This is my second pair - the first were purchased over 5 years ago and used many, many times. These are my go-to hiking shoes. I have had a brief breaking-in period, especially around the ankles where they feel stiff. The comfort is great. My last pair was mostly waterproof but I always use 2 coats of waterproofing spray for Spring wetness on the trails. I normally wear a size 10 but I get a 10 wide in these just so my toes have room to spread out while walking/climbing.

Love these boots! They are very warm even on the coldest days. They work great for snowshoeing! Looking forward to summer hikes. I got a half size up to pair with a thicker sock and they fit perfectly. Great quality boots!!

They are great, while water proof note they also retain perspiration. Important if using in hot weather

I've been hiking for about a year now, and I was using come hiking chucks I got a while. But I decided to finally buy some quality hiking boots and I'm glad I did! I used them for the first time a couple days ago and I loved them! Perfect grip going up in steep hills, or going down hill. Very warm (it was a cold day), no blisters after hiking for about 4 hrs, unlike my other boots, they always mess up my toes, but these boots have plenty of space, perfect snug fit. I don't know about the waterproof part but but their perfect for rocky/dry/muddy trails.

This is my first pair of hiking boots. I walk everyday and needed a sturdy and waterproof walking boot to use in winter weather and hiking trails. I have wide feet and it has been difficult finding a comfortable walking shoe. My sister recommended Merrell. I am so happy she did. I love my boots! They were super comfortable right out of the box. I highly recommend these boots if you love walking anywhere!

Chose these boots because I take my dogs every morning to our local park for a big walk. These are perfect because no matter the weather, I can be sturdy on my feet and keep dry! LOVE THEM!

I love my boots. I walk on cement floors all day my feet were killing me, wearing my new boots my feet no longer hurt. I wear them hiking all the time. By far this is the best shoe I own and I wear them all the time. Just bought another pair love them.

During the pandemic, I walk at least 8 kms. every day and so foot comfort has become very important. I've been wearing these shoes for about a month and the wide width and removable sole (can insert my custom orthotic) have been helpful for my plantar fasciitis and small bunion. I haven't had to test these shoes in wet conditions, but so far they have proved sturdy and reliable.

Theses are my third pair of Merrells, and they are just as comfortable as ever. From the first time wearing them they feel like a pair of slippers and don't require any time to break in. I will continue to wear Merrells for years to come!

This is my second pair, (first pair lasted five years). They are perfect for hiking. Also recommended by my foot doctor.

Comfort right out of the box!!! I have almost impossible feet to fit. My right foot has a large, painful bunion and a hammertoe. My left foot is fine. Both ankles are very weak but especially the right one. These shoes are wide in the toe area so they do not put any pressure on my bunion. Fortunately they are not wide in the heel. They make me feel steady when I walk and give great support to my feet and ankles. Therefore I highly recommend them.

Love these boots! Sizing is on-spot and nicely accommodates my high arch. Walking the dogr, snow shoveling, snow sledding - nice tread and my feet stay dry. My last pair was 5 years old - it was time for an upgrade. This is why I keep coming back to Merrell.

I love these shoes. I've hiked as little as 3miles in them to as much as 10 miles in them and they felt good. They have a lot of support and they are definitely waterproof; I've walked through streams in these things and came out dry. Would recommend.

I had a pair of these that lasted at least 6 years. Completely waterproof and very warm. So far these new ones are the same. I recommend these hikers.

Everything you could ask for in a mid rise hiking boot; comfortable, warm, waterproof and good traction. Have worn these for winter beach walks and walking trails with combination conditions of snow, ice, and mud. Very pleased with the comfort and support.
