Love these!

I gave these in a size 8 to my wife for Christmas. She LOVES them! She's already gone hiking in them and reports they are very true to size and width, with no sore spots whatsoever. Though not having hiked up or down any really steep hills yet, the traction appears to be very good and should perform well when the going gets steep and/or slippery. We both love the styling, which we feel is so much more stylish than many other brand offerings - if style is important to you. Style takes a back seat to build quality and performance, of course, and these seem to check all those boxes. Long-term durability remains to be seen. We've had very good luck with a variety of Columbia merchandise in the past, so we're expecting the same with these. I wear a different brand which caters to people like me with excessively wide feet (6E)!

This were perfect for a trip up to the snow. We did a short hike in this that was a mix of concrete and snow. My feet stayed dry and it had great grip. The boot offers good ankle support as well. The colors are pretty. Usually wear a 7.5 and wide feet, ordered 7.5W and it was perfect!

Columbia does a really good job of balancing price with quality and these boots were not an exception. I’ve worn them on hikes up to 7.5 miles over different kinds of terrain including rocks and scrambles, and these boots have given me good support and good grip. I wear them with wool hiking socks and after my very first hike with them, I’ve had zero issues with rubbing or blisters. I’ve also stepped through shallow streams and worn them in mud and snow, and they’ve kept my toes nice and dry.

I wear a 5.5 and it's always hard to find shoes, especially hiking boots, in my size at the stores. The width felt tighter than expected on one foot (my right foot, which is a bit wider than my left) when I got it and worried that it was going to kill my feet on my hike (I didn't get the chance to break them in before going on a hiking trip). Surprisingly, it worked itself out just fine. My feet were super comfortable, it didn't feel tight, and I guess I naturally broke them in on my first hike. There was a bit of snow and it was icy during my hike and my boots gave me nice ankle support without digging into my achilles (a problem with my last pair of cheaper hiking boots), my feet were warm and dry, and most importantly, my feet were comfy and were not in pain. Glad I was able to find my size on Zappos and happy I spent the money to buy a nice pair of hiking boots.

These shoes fit me perfectly. I ordered my normal size and no break in was required. Very lightweight and I love the color too !
