I run 3 miles 4 times a week on a treadmill. I use to use the Cliftons, but the redesign made them uncomfortable. I bucked up the extra 50 bucks and got these. They are really comfortable and I have had no wear issues, I change them out once a year. Hope this helps.

Had substantial surgery on my Achilles several years ago and couldn't train frequently without significant pain in other shoes I have tried. My wife purchased a pair last year and loves them for walking. I purchased the Bondi 5 and started running in them a week ago. After running 4 of the last 5 days I am amazed at the lack of pain I am experiencing both during the run and after. Is it the most efficient running shoe - probably not with all that cushioning. Is it worth a little extra energy exertion to not be in pain - YES!

If you plan to run in these, please read this!
I previously had Asics Nimbus, and really, really wanted to like these as I had heard very good things. In fact, I liked them a lot when standing/walking a lot, and running on a treadmill. However, after road-running longer runs in them awhile, I have decided they are best as a walking shoe for me, not a running shoe. The cushioning is excellent, the midsole and ball area are fairly stiff, which protects the foot. The toe-box is generous. And the graded sole enables propulsion, like pushing off a pillow. However, if you prefer the feeling of pushing off from the ball of your foot and getting feedback from the road, you will not get it in this shoe--it is not designed to do that--it is too stiff and the sole is too thick.
The tongue is also fairly stiff and short, Also, I found my feet get hot while running, and these felt slightly heavy (they are about 2 ounces heavier than my previous shoe). Great shoe, just be aware of what it does best--walking and standing.
I'd also recommend:

I finally found these locally and was just really pleased with the fit and comfort. I had been having some forefoot pain recently and these shoes have helped a lot. I've only had them for a short time but I have really appreciated the cushioning and comfort. I'm really happy that I bought them.

I just received my Bondi 5s on Friday evening, and I was able to get two long runs in on both Saturday and Sunday with them. I really like them! After being dissatisfied with the Clifton 4 re-design, I was looking for something better to my taste, and the Bondi 5 is a really great shoe. It's so comfortable, and a pleasure to run in. They are a tad heavy, but honestly, it's not a big deal as I am very impressed with them, and I now see why they are so popular. I wish I had tried them sooner, but now I'm a fan.

This is a terrific shoe and the elevon is even better! Once you go Hoka you never go back! I'm 45 years old and run regularly though I'm not about to make it to the Olympics as an alternate. I run about 8 minute miles over long distances (half marathon) and these shoes are great at protecting my knees and feet from the pounding. I feel great afterward and I highly recommend these shoes.

Every shoe I've ever owned hurt my feet (I have had arch and heel pain for years). For a long time I work Brooks Beast shoes and they seemed to be a good choice. Over the last 6 months my feet have never felt better wearing these Hoka One One Bondis. Like walking on a cloud and I am enjoying running with no knee and heel pain! Yes the styling is a bit bulky but I will give up style for comfort and the ability to perform. These shoes have me thinking about a marathon!

So far I like these shoes. I haven't taken them on any road runs yet, but did use them on the treadmill and have walked in them a bit. The cushioning is great and overall the shoes are very comfortable. These feel slightly heavier than my Asics Nimbus 17s and based on the treadmill run I can tell they're better suited for slower and longer distances, compared to the Asics which I feel has a better balance for speed and distance. On that same note, the cushioning is far better on the Bondi shoes. I have noticed that the Bondis have a bit of a roll to them and are also a bit springy. I haven't adjusted to the roll yet, but I do like the spring when I'm going up stairs. If I were doing distance in these, at 225lbs I think I can comfortable run 7mph and 8 would be pushing it for long distance without readjusting to this shoes weight.

Daily work wear. 6 to 12 miles a day at work. Why not a plain white shoe?

My first pair of HOKA'S!
I like the cushioning and level of protection during long runs. I have experience running from 10K to marathon. And these are one of my favorite all time shoes due to the cushioning and protection.
I took them for a 20Km run, and an intervals training session. They performed great during the long run, and fine for the speed work out. Although for speed workouts a lighter shoe like the HOKA Tracer would be a better fit.

These are one of the most comfortable running shoes that I have ever owned. They fit true to form. The responsiveness of shoe walking or running is great. The cushion is plush it like walking or running on a cloud.
I love these shoes so much that I bought two more pairs one for work and one for when my others wear out.

I was introduce to Hoka One One when I started training for LA marathon 2017. I use to run in Nikes, however I was educated about how great Hoka One One are for long distance. I had the privilege to purchase the Hoka one clifton 4 and run 7 half marathons and 1 full marathon in them. I needed new shoes and learned about the Bondi line and my heart has melted into them. The support and light weight feel is epic and I have improved my time as well. The road to LAM 2018 AND SFM 2018 is on!!! THANK YOU !
