These are my husband's year-round favorites. Hiking through the woods on the weekend or following a homeowner through a new construction site to write a bid on a Tuesday, out to dinner with me and friends or driving the tractor-- whatever the occasion, you will find him in his Merrells. He has a bad ankle, the result of a decade old copperhead bite and appreciates the extra support.

I bought these in the summer and did a 8 mile hike in the mountain. They were perfect. Today I Fell off a ladder, while putting Christmas lights up, and I'm 100% sure these boots saved my right ankle from breaking!

I purchased these around January of 2015 and have put them to the test these past almost 7 years now. They've held up for deployments in mountainous reigns, training in swamps and deserts and every day use. To be able to say I still have ample tread on the sole, no rips/tears anywhere and even the laces are holding up. Hands down the best pair I've ever owned.

Great quality boot. I bought these for my husband who believes they fit him perfectly. They are ready for hiking upon arrival! Super comfortable and durable! We go hiking often. He says the grip is good too.

Comfortable right out of the box. 5 days, 4 nights on the trail as soon as got then without any blisters or other issues. Gravel, roots, rock and sand was no problem.

This is my third pair. I work in emergency management, disaster preparedness and response. I work with various volunteer partners as well as with the volunteers that directly support the county government. There are two primary teams (Damage Assessment, Search and Rescue) that training out of doors. My daily task killed the routine work shoe and a sneaker had no safety for my feet. I have chosen the Merrell, Moad 2 or they chose me. Either way, I have two pair I inter change daily for work and the third, older more broken in pair goes the the outdoor recreational side of my life.

This is my first pair of wide width shoes so I wasn't sure what to expect. It turns out they are way more comfortable than the medium width which I instictively purchased first. Those were a little too tight for my liking so glad I gave the wides a shot. Overall comfort seems good but I've yet to actually hike in these boots so time will tell. Fingers crossed.

I have an older pair that I wore everyday on a 2004 deployment in the mountains of Afghanistan, and also hiked up Kilimanjaro in rain and snow with these. I still have them, and while I'm possibly looking for something new that might have a bit more waterproofing (but would then be heavier), these still work perfectly and are extremely comfortable even on that year long adventure where I wore them everyday.

This is my fourth pair off Merrell Moab 2 Vent Mid boots. These cannot be beat in hot, humid humid summer environments when you don't need a pair of water proof boots. These are extremely breathable boots and are comfortable straight out of the box with little to no break in. I was considering the new Merrell Men's Yokota boot, but one design feature made we stick with the Moab boot instead. The Yokota only has a single rivet on the upper lace pull, but the Moab has two rivets on each lace pull. I've never had a lace pull fail on me on any of the Moab boots (Mid and Low cut). The only criticism I have for Merrell--and hope Merrell leadership reads this and responds accordingly--is to make it much easier to matching purchase factory laces for this boot when the laces break. Otherwise a great, comfortable boot.

I wear a brace attached inside my left shoe. I'm comfortable and don't have any problems with my left leg now. However, a grommet ripped off of my right boot and it's loosely tied up. Can I get a replacement?

Great boots, the only ones I can find that fit my ducklike feet. (Even the women's aren't quite wide enough.) They're light, flexible, grippy enough for the light hiking I do. And perfectly comfortable and stylish enough for everyday wear with jeans.

Excellent product. Bought these for climbing Blanca peak Colorado and they lived up to the hype even under a 40lb pack. They almost feel like they're helping propel you forward while walking. The vibram sole held up great on the jagged granite of the ascent, and only show minimal signs of wear. At one point during the hike I stumbled and stepped into a creek, but the boot was "walked dry" in roughly a half hour! (Ventilator is a very appropriate name if you ask me). Very pleased with my purchase.
Ps- if this boot was available as an 8" with speed laces it would be the perfect all purpose boot, imo.
