Love Hoka running shoes but have purchased only the Clifton running shoes in the past. I gave in and purchased the M VANQUISH 3 and dislike them totally. They are so stiff and not as comfortable as the Clifton running shoes.

Overall the cushion of the shoe was nice but the toe box is extremely uncomfortable. The upper is so stiff it made my toes go numb while running and gave me blisters.

I have worn these vanquish on 3-4 runs and the soles are literally wasting away? It appears that the cushioning is the "sole" of the shoe too. I supernate and they look like I've put 250-300 miles on them. Very cushioned but not mushy! Tongue is way too short. I ordered my daughter abpairbof Clifton 4's a few weeks ago. She is in college so I called her,"how do you like the"? She tells me they make her TOES GO NUMB. I was baffled these Vanquish do the same to me!! I've loosened the laces, changes socks on all 3 or 4 of my runs. I have plenty of toe room, they feel very narrow and I have never worn a "wide" shoe in my life! Don't like them. Funky fit!

The 2018 version was changed to a much less cushioned sole. Extremely disappointing!! I loved and needed the 2017 version for working 40 hrs a week on concrete.

What a nice surprise to receicve a soiled pair of broken in shoes right out of the box. Uggh. I'm sure they are nice shoes and it seems someone enjoyed this pair a bit before sending them back.

Worst update ever! I am addicted to Hokas and have owned over 20 pairs in the last few years. My favorite of all was the Vanquish 2 which was an awesome shoe and one for the top 4 shoes on the market last year. So what did Hoka do... changed it. And changed it for the worse. The Vanquish 2 had optimal cushioning, decent support, and awesome rocker. After using two different pairs of the new version (Vanquish 3) for 15 and 20 miles respectively, it seems Hoka has removed a ton of cushioning and eliminated the rocker all together. The new version is SUPER narrow and long, almost a half size too long, but a half size too narrow. It's so "long" that is slaps the ground on foot-strike even for a mid-foot striker like me. I am VERY disappointed with this update and I'm now finding all of the version 2 online as I can. Why not just keep one of the best selling road shoes the same?!?

I've been wearing Hoka's for about 3 years and am on my 12'th or 13'th pair. I've championed them with my running group and all nine members all wear them now. I'm sad to discover that all of the new "updates" to existing models seem to be much less squishy and shock absorbing than the shoes they've replaced. I tried the Vanquish 3 in hopes that maybe this model hasn't also been updated for the worse and sadly it doesn't work for me either. The instep is super tight with my orthotics in place even with thin shocks. Gone is Hoka's signature shock absorption too. These are hard as stone they hurt just walking in them. I'm sending them back without even running in them. I really hope that Decker brands starts listening to there customers and returns at least some of the Hoka line to the original super soft foam that we all fell in love with. I'm starting to try other brands and am just about done with Hoka One One, "time to fly, AWAY!"
