I have 3 pairs of these and would buy another when needed. I hike 2-3 miles almost every day in the woods or on paved walkways.

The boot was comfortable, very ventilated, and the traction was unbelievable. I would definitely buy again, in fact I have the weatherproof Version on its way now.

This is the 4th pair of these I've purchased. All are fine but one has a problem in the arch area. Can you offer any help?

Super comfortable, good traction. Fit my wide feet very well even with two heavy socks, but with one light sock don't slide around. Will buy Merrells again.

Spent 6 days on aggressive trip threw BWCA. Feet are wet all day long with multiple portsges each day. Most comfortable boot I have ever used on this type of trip.

Excellent day-hiking boot here in Colorado in the high peaks (13ers & 14ers) with a hi-traction/hi-friction sole. Solid foot support for long hikes and ankle protection.

Been using the Moab 2 since I started working at the post office. I walk about 12-14 miles a day for work in these . Best shoes for the job or just hiking in general . Wear merino wool socks NOT cotton socks.

Great boot and great value. Far better ankle support than most light hikers. And they last longer as well.

Everyday for work and winter knocking around. Light. Breathability means warm because feet don't get damp from perspiration. Flawless Merrill construction and comfort.

I wear custom orthotics and Merrells are my go-to shoe for a great footbed and removable insole. The Moab 2 is my everyday work boot.

DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING! The Moab 2 (both low and mid) are just fine as they are. I've been wearing them for years. Please don't try to "improve" them. Just ask yourself: how many products that you have liked have then been "improved" and the result is not nearly as good as the original? DO NOT CHANGE!

My Merrill Moab's kept my feet warm and allowed me plenty of traction up on the Tahoe Rim Trail. Hiked the trail in early Oct and then used those same boots for snow shoeing up near Mt Rose summit in Nevada, at the end of this past January. Boots not only kept my feet warm and dry but were flexible enough to allow easy movement while trekking through both power and packed snow, in my snow shoes

Great boot. I bought it to replace another brand that I had worn to death. I really like the single quick lace eyelet on these as opposed to the three that I had on my old ones. Much faster to get into and they seem just as well fitted as my old ones. I really like these, especially the wide width. Let's me wear heavy wool socks and still leaves plenty of air room to keep warm.

Had surgery on back last year. L5-S1 and always in a constant level of pain. Bought these to provide good traction from falls and for the occasional hiking trips during the summer. Surprised to find how much pressure these relieve from the spine. Even just standing is a big improvement. Most definitely buying another pair or 3. Looking forward to putting some miles in with these this spring/summer.

The size of the shoes are great, they appear to be a bit wider than normal but, not enough to make me send them back. The arch support I am not worried about as I have custom orthotics to place in my shoes so I remove the inserts. I really appreciate that Zappos covers shipping and return fees as sometimes shoes do not fit as you expect and to be able to return and try another is great. I have been a Zappos customer for well over 15 years and continue to be a happy customer and say, "Thanks" for the great service.,
I'd also recommend:
Dr Marten, New Balance and Rockport

The shoes fit well but, width seems a bit more than normal. I do not look for arch support as I remove the inserts so that I can place my own orthodics in the shoes. Wore shoes to work today and, they did a great job. Zappos, you are the greatest with the no delivery/return shipping charge. That is one of the reasons that I have been a Zappos customer for 15 plus years. I will admit that it took a couple pair of the shoes to find a good fit, but I have. Thanks, Hank

I owned my MOAB for about 2 years now, and wore them on several hiking. To be honest, I hated it at first because it felt stiff, but after breaking it in (about 1 day of walking), it turned into a very comfortable shoes. It is not the lightest hiking shoes out there, but it is well padded, which makes it something that you can wear all day, and not worry about developing any blister or sore feet. Well, at least I didn't. Quality wise, I used it on both maintained and rugged trails, and so far, it's been holding up well.
