Broke on the first outing wearing them. Live Columbia gear normal just disappointed the latch for the top part of the laces fell right off when relaxing, now I can't use them properly

I received these boots as a gift last January. Great intro boot having just moved to Colorado - comfortable, great support. I'm not an avid hiking, at most do 4-5 miles walking with my dog. In the past year I wore my boots not even 15 times before the sole of the boot completely fell apart at the ball of both boots, leaving the boot completely exposed to the elements. I loved these boots but definitely feel disappointed by the price and "quality" of a boot that a reputable brand is expected to produce. I'd understand if I was out and about hiking 14ers, but my style of hiking is more leisurely. 10/10 disappointed

My positive review ends at they are a pretty shoe and they are waterproof (I've soaked them in puddles and hiked in the rain)....Fit wise, I bought a 10 and 10.5 (I am a size 10), and decided on the 10, because my feet were sliding too much in the 10.5 even with bulky socks. I took these on both an overnight backpacking trip (16 miles), as well as a couple 5 mile day hikes, and every time I am left with black toe nails and aching feet. The soles are not supportive and you can feel every rock and root under your feet from the start. There is almost no ankle support, unless you tie the laces extremely tight, which then become uncomfortable. The tongue padding is sooo bulky and cumbersome, and really gets in the way of tying the boots snuggly. Really disappointed with these boots and don't know what to do with them now that I've worn them.....

Very very disappointed in this product! Purchased for a week long hike through Volcano National Park (marked trails) and the sole wore all the way through with pieces of rubber disintegrating and falling to the trail. I had to continually pick up rubber and pack it out. :( Other Columbia Boots my husband purchased were fantastic; these were terrible. I would not recommend these books for gravel trail hiking. ( They may work fine on grassy trails...) See pictures of "breakdown". I plan to return these to Columbia and hope to exchange them for style my husband purchased; his are like new after doing the same hike. Hmmmmm

I'm very upset with these shoes. Never in my life have I slipped and fell so much while hiking on all terrains. Other people I was with never had an issue while walking the same path. Because they have zero grip, I did NOT feel safe hiking a mountain in these shoes. Also, a little too bulky and unflexable for hiking. I will say they make a great work boot cause very tough. For the price I payed I want to return them and get what I need.

Have owned these boots just shy of a year. Only started wearing them regularly three months ago. Every time I wear them in snowy or wet conditions my toes get wet. I specifically sought out waterproof boots when I purchased these. Very disappointing that these are not.

Got these for my brother a couple months ago. The hardware for the shoelaces broke off after just a few wears - we live in New York and he takes these just for occasional camping trip. The hardware snapped off and now cannot tie the boot properly. Frustrated that the warranty requires that the customer ship heavy boots back at customer expense. I am disappointed in the quality considering this brand and tired of spending money to get poor quality shoes fixed.
