Most comfortable athletic shoes I own! After rupturing my plantar fascia on my left foot, these shoes are the ones that I will always wear! The cushioning is the best! My feet do not hurt at all when I wear these.

I have mild hammer toes. For years I have spent a lot of money on tennis shoes to get a comfortable pair that would allow me to walk a long distance. I spotted a lady walking down the street and ask her what brand of tennis she had on..didnt take long before I purchased my first pair of Hoka One One. Purchased the Gaviota dynamic stabilizer next go round. It is time for another pair. I have lost 15lbs by walking an hour a day.. My feet has never ever gotten tire. I could walk for hours if my schedule would allow. Extremely comfortable for being on my feet as a caregiver and housekeeper all day too.

I really wanted to love them. And I did LOVE all the cushion. I need a stability shoe for pronation and this seemed like the right option, however after wearing for 30-40 minutes on a walk/run I noticed the balls of my feet were numb. I made some lacing adjustments and it still happened. After 2 weeks of trying to make them work I gave up and sent them back. Disappointed that it didn't work out.

These are the best shoes I have ever owned. I have had some hip problems, and these were the only shoes that didn't cause me pain before surgery. Now after recovery my second pair are a dream to run in!

I went to the doctor for plantar fasciitis, the podiatrist told me about the importance of a choosing the right shoe. The toe area should not be able to pushed up with two fingers. I have worn Asics Kayano and most for 15 years, I even tried their $250 shoe Meta Run, I was not happy with the sloppiness of either of them. I noticed the podiatrist was wearing Hoka's. I thought well the are ugly colors but they look sturdy. So I went to the store and tried the most stable shoe they had. The second I put my foot in the Gaviota I knew I would never own another pair of Asics. I still wear the plastic orthodic under the liner for proper arch support but the base of the shoe is unlike anything I have ever had on my feet. I am a wedding photographer and on my feet 12 plus hours a wedding day and would love to be able to wear women's solid black Gaviota's but they don't make them. My only complaint would be the color selection. Some of us would like to use these professionally and not look like you are wearing a highlighter on your feet. Other than that, seriously, the most amazing shoe ever. I am so happy to have found these and when I saw my podiatrist I thanked him for modeling amazing footwear to his patients! He recommends them frequently he said. I can certainly see why. Take care of you feet, knees, hips, back by putting a solid stable shoe under you. You can't go wrong with the Gaviota!

I bought these on a doctor's recommendation--and I love them! I wear (large) orthotics, but they do fit in a regular size (NB I have pretty narrow feet). I have horrible foot problems--pronation, flat arches, etc. I had previously been wearing my orthotics with Brooks Ariel (the F of Brooks Beast), which my orthotist recommended, but as soon as I put these on, my feet felt better. As a side benefit, they looked better, too! I am extremely happy with these.

I have ball of foot issues. Tried these for about 3 weeks for daily walking. Really liked the support offered throughout the sole of this shoe especially in the heel. I have narrow feet & felt toe box kind of tight & shoe not very breathable. Have tried Bondi 5 and Clifton and prefer these. Returning for wide.

I have tiny feet and these made my feet look massive! They are just plain goofy in how they look. Felt like I had a platypus on my feet. Hoka One One you are failing me! I thought they were mens shoes when I opened the box. Hoka use to be my go-to always and now they have discontinued the shoes (Constant 2's) that fit and didn't look like I was wearing refrigerator boxes on my feet. Immediately went back.

The finish is not as nice as it used to be. Sole meets upper with less than a clean line on my second pair.

These are great for pronators. Probably my favorite sneaker ever. I do wear orthodics with them so order a 1/2 size up. I run 5ks regularly and wear them constantly at work when I am on my feet all day. Love Hokas in general and recommend them to everyone.

The fit was great! I’m an overpronator. This shoe did exactly what it said it would and stabilized my foot but my feet would hurt. The cushion is not great as the Bondi (I knew it wouldn’t be) I couldn’t run more than 2 miles before I had to stop from the pain. The colors and style are the best compared to the Bondi. If I had more time and patience, I’m sure I would have adjusted fine and I would have loved the shoe.

Love this HOKA model! I run in this model (Gaviota) and also the HOKA Bondi 6. The Bondi has more cushion and the Gaviota has more stability. But it still has good cushion to it! I run 5 to 8 miles, five days a week, and alternate days between the two models. I have run in every brand out there and HOKA is by far the very best. No injuries since using HOKAs and it's been over 5 years!

Product was not as expected. I thought this would well to support my arches but they are very low and I didn't want to have to add additional support.

These are my fist Hoka sneakers. I have 3 pairs of the flip flops and love them. So far I'm on the fence with the sneakers. Left foot fits great right foot loose. I wLked 1.5 miles and my feet got really hot. That's not good at all. I want to love these so I'm going to try again and if this continues I won't be able to keep them.

I'm just devastated that Hoka has become so unrealiable. After FOUR YEARS of recovering from tendinitis, I discovered Hoka Infinites and could finally run again. 5ks and my favorite, half-marathons, were possible again. I ran them in my Infinities with no problems, and went through two pairs in the past few years. Well, even good shoes come to an end, my poor Inifinites are at the end of their life. So, I was devastated to find Hoka no longer makes them. My local running store recommend Bondis. I took them home and guess what? My tendinitis came back within two week - my ankle was in agony! So I took those back, called Hoka, and they recommend the Gaviotas. I decided to embrace change and try them. I did, and they are not worth my time. The biggest problem is that even though they are the same size as my Infinities, 8s, they fit much tighter in the toebox - as though the toebox is now tighter and shorter than previous models. My toes do swell and feel tight n my shoes after long runs and/or on hot days, but not as soon as I put them on! But with the Gaviotas, that is exactly what happened. Hoka, it was fun while it lasted. If you ever bring the previous Infinite model back, give me a call. Otherwise, best of luck.

These are okay, but definitely not perfect. Wish they were. For me, they need more cushioning like the old Arahi's. This was the closest I could find, but there aren't many choices in wides and very few stable fits. My feet do hurt, not while walking, but after I sit down. In the original Arahi's that didn't happen, at all.

I really like the soft cushion. I can walk around all day and my feet won't hurt it really helps a lot. I had tried the Bondi, and that is more cloudlike, but I need stability and shoes for overpronation. The heels are a bit loose, but the cushy soles make up for it. I also tried the Arahi, but those soles are way too hard.

I love Hoka shoes, and this one has the usual incredibly comfortable sole. But like another reviewer, they made my toes numb. I wore them around the house for about 30 minutes and felt like the circulation was getting cut off to my toes. I think it's because the front area of the shoe is more rigid than most running shoes. They didn't really feel too small, and I got the usual size I get in Hokas, but something's wrong, at least for me. Cute shoes, too, so I was disappointed. If you really want these shoes, I'd order half a size up. I didn't want to try that, though, so I got the ordinary fantastic Zappos' customer service on my return and received the refund almost within hours of sending them back.

Unfortunately Hoka changed the material used for the upper part of the shoe which resulted in making the B width smaller and way too tight. I wish they wouldn't reinvent a sure thing. My last year's pair is a 9.5 B and they fit great but need replacing.

I must say that these sneakers are very comfortable but they made my feet go numb. For this reason I returned them. I suggest walking around on a carpeted surface (in case you need to return them), to see if they do the same to you.

First off, I'm not a runner but would call myself a trotter (walk/run depending on my mood) and I'm on my feet a lot. After reading review after review and show specs after shoe specs, I purchased the Hoka One One Gaviota in the Marlin/Dress Blue. LOVE the color! The shoe fit like a glove. I wear a 9 and sometimes a 9.5 in casual shoes but always a 9.5 in running/athletic shoes. I've never bought a wide shoe however some dress shoes a wide works best. These shoes wear responsive and cushiony, just what I needed. Length was prefect. However, after wearing them only minutes in the house my toes felt tingly. I adjusted the laces and even left the loose then untied; still tingly. The first lace hole opening area (whatever you call it) located on/near the big toe pressed a weird spot and THAT pressure point caused my toes to tingle and go numb. Bummer. The toe box wasn't as roomy as expected or as roomy as my other go-to shoes (Salamon and Saucony in regular width). I would really like to try this same show in this same color in a 9.5wide but it's out of stock everywhere. That's usually my luck. Returning and going back to the drawing board.
I'd also recommend:
Salamon, Saucony
