These ran big in my opinion. Thankfully I had a daughter who could wear them. I loved the style, just needed a smaller size.

I like these shorts, however my rating reflects the sizing chart. I followed the chart and ordered a medium based on the measurements, but the size was too big, I would need a small. So now I have to return the mediums and order a small. But overall, they are worth getting.

These shorts are a good length and a good fit for a petite person. I'm 5'1 and 135 pods and the small Fits great except the waist band could be so much better. It's very flimsy and kind of rolls over after wearing for a few hours. I'd say if you have a flat stomach it wouldn't be a problem but otherwise the waist doesn't hold its shape.

Not crazy about the style of these, overall. Just too baggy in the thigh area, for my taste. Comfy and seemed well-made, but they're going back.

These are really comfortable, but like another reviewer, mine are badly pilled and snagged after only a month. The stitching unraveled in several places around the waist too.

I wanted to love these shorts. The price was great! Loved the black color, loved the length, loved the pockets. BUT the shorts didn't feel comfortable when walking - they irritated my legs. The medium were odd fitting in the leg.

I love these shorts, however I have to give them 3 stars even though I want to give them 5. Apparently they have changed the fit of the shorts from a standard fit to a relaxed fit, but they don't tell you this on the website. I was sent one of each, and when I asked about sending the relaxed fit back, I was told they are all relaxed fit now, and that they must have had an old pair leftover in their stock. Very frustrating that I was not told this ahead of time. As it was not indicated on my order or on the website. If you purchase these, just know they are a relaxed fit, which can be unflattering.

These shorts really ran small! Based on prior reviews that these run big I ordered a small because I usually wear M and I've recently lost weight. These were WAY too small! I am 5'2" and 130 lbs and athletic build but I wonder if the M would have fit! I don't like tight shorts to work out or hike and these were tight in my hips and I'm not out of proportion! Otherwise, I could see wearing these to hike, gym work, run, etc or just running errands.

Loved the pant version so I bought the shorts. The leg opening in these are super wide looks like a shirt on me not at all like the picture.

I was so excited about these shorts when I saw them online. I read the reviews and felt confident that they were exactly what I was looking for. I wanted shorts that I can do anything in-if you look at the photo they basically hug the leg of the model-not tight, but perfect. The model does not look like she has large muscular thighs. So I ordered and when I received found the leg opening to be very wide. Actually if you look at the photo of the Aphrodite short that is on sale that is what you are getting. Rather than update the fit, they just took another photo and made some corrections to the photo. They are very wide. I do have Skinny thighs, but based on the photo they would have fit me like a short with normal leg opening.

The material bunches up between my legs when I walk, would not recommend

I ordered The North Face Aphrodite 2.0 shorts in a size medium, color Dune Beige. I received Arc’teryx size 8 Creston shorts in a green color. Not sure what’s going on over in the warehouse but I’m pretty disappointed as I ordered these shorts for a vacation starting in two days.

The legs are much wider than in previous seasons. What happened to the perfect design? I implored The North Face not to change a thing on the world's most perfectly comfortable, fitting and durable short in the world. I have over 15 pairs in all colors from all seasons. Please, Please, change it back to the original template or even last season. What happened?!!! These shorts were made for real women and you just disregarded that fact altogether. Please make and sell what real women of all shapes and sizes wear! I am 5'4", 125 lbs. The Medium was a sensational fit and the function perfect. Now a dream is lost. So disappointed.
