I'm 6'2" 269lbs and active
Due to a bad car accident years ago, I underwent my 5th back surgery July 5, 2017. The herniated disc (L5-S1) bruised my S1 nerve root. The bruising has left me unable to plant and step with my left foot and only able to walk on my heel. For work, I've always had Ecco Track series, which are great shoes. Unfortunately, I was unable to wear them because the heel in the shoe was firm.
I had purchased my Bondi 5's 4 months prior to the surgery and was very happy with the cushion, wear, and light weigh of the shoes. If it weren't for the Bondi 5's and their thick cushioned heel, I would have to use a cane or walker today.
As of today, December 28, 2017, there is plenty of wear left on the bottom. For someone my size and activity, I can't say enough about the Bondi 5's. I purchased my 2nd pair recently and will purchase another pair of Black when these wear thru sometime this decade!
Thank you so much Hoka One One for allowing me to walk without the need of a cane or walker!

Great fit right out of the box great comfort only because I did pay attention to the others when they advised to go with the wide shoe if your foot was a little bit wide because they do run narrow even with the wide they were just a good fit, sure not too wide at all. Just right! And did I tell you how comfortable they are? They are like walking on clouds— AND OH DID I MENTION HOW LIGHT WEIGHT THEY ARE! It is the lightest weight shoe I have ever owned. I love that part. Not heavy or clunky at all! Great support too in these. Just a great shoe and I am not a runner, I got these to wear while I’m standing for hours on concrete floors!! THEY WORK! My feet thank me now every minute that I go up and down those halls. So for runners I know they would be awesome shoes you never ever feel anything under your feet. Just clouds!
Thank you Zappos.
Merry Christmas to you each!

I had Achilles surgery after which my doctor strongly recommended I try the Hoka One Ones. I will use them frequently now during recovery and will consider them after wards as well. So far I love them.

I have put maybe 250 Miles on my "all back everything" B5's. Very stiff, but not a bad thing in my opinion. It is after all a road shoe. I'm 195 am currently on vacation in NYC running 5 Miles then walking up to 9 Miles a day in the shoes and they feel great. My feet never hurt. This is my 9th or 10 th pair of Hoka's. I like the marshmallow feel of the older shoes. This new batch is good too. The more stable feel I think helps with body mechanics, almost no back pain. I'm a 14, my foot looks wide but in the correct size length wise I'm standard with. Great shoe love the black styling. Super cool.

I ran a few times so far in the Bondi 5. The quality is there. The only complaint that I have is it runs small. Before purchasing I read the reviews and decided to go up a half size. Glad I did. Even with the half size increase they are a little small. Using them now for mid mileage runs but because they run small will not be using them for my longer runs.

If you are working/standing on your feet all day, these (Bondi 5) just might be the most comfortable shoe on the planet. Working/standing on concrete all day can wear down the bottoms of my heels, but the Bondi 5 are remarkable. I am 6'2" and 225 lbs. HOWEVER, I feel it is important to mention that they do fit just a tad tight. I typically wear 11 Medium, but they were a little tight on the sides of my feet. Length was spot on. So, for the FIRST time in my life, I picked up 11 Wide, and they are perfect right out of the box.

Just got back from a trip to Israel where we walked 5 to 8 miles a day on very uneven pavement, stones, rocks, gravel etc. I weigh 250 pounds with a bad foot operated on a year ago. These shoes ( have two pairs) made all the difference. I never felt the slightest discomfort over any of the terrain. It felt like walking on my bed. I have the Bondi 5 for maximum cushion.

I’m taking the family hopefully for the last time to Disney, needing a new pair of tennis shoes I’ve been buying mizumo for years but these are much much more comfortable, I actually felt an a great feeling as soon as I stood up with them indicating these are keepers. Disney here I come! Thanks Zappos, great customer service and much cheaper than Amazon.

The Bondi 5 is an amazing maximum cushioning shoe. It provides a very plush smooth ride. It is a great choice for road runs of any length. It is best for Neutral stability. For more a Stable stability, get the Arahi.
This shoe is also lightweight.

This was my first purchase from Hokaoneone. I am amazed by the comfort of the Bondi 5. I run on a treadmill 4 times per week. The first time that I used them blew my mind. They feel like menory foam mattresses on my feet. I did not encounter any knee, ankle or foot pain during my workout. Outstanding comfort, I love these sneakers!

I am a retired attorney. I have participated in running races and triathlons all my adult life. For the last 2 years I have been treated for plantar facetious. During the course of my present treatment, I could not walk in any hard or soft shoe. That all changed when I got my HOKA shoes. While still painful to walk, I can do so. My workouts at the gym are more comfortable. In addition to the Biondi 5, I have a pair of the Clifton 3.

They are giving a free emergency wrist band which I think it is great if you like to run without your drivers license or a jangling pair of dog tags. These are my second pair of Hook's . I first wanted to buy Nike but the lady in the Shoe store just said " try these on " I have ran 1/2 marathon in Vegas and they shoe held up very well. I run about five miles every other day. I'm 185 lbs and 64 years old. If you are a thin person; you might like a lighter shoe. I have owned the Bondi 1 and find much improvement with the 5. I love the color too GRIFFIN / ASPHALT. Not too in your face. I think it is a very clean look. I like the cushy slight bounce to the shoe while running. Also a great general all around shoes. I am a heavy traveler and would feel good on long walks as well as fancy hotels. Again. Not too obtrusive in looks. They have a firm fit that envelopes the food. Not too tight. I like the box toe system that give your toe the extra compartment it needs to move around. Some shoes are so tight on the toe that after a couple of hours running your toe may constantly hit the front of the shoe and be sore. This doesn't give me that problem at all. Their guarantee is great. So give them a try for 30 days. What can you lose ?

I couldn't recommend the Hoka One Bondi 5 any more highly. In addition to being a comfortable shoe, apparently it has some healing powers.
Like many runners I suffer from plantar fasciitis. The pain in my right heel area had gotten so bad that I thought that I might have to give up running outside.
I've owned many running shoes over the years but it wasn't until I bought the Bondi 5 about five months ago did the pain in the foot all but subside. The cushioning in the shoe - especially the heel support - is perfect for those who run on sidewalks and streets.
At first the shoe seemed a wee bit bulky but within a couple of days I came to appreciate the support. I run about 28 times a month so having a quality shoe is essential.
This was money well spent.

I just love this shoe. I have shoes from Saucony, Brooks, Asics, Zoot, K-Swiss and Reebok but this is without question the most comfortable shoe I've owned. The extra cushioning is very noticeable. Just a very comfortable shoe. One suggestion to a potential buyers - every time I have ever "sized up" based on the company's recommendation, it has never worked out. However, I would recommend that you size up one-half size. I initially ordered size 8 (have worn this sixe for more than 50 years) but they were too tight. Hoka was great to deal with and sent me 8 1/2 shoes withing two weeks. Perfect fit!
