I was looking for a hiking low top as an alternative to my very comfortable, but heavy boots. After a ton of deliberation and research, I decided to give these shoes a try. The Moab 2 has exceeded my expectations! These are incredibly comfortable and provide a very stable platform as one of my ankles is not what it used to be due an injury. There was no break in period and as advertised ,were ready to go right out of the box. The construction is excellent and after wearing them daily through three seasons, they still look great and I have had zero issues. I have never written a review on a product, but these are a must buy if you are looking for year round daily wear hiking shoe.

Always happy with Merrell shoes. Especially like the hiking shoes and boots. These are 9W, and they fit very well and are very comfortable.

Lived in the mountains of Colorado for thirteen years and these were my go to hiking shoes when the trails didn't call for high tops. I now live in Florida and do flat land hiking with my Moabs; no need for high tops here. On my third pair and couldn't be more pleased.

great arch support. very comfortable to wear. this is my second pair. I hope that Merrell keeps making this model

Not as comfortable as the Moab boots but still good. Waterproof is a nice touch.

I would highly recommend Merrell shoes. I use them for hiking and everyday wear. Wore one pair just over 435 miles on the PCT and they are still in good shape and have been wearing that pair on weekends since August. Only draw back is the shoestrings do not last as long as the shoes.

I have suffered from plantars faciitis for some time....most recently, coupled with a pulled achilles tendon, i was barely able to walk...my wife bought me a pair of these for christmas. i was skeptical but i wore them.....the difference in the pain (lack of) is amazing. i have been wearing them for three days and am amazed at the improvement!! in the event i get complete relief, they will be great for hiking.... great shoes!!!

I've been wearing these shoes for almost 15 yrs... I walk around 4 miles a day at work. These are the best shoes for comfort and traction you will find. I put them through all the elements and they never fail me that's why I get a new pair every year... best and most comfortable shoes made!

These shoes are comfortable and wear well. I have custom orthotics inserted and some shoes don't have a sufficiently high heal to accommodate the orthotic. I wear the shoes as every-day wear but also hiking.

So glad to get my Merrell's, they are all I wear!

This is my second pare of these shoes. I have never had a problem with staying dry. (Somewhere along the way, I also tried the waterproof that was NOT gore-tex, and I don't think I could say the same.)

Finally a wide shoe that looks great, can be worn with a variety of clothing styles and still feels great at the end of day! Glad I found it. Thanks.

I have been wearing Merrell shoes for a long time. The new pair of Moab 2 Gore-Tex have not disappointed. Keep up the good work!

My 4th pair of Merriells and my 1st pair of Moabs. I wear every day. Very comfortable and supportive and go well with my new retirement wear (jeans and cargos). Water proof is a major bonus for rainy days or early morning dew. Merrells are the perfect shoe for me!

I was pleasantly surprised. Most shoes take a long time for me to break them in. These fit well out of the box and were very comfortable hiking.

Requires little or no break in period. Need to buy a 1/2 size diwn

My first pair of Merrells! These appear to be extremely well made. I haven't worn them a lot yet but they were very comfortable right out of the box. Mainly purchased them for yard work & light hiking but look forward to see how they hold up in the slush and snow this winter.

I recently purchased this shoe and I have yet to take it outdoors on a hike; however, the shoe is true to size and has good support. I have been breaking it in around the house and it appears to be a comfortable shoe with good arch support. I usually place an additional orthotic support in the shoe and there is room enough for this without binding up your foot. The shoe is waterproof which will be good for rainy or snowy conditions. If I ever have any issues I know that Merrell will back up their shoes 100%. Also, every Moab I have purchased in the past has lasted far longer than expected!

Great fit, true to size. Very comfortable. First time for Moab. wont be the last.
