the shoes 2 sizes larger and they just fit perfectly as I use thicker wool socks. I am sure this pair will last as long as my old ones (many years).

Comfortable right out of the box. Arrival was timely, a week of foul weather. I wore them for several days as walking around shoes. Stable underfoot and my feet were dry. I'm hoping they won't too much for walking in the state parks this spring and summer. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Just ordered my second pair of MOABs. My first pair are 5yrs old and I still wear them. Looking forward to putting miles on my new pair that are on the way.

I've worn Merrell's for years so there's not to much to say. Their product is high quality which is why I've worn them. I like the option of Gortex also. This pair seemed slightly smaller than normal but after putting a few miles on them they are fine. My other pairs have lasted for years after hard usage.

Great all around water proof shoe. I wore it extensively for 10 years and just bought a replacement pair. The shoes went through: 1 Sleet storm in Boston during Head of the Charles rowing event ( the original reason I bought the shoes) 2 Numerous winters in Sweden & Norway & Syracuse NY 3 Hiking extensively in Western national parks 4 Clearing out water areas ( creeks, small rivers) from garbage Never a problem. Excellent tread and grip - NEVER leaked (I had the Gortex one). Comfortable. I wear these on a plane to snowy areas - then pack the dress shoes. Just bought a new

I've been a loyal Merrell customer for several years and always adding shoes, boots, and slip-ons to my collection. This Goretex shoe is terrific! Sturdy, but not too heavy duty (I have another pair of Merrell's for that purpose). These are now my everyday shoe and I am very pleased with the comfort, warmth, and waterproof aspect of them. I highly recommend them.

Great shoes. I am a male nurse and use these at work. Very comfortable.

They fit well and keep my feet warm without getting sweaty. Comfortable and breathable. They do need a little time to break in but overall I'm very happy with them.

Love these shoes. Your feet stay dry and warm, and are perfect for hiking. I use mine for work, and they're phenomenal. Get some!

In 2016 I replaced a worn-out pair of composite toe shoes I needed for work with a pair of Merrell's because I heard good things about them; and they just looked cool too. They have been the BEST work shoes I've ever had (and I've owned many brands) and I still wear them today with my new job. I finally broke down and decided I needed a non-work version to enjoy casually; enter the waterproofed Moab 2. They require little to no breaking in, and are a great choice for people with wide-ish feet like myself (the Medium widths). The soles are nearly bulletproof and wear like iron while they provide lots of sticky traction. A truly remarkable shoe. Can't wait to hike Turner Falls with these! Bottom Line: You'll love them, and they'd be my strictest choice for footwear if I was to survive stranded on an island or the apocalypse.

The Wide Width Moab 2 Gore-Tex is the most comfortable Moab shoe that I have worn in over 10 years of using this shoe. The wider width is perfect for my foot in exactly the same size as previously!! A great shoe made even better!!

Bought these for my boyfriend's birthday, he is very happy with them after several trail hikes so far. I hope that the waterproofing lasts, but that remains to be seen. I had a pair of these too, they lasted for quite a while and very comfortable. They are not the most lightweight shoe, but they are an all-around good hiking shoe.

Been wearing these for years. Have tried other brands once and a while only to come back to these. Great shoe out of the box.
