These boots appear well made with quality materials. My husband loves his pair purchased last year and now I love mine! Looking forward to warm dry feet for the rest of winter!

Lost everything in a house fire and these are great replacements! Hiked in muddy, rocky terrain and didn't slip once. Waterproofing was awesome. Was leery buying without trying on, but turned our great!
I'm usually a 9 1/2 without my Ortho inserts so I get a half size bigger to accommodate them.

These felt true to size, with plenty of room in the toe box for feet to splay. Arch support was situated in a good place for me .I have a very high arch and sometimes have trouble getting into boots, but these went on fairly easily. I find them pretty comfortable as is, but will put a Powerstep insole in before using. The waterproofing is a definite plus.

Ordered these for an upcoming trip to New York City knowing we'll be walking a lot. Have worn them about three times to break in, but don't think I needed to. Comfortable from the first time I put them on. Love the color and look of these!

These boots are amazing, I bought the blues and they look perfect with the pink laces. These boots are totally comfortable, I bought half a size up and is perfect. Totally recommend it.

Very comfortable fit, absolutely no break in period required. They were perfect right out of the box. Even though they are suede, due to the waterproofing the water beads up and keeps your feet nice and dry.

After having hiked without a hiking shoe recently I went on a quest to find a good pair. I found these and read the reviews and did my comparisons. Received and tried them out. Not only are they so comfortable and do the job, they are also styling! I am so happy with this purchase and would definitely purchase again. I use these on snow days and nature days.

Full honesty - I haven't worn these on strenuous hikes yet. They have been mainly worn around town or on small hikes. I bought the dark grey/crown jewel color and they resemble a cute pair of high tops. Wearing them to work on casual days is perfectly fine with these shoes. I normally wear a size 7 but went for an 8 due to the active nature of the shoe. It was the right call. I love them.

I was looking for a good pair of waterproof hiking boots to replace my old pair which wore out. Ordered a blue pair in 8.5 but they were just too big so I talked with a nice lady at customer service who walked me through the exchange process to get a size 8. She even called me an hour later to ask if I would be ok with the grey model because they were out of stock in blue. No problem. For being an online exchange the process was super easy. Now I have my shoes, I am happy with the fit and grippyness of soles. They seemed a bit narrow at first but were just find after walking for a bit. I even had a chance to test the waterproofness yesterday and yes my feet stayed dry. Thanks Zappos!

Not sure how Columbia Sportswear managed to combine a cleverly styled hiking boot with impeccable design and function but they nailed it! This boot was comfortable from day one, has just the right amount of support without being rigid and is incredibly sturdy. Love this boot and look forward to many days of hiking in them this spring and summer!

I have very picky feet and have wide feet with narrow heels. I've been typically ordering shoes 1/2 size larger so my feet won't feel claustrophobic but with these boots, my normal size in a wide width worked perfectly. I'm not sure they're rugged enough for me to wear as backpacking boots but they will be great for winter hiking. Very well cushioned and comfortable.
I dinged them one star because of the total lack of arch support. I removed the inserts and inserted better ones.

I just picked out and received my new winter hiking boots! I go through a pair a year. This year, I chose Women's Newton Ridge Plus Waterproof Amped Hiking Boot. They are awesome!!! These are the first boots I have ever had that didn't require breaking in. I wore them continuously from the moment I got them for three days. They are so comfortable that I never took them off for other indoor shoes. Furthermore, I love the continuous tongue. Red shoe laces are just the icing on the cake! Thanks, Columbia!!
