This is my second pair, and I wouldn't wear any other brand boot hiking the White Mountains in New Hampshire.

I received my boots this morning 1/6/2023, wore them right out of the box on my daily walk and it was a Pacific Northwest pouring rain type of day. Clothes got soaked but my feet were comfortable and dry!

I've had several pairs of boots since i have taken up hiking. A friend recommended Merrell; further, on a visit to the AT HQ, I saw a few people with them so i thought i would give it a try. I am 55 and 250. Size 12. These boots got me through 430 miles of the Palmetto Trail (series of 1-3 day hikes - 30 lb pack, if that - mix of trails and blacktop), 77 miles of the Foothills trail (50lb pack constant rain - trail, creeks, elevation changes) and i wore them as my everyday shoe in between. For comfort, and obviously versatility, the best boot i have owned.

This is my first pair of Merrell boots. They are the most comfortable boot I have owned without having to "break them in"

Merrell shoes are undoubtedly the best shoes made! They are flexible, not heavy and stiff like most other shoes' and my gosh they never fall apart! I am 60 and I have worn shoes from all over the world, and believe me they are the best!!

Great boot for the price. Got me through k9 school in North Carolina. Waterproofing and sole held up through 6 weeks of trail and backwoods hiking with a k9.

Like walking on clouds. Used on trails and cross country, both dry and in the snow. Quality boots I would buy again.

Merrell is a good brand for casual outdoor shoes and for budget-oriented hikers. However, it's one of the best brands for hiking boots and hiking shoes. They specialize in "snikers"hybrid sneaker-hikers that lag behind the best brands for hiking boots and shoes in support, durability, and overall quality.
