Overall I've been really impressed with these boots. I have oddly-shaped feet so finding shoes that fit is not always a simple task. I typically wear between a 10.5 and an 11. Most D-width shoes are too narrow for my feet as well as I need a wider toe box than typical (though some Nike, New Balance fit decently in a D). For these boots I ordered the 11 W, which so far are maybe the best-fitting shoes I've owned in quite some time, even with thicker boot socks. I haven't tested them in deep water or anything, but in the snow and slush I've worn them around in so far they seem to keep the water out as advertised. As these are boots and not running shoes/sneakers like I typically wear, the rigidity of the sole and the higher-top (mid vs low) is something I will need to get used to, however it's expected. Would I recommend these? Definitely. I would recommend to that you order multiple sizes, multiple widths and try them on at home with various socks that you might wear. This will give you an idea of the very best fit that you can achieve. Zappos makes it really easy to do so with their generous return policy.

Great shoe for everyday wear during the cooler months and for taking urban adventures. I have traveled with this over three continents and am getting a new pair because one of the soles is wearing out. I love these shoes.

Ordered these for my son who always wears Merrells. He loves this brand. Also, since he works outside, sometimes in the rain, having waterproof as an option is great.

The boot was comfortable from the start. The fit seemed a little tight so I went ahead and ordered a second pair that was 1/2 size larger. The larger pair is perfect. I recommend going larger in size, especially if you plan on wearing heavy socks. My plans are to wear this boot to work in a casual office environment. It looks really nice with casual khaki/cargo style pants.
