Pros: Very comfortable, break-in period was 1-2 hours. Room in toe box is generous. Cons: Flimsy laces. Too many Hoka logos. Treads have too many crevices that trap debris. Dislike the reflective material.

Very comfortable. Like running on a pillow. A little tight in the toe area, however.

I have owned the Bondi 5 for about three months and purchased it while recovering from a severe plantar strain. The shoe felt great while recovering from the plantar strain, but it is too cushioned and with too loose a support for regular walking or hiking. The good news is that the all black pair is perfect for wearing with casual and even dress wear for the office and an evening out. The Bondi 5 is a great all day shoe, and my feet are never tired at the end of the day. I have two other pair of Hokas (Conquest 3 and Stenson ATR) I wear to the gym and for my daily long walking routine and hiking.

I liked Hokas back in the day for a well-cushioned long run shoe. Unfortunately in recent years Hoka has only built shoes that can work for people with very narrow feet. I am very happy that Hoka now offers the Bondi in a wide version! I've run in these a few times and find them very comfortable and very nicely plush, just like I remember Hokas being. NOW, please build a wide-size trail shoe.

I was turned on to these by my Orthopede. I like the shoe, it is very comfortable. I do wish it had more arch support

I run five times a week on dirt roads or treadmill. 50 yrs old and 200+ pounds. These shoes keep me able to run without injuries to my joints and also avoid lower back pain.

I am a former college middle-distance track and XC athlete and have ran my entire life. I recently underwent total hip-replacement surgery just a year ago after an unfortunate cycling accident. I am in my mid 40's, coach track/XC and field and still compete at the Masters level now. I actually thought i would never be able to run again. I've dealt with Achilles tendonosis over the years like many and it got worse with my recent complications. I found a pair of Hokas in my local running shop and test drove them. I ran 2 miles - and waited for the inevitable pain and nothing. The next day, I ran 3 miles and was fine again. Still not convinced, I gradually increased my mileage over a few weeks. 6 weeks later, I just did an 8 miler and my body feels great. It's my birthday in a few days and I am asking my family to consider getting me another pair of Hokas so I can continue to enjoy running which is so much a part of my life. Thanks.

I love running and the bondi 4, 5 give you a nice support with a soft landing that's easy on my knees, lower back and hips. I'll never buy another brand of running shoes!

I use it as an everyday training shoe. The cushioning has done wonders for my knees and back.

Started wearing Hoka a couple of years back with the Stinson ATR. Finished my first 5K, 10K, 15K, and Half-Marathon in them. Sizing of their shoes is different from one model to the next, this year the Bondi seems slightly narrow and small relative to previous years.

I USED to run, but 15 years ago, when I got out of the Army I swore, I would never run again, unless I was running away from something. Two years ago, I decided I had gotten fat enough, so started trying to watch what I eat and exercise. I tried running, but the extra weight meant that my knees could not take it. I bought a bike instead. A friend suggested I try these. Wow! I have been jogging for three weeks now, completely pain free! I highly recommend them! The only issue is the standard insole is lacking. I highly recommend getting something else to replace the insole.

I originally bought the BONDI 5 regular and they were way too small. I returned them for the extra wide version and they are much better. Ran 10 miles in them yesterday for the first time and had no blisters. I would recommend them to friends and family but they do run small.

I was very pleased with the comfort of these shoes and they did feel true to size and width. My main issues are they look extremely wide and bulky, almost like some kind of elevator shoe where it looks like you are trying to be taller. That issue aside, they were very soft and cushioned and made my foot pain go away that I was getting from my Nike and Brooks running shoes. Bottomline is if you want cushion and comfort over style you will really enjoy these.

This is my first pair of Hokas. Very stable and cushioned. But, they squeeze my forefoot. I've worn them for two 5 mile runs and that's the only issue.

I am a walker and had surgery on both feet and needed a soft/cushion shoe I bought the Bondi 4, they are great shoe's! but they wear out fast and I can't walk every day like I was because I am still healing from the last surgery, I exchanged them for a pair of Bondi 5 and they seem to be a little firmer and they feel narrow/tight on top because of the cut of the shoe but very nice shoe. I could use a 4E for more comfort

This is my second plunge into the world of Hoka. I tried the Vanquish 2, but found it too narrow. This is the only model offered in a EE width. Very cushy ride, and the increased size of the toe box with the added width feels fantastic. I am a bit dumbfounded why they don't offer all 4 color schemes in all sizes; I was informed by a Zappos representative that the Red Orange Fusion model is not available in a EE width. If it was, the "style" rating would have been higher.

this is a great shoe with the exception of the tongue being bot long enough. it goes straight back and jams into the the top / font of your foot.

Really good shoe as far cushioning. I walk 15 to 20 miles a week and have had back surgery withing the last 4 months. They do not feel as cushioned as Hoka's I have tried on in the past. They do feel softer than the Brookes or Asics I have been wearing. It appears as though the bottoms are wearing quickly from the asphalt path I normally walk on. Not so much though that it stopped me from ordering a second pair. That should speak enough as to my opinion of these shoes.
