Everything about the pants are great. I wish I was aware of the engineered fabric which was used. Google nanotech fabrics and learn about them. Then decide. It not only add toxins to our body but to our planet. Sorry North Face, you've joined the other side with these FlashDry fabrics.

I loved the way these pants looked and felt, and I assumed they would be good quality because of the name. However, after wearing them for just 2 hours I noticed a strange shirring and pilling in the fabric on the front of the thighs. After hiking for the rest of the day, I finally figured out that the straps from my hiking backpack were touching the pants and causing the pilling. The straps were NOT rough on the edge, and caused no problem at all on my similar style pants by Columbia and Kuhl. This is just the worst fabric imaginable and absolutely not suitable for outdoor wear. At least I got my money back at the store where I bought them.

I bought these pants for hiking, they are nice and light however after washing they immediately starting pulling. I never put them in the dryer, always hang to dry. Everything sticks to them as well. I am very disappointed.

I own many NF items so I ignored the reviews about pilling. After 2 days of hiking they looked like they were 3 years old. Pilling everywhere. The pants look stylish and are great for hiking, but I was very disappointed that the material was so bad that 2 wears and no washes made it look bad. I intended to wear these for casual dinners but wouldn't because of their appearance.

These ride up your butt like no pants I have tried before. They fit me well (slightly baggy) in every way EXCEPT when I walk they ride right up there. Will be returning them. Also, the fabric is not very durable. I have the full length version (which doesn't have the bum problem) and there is already pilling and several catches after wearing them a few times. Really suprised that The North Face would sell such a low quality product.

Last year I bought 3 pairs of the Aphrodite capris & loved them! I continue to wear them this season and they look brand new. I was excited to see that North Face came out with a new 2.0 version- boy was I wrong. After 1 wearing and washing they are pilling and stain/ white patches when they air dry (I only wash them on gentle with dark colors- I have the black 2.0 capris). I was going to buy another pair but don't want to send the money in something that won't last.

I wore these (in ms grey) for the first time just for quick errands. I have
a lightweight nylon purse that falls at my hip. At the contact area the surface of the fabric was immediately pilled and worn looking. I have countless NF shorts/pants and have never had this issue (including contact with heavy backpacks)! I rarely write reviews, but was compelled to this time. While comfortable and cute, shouldn't have to be this careful with the material.
