Have worn Gel Resolution for years after the Asics rep sold them to me as the brand's flagship shoe to address stability and over-pronation issues while providing cushion/comfort. They have been solid shoes that lived up to the hype until the last few years. This shoe is not only way too narrow in the forefoot, but now lacks the stability it was once known for. I pronate in this shoe; after trying them out for about 30 mins around the house my knees began to ache. They feel mushy and you can actually watch your foot roll in while walking. And this is with a very good custom orthotic - made to prevent pronation - inserted inside the shoe! Sadly I will start searching for a new brand. I will say that I also tried the Gel Game 6 which is marketed as a lighter duty shoe. It provided more stability than the Gel Resolution and the toe box more generous. Gel Challenger 10 was also somewhat better ....... Why do companies insist on re-inventing their wheel!!

These shoes run very narrow. I went up 1/2 size and they were still too narrow.

Some years ago, Asics Gel-Resolution was recommended in Tennis Mag by a podiatrist for those of us who've had a problem with plantar fasciitis. I began to wear them at that time, and have never had the problem again. I'd say I swear by them at this point -- and have no desire to try another shoe on the tennis court. Highly recommend. I'm not one for white shoes, but prefer some flare -- and Asics gives me that option.

very narrow in forefoot

Bought these because I needed a casual sneaker for walking and running errands, etc. and I liked the way they looked. Mostly comfortable, but I can't wear these for too long or they make my pinkie toe hurt.

These shoes ran very small. They seem very supportive which I want in my tennis shoe but unfortunately the top lace hole hits me right on my arthritic bone. I'm way too young to stop playing tennis so the search is on for a shoe that fits me better.

The color and style of this shoe is great, however, the fit was horrible. I should have listened to previous reviews. I have a normal footbed, not wide. The toe bed on the ASICS Gel-Resolution 7 is so narrow that it caused all of my toes to go numb and the front half of my foot to be in pain with my gym workouts. The heel portion of the shoe was amazing, so comfortable. Initially I was so happy to have a shoe that gave good heel support and relief to my plantars fasciitis. It was truly a real disappointment when the front portion of the shoe did not work out. Why would Asics make the toe so narrow?

Very cute shoes. Great colors. Wore them around the house a little. The heel kept slipping. I tightened the laces, and my toes went numb. Then I laced up to the top hole. They still slipped off heel. Cannot play tennis like that. Very upset. I had the 5's, and they were fabulous. These fit nothing like the 5's. returned them.

I play tennis regularly and only buy ASICS tennis shoes. They are the only brand I feel offers stability and support while still being light on your feet. I also have bunions and these have never hurt my feet. This was my fourth pair of ASICS tennis shoes.

I've worn the Gel Resolution for several years, and I love this new look and color scheme. Sadly, they made the toe box more narrow and it no longer fits my foot. Hopefully they will remedy that with the next version because I love this shoe!

I like them overall. I have worn Gel Resolution 5s and 6s in the past--5s are my favorite, sorry they stopped making them. These have a new design. I thought I might return them, but after a week or so of breaking them, they fit fine. Narrower in the toebox then previous versions. Great color!

Agree with a lot of prior reviews, toe box is very narrow, I even ordered up a size. Love the 6's, returning these. I love ASICS for tennis - usually great support and comfort, but will need to look around now at other brands - bummer.

All other reviews (from here and other sites) noting the narrow pinky toe box making the toe squished and hurt are correct. This Gel Resolution 7 is a Big Change from Gel Resolution 6. I’m so sad I can’t find any Gel Resolution 6, which were awesome on the tennis court. At least thank goodness for Zappos and their customer service!

The bottom of my foot and toes would become numb. i fell there was no support under the ball of my feet. Heel and arch support are good. Not a good fit for me.

these shoes hurt my feet.. back they went... they are very narrow and the sole was way to hard for me...

My foot is somewhat narrow and these fit me perfectly without sliding around. They're also not too stiff. I like flexibility. And they do look very snazzy! I think I'm an Asics convert.

First off, I find NO tennis shoe is truly as comfortable... It took me 2 years and many models to find my first ever tennis shoe. I bought this model as a hard court shoe ( yes there is a difference) for more support. I have worn a clay court shoe on hard courts for well over a year and found it to be lacking support. For me the fit was true to size, I am a true 9 in most of my athletic shoes ( other than a true running shoe: 9.5), my foot is not wide, I am a borderline narrow foot , so the width for me was no problem, but could see that a wider foot will need half a size up. I was worried that the shoe being plastic all around would be hot, but it was not. It required less break in than I thought, I actually find the shoe quite comfortable! It performs well on hard or clay court, good support and stability. I have slight heel slippage on the left but will lace differently on that side then. I bought the salmon/ blue combo and find it attractive! I am not one for white shoes, as it drives me nuts when they look dirty... This is my first asics tennis shoe and I am happy with it! I bought 4 pairs of tennis shoes, two sizes of the gel 7, and two of the challenger 12. Both in 9 and 9.5. I was a 9 in both, but the gel 7 is way outperforming the 12 and I am happy with it!! And Zappos is a no brainer in service!!!!

Been wearing these for almost almost week & no complaints. 11.5 M fit as expected, comfy, stable & light.

Cute shoe. Tight in the toebox at first as others have reported, but eased up after 30 minutes of wear. I’ve been wearing them now for about 4 hours and they feel great.

I previously wore the Gel Resolution 5 and loved them. These are still true to size but the fit is more snug. I didn't need to size up though. Took less than an hour to break in. The second time I wore them I liked them even more than the older version. I wear a 4 or 4 1/2 street shoe and bought these in a 5.

Toe box was very narrow; it hurt my baby toe. Cushioning was supportive.
