Shoes have a thick cushion that helps with ground concussion. To me shoes felt slighter wider than Asics models I have had in past and I did order half size wider. Overall positive impression.

I agree that when I first put these on, they seemed stiff, but after some wear in time, I got used to them, and I like them. I have higher arches, and these doesn't quite work for my arches as perfectly as I'd like, but I'll see after they break in some more. I might need different insoles, like i put in other shoes. I would like to see some more colorful and interesting styles in Wide, which is what I wear. I feel like I'm sort of stuck with such limited wide choices, which is why I deducted one star.

The shoe feels stiff at the start but has broken in nicely for me. I like it way more than previous iterations and will continue to rack up the miles in them. My only knock is that the tongue is stiff and can put pressure on part of my ankle if the laces are tied too tight.

I loved the original Bondi and Bondi 2. I never tried the Bondi 3, and absolutely hated the Bondi 4. The 4 had way too much of a heel bevel on it, which for me is problematic as I am a fairly heavy heel striker. The 5 has addressed this issue nicely, as well as vastly improved the overall fit and performance- it no longer feels a bit narrow on my average width foot. As usual, the cushioning and comfort are perfect for all of my road running, regardless of time or distance.

It is unfortunate that Hoka will not make additional colors and models available in a wide. Apparently people with wide feet prefer only Grey and Black shoes. This is a great shoe and I began with the 4 the moment Hoka introduced a wide option bit it too had only select colors available. I do highly recommend the shoe and have worn it on runs longer than 50 miles without issue. It seems to be holding up to non-technical trail runs with limited signs of wear

Hoka, these look much better than the 4's but the colors are bad. Please offer the clifton's in wide in multiple colors. I am sure you will see more heavier runners buy them. You own this market. I hate having a wide foot as I can't enjoy all of ur shoes, just the bondi. Please help!!!!!!! Can't give 5 stars due to the colors.

Used for walking but not nearly as plush as other Bondi walking shoes that I've owned before.

I have had a Bondi 6 for the past few months and they are by far the most comfortable sneakers I've ever worn. I saw the Bondi 5 on sale so I decided to buy them. The 5 (although it has the same description; neutral/plus as the 6) does not feel anything at all like the 6. It's disappointing since I based the purchase on the description in the website. Customer service was great. They were willing to honor a 20% discount for my next purchase.

I bought these because I was told by my physical therapist I was a supinator. The outside heel portions of my Nike Pegasus shoes were completely compacted and squished down due to my supination. It's too soon to tell if these will hold up against my outside heavy heel strikes.

Bought these as my second pair of Hoka shoes in June 2018. I have loved these shoes for their ample support and cushion. I have lower back and feet problems, both of which these shoes have helped during my high-impact aerobics workouts. However, the glueing of the tread on these shoes has worn incredibly quickly. I did not have to glue my previous pair of Hoka shoes (Clifton 4) at all. I had to reglue the treads of my new pair, the Bondi 5, with shoe glue three times now. I only wear these shoes when doing aerobics, so it has been disappointing for a product I love so much to wear so quickly.

This shoe has the most cushioning of any shoe I have seen. I wish they made this in a 4 E. 2E is just not wide enough for me.

First pair Sept 2017. Just simply awesome. I'm not a runner, just have flat feet that stand/walk all day. Soles held up until the end. 3-4 month of daily use. Compared to others I've had the ware rate on entire sole is great. Never had a sole bottom take punishment like these.
Second pair Dec 2017. Holding up great. These are gym shoes and never see dirt/pavement.
Third pair also Dec 2017 as new daily shoes. This is when something seems to have changed. Didn't feel a soft as first pair. 30-45 days in I noticed the sole (triangle shaped in rear) was coming off. When I stopped using them 5/18, that rear corner is barly hanging on.
Fourth pair June 2018. Heard there was a manufacturing change & possible reason for third pair issues. I was wrong. 8 days of use -- same triangle rear area of sole is coming off. Ive tried to blame it on something I'm doing at work. After paying attention to every motion my feet make at work. There isn't anything that would add wear to this area. No backward foot dragging.

These are great comfortable sneakers, probably the most comfortable I have ever worn. But they are too expensive to have the sole fall off three months after purchase. I have had two or three pair and it has happened to all of them. I was told it was because the sole was so thick and the adhesive couldn't work right. I really want them to resolve this issue because I love these shoes.

Bondi 5 feel very plush and comfortable except for the sizing. Get at least a 1/2 size longer and probably the wider size if you typically get a medium. I read many reviews they run small. I can confirm they do. The flexible side pushes against the foot and rubs tight on the outside of my foot. I usually take a medium width but in these a wide width is needed. Do yourself a favor and go large if any question at all. Not sure why with all the review they do not make them true to size.

I had to return the Bundi 5's because the hurt my ankles. I sent them back for an exchange for a pair of Gaviota's.Unfortuately you were out of stock in the size I ordered and was given a refund. Not to fear, I ordered a half size larger online and I am due to receive them tomorrow.

I have bought Biondi - 5's before and the cushioning was much better/softer . Have you changed this?. I'm disappointed as this is the ONLY reason I buy these shoes.

I love the bondi 5, I wear the 11.5 wide and it is the most comfortable shoe I ever owned. I went trail hiking in hawaii on volcanic rock and tore up my first pair so I bought a second pair after about 8 months. My second pair quickly began having the tread fall off the bottom and right heel developed a squeak as I put weight on it. I have initiated a warranty replacement and very quickly Hoka issued me full credit to buy a new pair, which is in the mail now. My only complaint is the durability but am hoping this pair's tread will stay on properly.. if not I will warranty replace and try another shoe, but limited wide shoes available from Hoka One One.

I work 12-hour shifts at a local hospital and so I've always been after the most comfortable shoes I can find. I thought I had found THE shoes that I would always buy and wear for this purpose when I found Hoka One One, I bought mine from a local retail distributor, had my feet measured and fitted, placed the orthotics I get from my foot doctor in the shoes and I was in heaven!
Just after I bought the shoes for work, we just so happened to have a trip to New York City scheduled and, well it's New York City so you're walking a lot whether it's to get from one place to the next, catch the next subway train, or whatever. Truth is, though, that New Yorkers do a lot of walking and when you're vacationing there, you do too. So...I put several miles on these shoes in New York City and they felt great. I returned to work and am still using them, however, the durability has been less than impressive for what I paid for these shoes. Less than six months after purchasing the shoes the rubber soles started separating from the foam cushioning. Not being able to afford to put out the money for another pair of shoes that I thought would give me at LEAST a year of good service, I resorted to using Amazing GOOP Plumbers glue as an adhesive to repair the areas that we coming apart. Unsure of whether or not this would work because sometimes these glues have ingredients in them that cause problems like this to get worse, but having little choice, I went with it and fortunately, it paid off and bought me a little more mileage from the shoes. The repairs are holding but after work last night I noticed that the shoes are coming apart in different areas.
So I'm happy with the comfort and disappointed in the durability, and not sure if I'll give them another try. I might buy one more pair and if they do the same thing, I will have to move on to another shoe brand. I just can't afford to buy new shoes once every few months when they're as expensive as these.

I'm a BONDI runner now for 5 years...My favorite model so far is the BONDI 3 with the "quick" laces...Regarding the "standard D-width shoe, the new BONDI 5 is a definite drop in quality and comfort. It's still tops on cushioning compared to other shoes brands but is shorter, narrower, tighter around the foot (especially ankle), and more stiff than the previous BONDI models...HOKA needs to do TWO things concerning the BONDI: 1. Go back to the BONDI 3 model,... 2. Go back to the "quick laces".....HOKA "made a reputation" on cushion and comfort. They need to obtain that reputation again !!!

I had the Bondi 3s and loved them. Trained and completed my first ironman in them. Upgraded to the Bondi 5s and noticed the arch was very pronounced. I took the original insoles out and had to replace with much flatter insoles and although it helped, it didn't fully solve the problem so had to return them.

The fat pads of my forefeet are pretty much gone. I thought this shoe would be helpful because it has a metatarsal rocker which would reduce pressure on my forefeet. But I did not fully understand the implications of the rear sole beng much thicker than is the front sole.
This results in pressure constantly being applied to the forefoot. In my case, this means that I felt like I was always walking on pebbles (really my forefoot bones). So I am returning this good looking, well crafted shoe.

The shoe fills true to size length-wise, but for some reason my heel moves up and down when I walk. It is supposed to be EE but feels very narrow. Returning.

As a nurse, I where these for mostly standing stationary and some walking. Cushion cannnot be considered plush. My last Hoka shoes were plush. The cushion of these is just okay.
