I normally wear the Arahi amd the Arahi 2, I thought I would try this one instead, but could tell with in 30 minutes there was’t the support that the Arahi provides. I love the color of this shoe, wish Hoka would make some of the Arahi shoes in the bright colors.
I'd also recommend:
Arahi 1 and Arahi 2.

I have an older pair of Hoka sneakers which I love, but I love these much more because they feel like they have even more support all around. Arch support very good, which is important to me. I used to use Nikes and Adidas and lots of other sneakers --always top-line ones--and I think this sneaker is hands-down my absolute favorite ever. One thing--the sole is not super flexible, so keep that in mind. I like the firm support of the sole and everywhere else, it gives me great stability in exercise classes, walking, working out in the gym, etc.

Have been loyal Ravenna shoe wearer for years until my feet started getting screwy and I needed orthodics and a wider shoe box. Tried the newest Ravenna but the orthodics made my heel sit up too high which made my foot slip out slightly with every step and the padding under the shoe was not sufficient any more for my 'problem feet'. Have been searching long and hard and went through several brands and styles before I came across the Hoka. But since I needed a stability shoe and a style that offered a wide shoe box PLUS good cushioning under the ball of the foot I ended up buying these and I love them so far. Have not used them for running on asphalt yet but just in gym classes where the ball of the foot takes a lot of pressure (doing lunges, planks etc.) and have been pain free so far! Like the color (got the dark blue) and they don't look too 'clunky' compared to other athletic shoes. Thank you Zappos for being so patient with me as I certainly have pushed the limits with all my returns...….

I was a Muzino fan for years. Now I am a definitely a Hoka One fan. It is important to pay attention to the shoe description and customer reviews to make sure you are getting the right Hoka shoe/fit for you. This is my 4th style of and once again I am thrilled with the fit. This shoe fits me better than all the other styles. The heel width fits greats and provides support the entire length of the shoe. More importantly is the customer service Zappos provides. THEY HAVE BEEN WONDERFUL. Every time I contact them I get an immediate positive response. When shopping online it is so important. Thank you Zappos!

These cane highly recommended by my ankle surgeon (reinforced Brostrom procedure) - I agree with her! They feel like walking on a cloud. My physical therapists tried them on and it was a consensus that these were the most comfortable shoes they had tried in a long time. You won’t be disappointed.

The length and width were true to size. I only wish more colors were available in my size. It is very difficult to find a good selection of colors in a women's 8 medium shoe in this style of Hoka One One.

The length and width were true to size. I only wish more colors were available in my size. It is very difficult to find a women's 8 medium shoe in the more popular brilliant colors.

I really wanted to love this shoe! I've been wearing the Arahi for several months & love it. I put these on & thought they felt great, but after about 30 min. walking around in them, the bunion on my left foot was aching. So I waited a couple of days & did the same thing with the same results. So sadly, I had to return. It kind of doesn't make sense to me - if you look at the Arahi, the Gaviota looks wider. I've also worn the Clifton & their hiking boots & love them.
I'd also recommend:
Hoke One One - I've loved every other shoe of theirs!

Because of the reviews that I've read, I ordered the Hoka One Gaviota. I feel that the shoe does not have enough arch support, it's tight around the toes and ankle. I wore it at work for a 12-hour shift and I developed a blister on top of my Left Great Toe. I am returning and will not buy this particular shoe. Thank you.

I've been looking for shoes for my overpronating feet for over a year, and I finally bought Hokas. The other styles looked like they'd be too, too big. I'm a 6.5 and bought a 7, b/c: running shoe. Even with a half size larger, I'm happy with the way they feel and look. They're comfortable as heck and the blue/grey combo doesn't scream "clown shoe!" Thanks, Zappos, for your awesome customer service and returns policy. I've finally found a pair of shoes I can keep!

I bought the Hoka Graviota for the second time. They feel like walking on clouds. They are so comfortable it's hard to believe. I thinki have finally found the best pair of shoes for work; I have tried several other brands and nursing shoes and these shoes do not leave my feet in pain at the end of the day. I work on my feet all day and walka lot as a nurse and I love these shoes. I normally wear a 7 in tennis shoes and these fit great.

The medium width Gaviota runs narrow, which is fine for me. These shoes have the best support, fit and comfort of any road shoe I've ever owned. It's especially good for over-pronators. I have these shoes in two different colors, size 10.5 I'm glad I bought them when I did (fall 2018), because the Gaviota in that size is really hard to find now, even when ordered direct from the company. I also love the contrasting laces that set off the designs, and I hope one can get replacements, if needed, from the company or somewhere else. Great shoes!

20 years as a restaurant server. 4 years as a serious snowboarder. 8 years as a hospital nurse. 1 hip surgery.... to many knee injuries to list. I've done Danskos, New Balance.... just about everything. My physical therapist recommended the brand to me, and I've been HOoKaed ever since. I've tried two other versions and the Gaviota is the one for me. I just ordered a new pair to wear at home. At this stage in life, my knees and hips demand that I walk on clouds. I need the cushion. Thanks Hoka One!

Oh no, how can a hoka shoe be this bad?!?! Where are the shoe quality and subsistence that they are known for?!!! I wear a 6 in regular shoes and a 7 in running to have that extra room at the end. However, in hoka, I have had to order a 6. So in this pair, I ordered 6...wow! My toe was at the very end and you could literally see my foot bulging through the material!!! So tight! What is going on? And in regards to arch support, yeah, they are stability shoes but specifically inside the shoe itself, I did not feel support under my arch. Ugh. And unfortunately, I think this is the only shoe hoka has now for overpronation! Hoka...where are your shoes that allow toes to wiggle as they should and have arch support and cushion for our feet that take a pounding and even just weight everyday?!?! So so disappointed. Why do y’all change or get rid of shoes that “aren’t broken”? Also, the shoe shape...ugh. I love hoka and so I am fully aware of the thick heal and all. But this shoe, wow, well it’s even hard to describe...basically putting on large blocks as far as shape. Would not recommend, ever

Love these sneakers for casual road running & jogging. Super cushy and look great too. They also support my ankles, which is an extra plus. The fit pretty true to size, I'm an 8 but tend to size up 1/2 in running sneakers, but my 8s actually fit well. Thanks Hoka!

I'm a big person with bony flat feet. This shoe has the stability, balance and cushion I need in a shoe. I walk a lot, jog some and cross fit some. This shoe works for me in all areas. I hope Hoka will continue to carry a shoe for those of us who have problem feet.

This was my first pair of Hoka's. I ordered up a full size because I wear orthotics and I've found that typically I also need the extra width of a bigger shoe (fallen arches and Morton's Neuromas). Unfortunately, they were too long and not wide enough. The Marlin Blue color wasn't very pretty either. I found a pair of Brooks in a wide with that work. Love Zappos easy returns. Thank you!
