I have been using the Bondi line of running shoes for almost 2 years now, specifically the Bondi 4. They are very well cushioned, spacious toe box and I can buy them in wide cut. When the Bondi 5 came out, there were some negative reviews and I was hesitant to buy it, then I decided to give it a try. I can say I love this shoe. It continues to be a very good, well cushioned running shoe in the Bondi line from Hoka One One. I'll give some details based on an initial, a little over 11 miles run: 1. Design: it is a well put together shoe with a good look. The Bondi 4 in wide cut came in only one color, the wide Bondi 5 comes in 3, although the one dubbed "formula 1" (pictured), in my opinion, looks the best of the 3. 2. Fit: I wear the wide cut, and I have to say, the wide Bondi 5 is a touch smaller than the wide Bondi 4. Nevertheless it fit me very nicely and it felt comfortable, and, unlike the Bondi 4, I didn't feel any space for my toes to bounce around within the shoe. So bottom line, if you used the the Bondi 4 and it fit you just right, you might need to consider buying a size up of the Bondi 5. As I said, for me it fit fine and was very comfortable. 3. Cushioning: the cushioning is still amazing, and I may say a bit better than the Bondi 4. It totally feel like "walking on pillows" without the loss of any stability. 4. The shoe laces: there were some complaints with the Bondi 4 about the shoe laces being too short. The Bondi 5 shoe laces have enough length and can be tied easily. They are, however, flimsier than the Bondi 4 shoe laces, so I don't know if this will affect their sturdiness long term. 5 The toe box: the toe box is lower than that of the Bondi 4. By the middle of my run I felt the front of my foot being slightly squeezed, something I never felt with the Bondi 4. It wasn't that big of a deal, so far it is not bothering me, but I think next time I'll order the shoe one size up (i wear 9.5 EE, so next time I'll go with 10 EE instead).

This is the best shoe I've ever had. I have some arch problems and this shoe provides so much support and a soft ride that really helps my feet.

These shoes are super cushiony. I'm a big guy 275lbs and I have size 15 feet, which is hard to find. So they are the perfect shoe for a big guy. Also, I walk a ton, and these shoes provide the cushion, support and comfort I need to keep my feet and knees happy when I walk. Honestly, couldn't be happier.

Ordered the Bondi 5 from a local retailer. After an extended delivery time the shoe feels amazing, the comfort is incredible. My only complaint is that the tongue moves from side to side far too much and it's creating friction. I use the Feetures Plantar Fasciitis socks which are thin, but after maybe 2 miles in that pesky tongue becomes an issue. If they fix this issue this show would be amazing.

Overall good shoe !! A little loose in the toe box for me and laces are a bit too elastic. Great cushioning.

These are very comfortable running shoes and have really helped with my comfort while training. I can run further and faster with less knee and back discomfort- nice!

Extremely comfortable as described. Buy this if you are looking for a very comfortable running shoe that makes your feet feel like you're on pillows.

I am a traveling nurse , and I am on my feet for 16 hours at a time! When I heard about these shoes I was reluctant because I have tried so many expensive shoes with no real result. Well after I received my Hoka one one and put them on I was convinced!! I will never buy another pair of shoes if they're not HOKA Keep up the great work!!

I have worked myself through several different styles of Hoka shoes over the past several years. This is my first Hoka Bondi. I have survived those constantly breaking speed laces from prior shoe styles as well as the short life of the tops and treads. Out of the box I was pretty impressed with the snug fit of the shoe. I also liked the fact that the shoe strings were the proper length for lacing up. The Tongue of the shoe has a shell on the top third of the outer tongue which makes tightening the laces uniformly easy without pinching or digging into the tongue. This feature added something to the overall stability of the shoe and made for a more comfortable fit on the top of the foot. So far I am liking this shoe better than others styles I have worn.

I'm a big fan of Hoka shoes. I wanted a show that had a lot of cushion because my repaired acl was giving me grief (knee area). These shoes fit the bill. I'm Not as fast as I once was... so a ten minute mile pace for six miles is about my speed. While I can run six in 8:50, I'm very sore the next few days. These shoes are like A big car on the highway; they aren't built for speed or performance...but rather a smith, soft ride.
