We absolutly put these boots through the paces. We are part of a Boy Scout heading to Philmont Scout Ranch. Our training hikes were in the White Mountains (NH), early spring. We hit the boots with water, windy, slippery rocks and slippery roots. Then our trek in New Mexico was sunny with heat and elevation. The Moab 2 held up to all of the punishment! I need a wide boot and there are enough sized for my feet (my nickname is big foot). I highly recomment these boots.

Wore these hiking in the Badlands and Black Hills in SD. Excellent support and traction.

Really nice Moabs. I've always gotten the lower type, so this is the first high top I've had. Very comfortable, great footbed and support. I don't hike anymore, but I bet these would be great on trail climbs. I've enjoyed them over the winter and into May just for everyday casual use, but may switch to something else (Merrell) for the warmer weather.

I'm totally in love with this boot. It's lightweight but warm and so comfortable! I have planter issues but not with this boot on my feet. Highly recommend.

For the last 7 years, I have worn these shoes virtually every single day all day! They were endorsed by my fellowship-trained foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon. I love them and last year persuaded my wife to start wearing them, and she is also now a devotee of this shoe! I purchase a new pair about once a year!

My feet are as wide as they are long and Merrill's, at least for me are true to size...7W, comfortable right out of the box. Great value.

Great for hiking Wyoming, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee and other places

They blow keens outta the water!!!! I've tried many different brands of mid cut hiking boots and you will never find durability like these!!! I've found keens feel lighter and less clunky but that really doesn't matter after the fact that they break after a month of use and these will last you many many busy hiking seasons. Their actually water proof too, they work great for winter boots, I'm a post man and so I need a good pair of boots. These boots have a layer on the top toe box I swear that just does not get wet no matter what. No but really you won't be disappointed.

These are amazing boots that hold up and look great while they are doing it. They are my sons favorite boots.

I have several Merrel shoes. This Moab 2 Mid wide width fits extremely well to my feet. They have great support and lightweight. not test waterproof yet, though.

Interior Padding thick enough for Canadian winter. Bottom tread seem deep enough to walk on thicker snow.

I've been wearing different styles and colors of the Merriell hiking boots for years with the right wool socks. Gave as Christmas present to my husband (and a new color for myself) and we love them! Been on a couple mountain hikes in Colorado this winter. He commented the slight curve of the heel was a bit to get used to. But when we arrived back at the car he expressed his love of the shoe. Feet are comfy and warm!

I need a wide width shoe, and these fit the bill perfectly. Very comfortable right from the get go.

Good fitting boots needed with ankle support; I won't know about the waterproofing until later in the spring.

My husband loves these boots. He wears them for all occasions and everywhere, on the beach, for walks, dinner out, doing yard work, and hiking. This is the 3rd pair I have bought him. According to him, they are light weight, very comfortable, have great arch support, and breathable which makes them cooler.

Great boot at a great price. The last pair lasted 10 years of A LOT OF WALKING AND HIKING!

I have been very impressed on the support and comfort of these shoes. Possibly the best I have ever had in a boot. And as an added bonus, they have been surprisingly great and keeping my feet dry. Was an assistant harbormaster I used them recently on a bumpy ride for a new boat test drive. Lots of water on board. They were not u der water but did keep my feet dry as water was flying all over.

I bought these to replace my hiking boots that lost a sole after 15 years. So far the fit is good and I like the look. I've worn them in the snow but have not yet put a lot of miles on the trail.

Finally wide shoes the fit and feel amazing!! Would like the Chameleon 8 Stretch came in wide!!!

These are the warmest waterproof work boots I have ever owned and they are comfortable even when I'm doing work on my knees and don't scrunch my toes! Bought a better insole but I Will be buying these again! Seem to hold up well for carpenter's!

I've used these on a couple of hikes already and I am pleased so far. They provide comfort, support for my planter fasciitis, and they grip well.
