I have worn the Bondi style for several years. Was looking for something different for wearing around the house but same comfort as my Bondi...no comparison, sent them back.

my Dr. recommended this shoe which I purchased but then the shoe was too narrow, spoke to a Hoka representative and they said they would send the shoe in a wide, didn't happen.

Extremely uncomfortable from the very first step. Felt as if there was a bar pressing down on the top of my foot when I walked.

Material is not as flexible as it appears in pictures. Too tight on feet and material does not give.

This is the only brand of shoe a nurse should buy. However, I will purchase in store as the customer service is extremely poor via this site.

Don't purchase. After worn a couple of times very thin back and sides. Severe blisters both heels and ball of foot. Not comfortable at all.

These shoes were recommended to me to help with Achilles tendonitis but they did not seem to help at all. I returned them.

I bought these to go to Europe, lots of walking, wanted basic black to go wth travel clothes. I even choose a size bigger to account for foot swelling. They are too narrow on sides and on top. They are light.

Very stiff with no cushion. Painful near the joint of the big toe. I was really hoping these would be a good shoe for me.

I bought these shoes because my foot doctor recommended them. The shoes were not accommodating enough to put my foot and orthodics in even after i took out the hoka insoles.

I had to return these shoes as I found the front too long for my foot - it was way over my instep.

The Hoka One One Arahi was very comfortable and provided solid support. I have a neuropathy, so finding a tennis shoe that isn't painful is a big challenge. The Hoka One One Arahi met and exceeded the challenge. I find most of their color palettes hokey, but this one was a lesser evil. Primary reason for returning this item is that it came doused in what smelled like essential oils. The stench emanating from the box and shoes gave me a headache and they are being shipped back. Comically, the box was crushed but "repaired" by a single piece of scotch tape. I think the quality control person was asleep when they repackaged this one. Up until this purchase, I have had good experience with Zappos, so I'll give them another try. This was the only Arahi that was in a reasonable color combo, and this was the only pair in my size, so I have to give up on the Arahi. However! I'll probably order a different model in the future.

They were recommended to me by an Orthopedic specialist. The first week and a half the shoes were ok. Then both my feet started hurting. After 2 weeks of wearing them every day, as instructed, I could hardly walk and had severe pain in my right heel. It was my left foot that hurt when I purchased the shoes!

I used to wear the original Hoka One before the company was bought out. The original is a superior product in every way compared to the way they changed the shoe. These new shoes run one full size smaller then the originals. The foam out sole and insole are reduced. The laces also have been changed. The originals were rounded laces connected together you could pull tight and it locked. I tried another pair in a size up and the shoes quality has gone down so badly that they have insole defects and prevented me from actually running or walking in them. The company that bought this brand should go back to the way the originals were made instead of making some fake version that looks like the original but it's just a mirage.

What is going on with Hoka???? Has been my go to shoe for 4 years - got me through plantar fasciitis, tarsal tunnel syndrome, achilles tendon problems, flat arches, and just plain old achy arthritic feet. These shoes were amazing - I was literally running in circles around my friends with similar problems proclaiming their attributes - NO MORE!!!!! They seem to be a different brand all together - they don't fit with or without orthotic inserts, thin or NO socks. I even got desperate and tried a men's wide (just to be clear - I normally wear a woman's medium width with the laces as tight as they will go because I have extremely thin feet) in a 1/2 size too large and they were so constricting that my feet went numb just SITTING with them on - heaven forbid I actually try to walk in them! It finally dawned on me after trying 9 different size/width combinations in women's and men's sizes that the problem is not the width of the shoe - it is depth (from the top of the shoe to the floor) - no matter how much you open the shoe laces it cannot be opened fully because the shoe is built too shallow and the tongue is sewn into top of shoe - no room! The toe box is so shallow that the end of my big toe looked like it was trying to "burst" through the top of the shoe. I am so disappointed that this brand has "sold out" - used to give you 2 insoles, 2 sets of shoestrings, and 1 a set of lock laces - now, 1 insole and 1 set of shoestrings. This is not a cheap brand - but they appear to only be looking at the bottom line at this point - well if they like zeros they are doing a bang up job of accomplishing their goal!! I will no longer be contributing to their income!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Hoka brand was recommended by my foot doctor. When I got them, I felt imbalanced and rocked back and forth. I didn't feel stable and confident. I have only worn them a few times and wish I would have bought a running shoe.

I relied on the picture of this shoe when I placed my order. The colors are completely different than what is shown on the zapoos ad. Not pink and gray but rather fuchsia with aqua. Even lettering on shoe is in a different place on shoe. I was drawn to the soft pink or lavender. Did not want another black with fuschia colored shoe.
I'd also recommend:

Not a comfortable shoe. This was my 12th pair of various Hoka shoes. These were the worst. Toe box is too narrow and cushioning was non existent.

I had heard raves about Hoka shoes and when my trainer suggested that I start a running program, I decided to give them a try. The sizing on this shoe was so off that I checked the label to be sure that the right size was shipped! I have a slightly narrow foot yet these pinched my toes and forefoot so badly that I didn't even try to *walk* in them much less run. The arch also appeared to be misplaced. Not willing to gamble on another Hoka shoe. If you are considering this brand, I strongly suggest you go to a retail store and try them on in person.

I was very disappointed with these shoes. I have a narrow foot, but even so, the shoe tongue is either too narrow and/or doesn't have enough padding. The shoe lace eye rubs the head of my metatarsal so much that it is painful and I cannot run and/or walk in these shoes.
