The last time I purchased Columbia boots before recently was about 17 years ago. That's how long the boots last! They're still fine, but I wanted a newer looking pair. I bought the waterproof hiking boots, which I wear as winter boots in New England. The boots are comfortable, warm and have great grip on ice and snow. Recommend!

After trying on several styles and brands of hiking boots I found the perfect fit and style with the Columbia Newton Ridge Plus Waterproof Amped Hiking boots. I wear size 6 in sneakers so I went up a half size to accommodate thicker socks for hiking. I love how comfortable they feel and they provide a bit of arch support which is helpful. The footbed has a nice cushion. I especially love the lower back design of these boots to provide more comfort. They felt so comfortable as soon as I put them on. I have worn them around my neighborhood to break in for my next hike. These are my go to boots for hiking. So glad I found them!

Finally a traditional hiking boot that looks good and fits well. Love the gray color for jeans since I walk to work.

These are my second pair of Columbia hiking boots. I had my first pair for 5 years before I had to start thinking about buying a new pair. These boots are so comfortable and require 0 breaking in. They are perfect from the first moment you wear them. And I love the different colors you can get them in. I have recommended these boots to many people because I love them so much. I've worn them hiking on a variety of different difficulty levels and they held up on all of them. Get these boots!!!

I have been on the hunt for a good pair of work boots/hiking boots. I am flat footed with back issues, so finding a pair that I can live in is almost impossible. The first day I wore these, I didn't want to take them off. They are so comfortable, true to size, and the traction is great for hiking, working on the farm, and extensive walking. Everyone was slipping and sliding except for my wife. These boots have great grip, breath ability, and waterproof technology. Just rinse them off and they're good as new. Didn't need to break them in as they were ready to go.

It's been a struggle to find comfortable hiking boots for me (none seem to feel right!) but I ordered these online and when they arrived, they felt comfy right away! No need to break them in. They are light weight, cute, and extremely comfortable. Highly recommend.

I love shoes and need them to be cute, even when it comes to hiking boots! These paid have 3 amazing color ways and are exceptionally comfortable. I typically wear a 7 and ordered a 7.5 and they fit perfectly, so they run slightly on the small side. Can't wait to get more hikes done with these!

I was satisfied with the pair of hiking boots for mostly the waterproof design in them . They give me a great uphill stride , my trek will now be comforted by my Newton Ridge hiking boots .I feel amped with the waterproofing.

These boots are super comfortable and good for both winter and summer hiking. They run slightly large but not enough to have to change sizes. Would buy again

I am not a huge hiker but I spend a lot of time outdoors. These boots are so comfortable. They support my higher arch as well as give good ankle support. I love the fit and style!

I was worried about ordering these online before trying them on. Usually in most shoes I am a 7.5 (Sperry, sneakers, sandals) but occasionally in some heels I am an 8. I ordered a 7.5 and they fit great! There is room for thicker socks but they also fit well with regular athletic socks. They are comfy as soon as you put them on. I haven't tested them in water yet.

I don't usually do reviews but wanted to let those unsure of sizing know that they run true to size. I contemplated ordering these boots for quite a while, and went back and forth on what size to order based on the many reviews that said they run small. I wear size 7 in running/hiking shoes and am so glad i ordered my true size. I do not have wide feet (not narrow either, just average) and they are quite roomy, plenty of room for my toes to wiggle around. I could go down a size to 6.5 but don't want to hassle with a return - with hiking socks these will be perfect. Seriously, these are the BEST hiking boots ever - comfortable right out of the box. Nice cushiony support unlike any other pair of 'stiff' hiking boots i've ever tried on. Might not be quite stiff enough for long strenuous hikes but perfect for a day hike. Haven't worn them out yet but am confident they will be everything i was hoping for. PLEASE Columbia don't stop making these boots. They are PERFECT.

These boots are amazing! Living in South Ga, the ground is generally dirt, dirt or red dirt. These boots are amazing when hiking through the terrain of slip-n-slide! They are waterproof, just don't jump into ponds with them. They have their breaking point at 5 minutes just standing in water. Pretty amazing if you ask me! They fit right to my foot and because I have bad ankles, due to my weight, these babies are so tight against them, I can walk for hours!!! Amazing buy, amazing product. I recommend these for every outdoors adventure!
