GEL-Nimbus 19 is so uncomfortable around top of foot. Much less room than the GEL-Nimbus 18. I can't wait to take them off after my workout. I'll never purchase 19 again. Might even switch brands if 18 becomes unavailable...

I have really loved Asics since high school (30 years ago!), and I run a lot of miles. I am training for a marathon, and ordered these because they are highly rated for cushioning on longer distance runs. I liked the styling and could tell the support would be good, but the front toe box of the shoe was very tight. I always order a 1/2 size up in my running shoes, but this was not enough of a difference in this model. My left foot was numb part way through my first and only run wearing them, even though I had the laces very loose. I'm not sure why Asics would vary this from shoe to shoe- I ordered the Kayanos, and they are very comfortable.

I am running with Asics shoes since Nimbus 13. I am running 25-30 miles a week and was very happy with the Nimbus 13to 17. I tried the Cumulus 17 and changed 3 pairs. The Nimbus 19 is too narrow at the top so you need to take one size bigger than you used to. In addition, it is not as soft as the previous models.

The shoes are much more narrow than my Nbus 18. I had to unlace them and re-lace them to get them to a point where I could even walk in them. I'm not very pleased with the fit at all; I do, however, love the look of them.

I've worn ASICS for years, gel nimbus, 8.5. This year they are too small so darn had to send back. Tried size 9 at store & they're too big. I'm bummed cause I love the shoes, oh well!

Let me start by saying I've been running with angel Nimbus shoes now for 7 years and every iteration since version 12. I bough this shoe a month ago and so far not impressed, hoping they break in soon because if not I'll be trying to get a replacement pair. They're the same size as my last several pairs but are very tight and are hurting the soles of my feet. So far these have not been a good update for the line.

They last two Nimbus styles don't fit like they use to. I'm so disappointed and don't know what other shoe to buy now. They ended up giving me blisters.

I have been buying this particular shoe for ten years. They no longer have the support for me. They changed the designed considerably. I have a 16 and they STILL have more support than the 19. I will have to start looking for another brand that can hold up.

The GEL-Nimbus 18 saved me from the curse of plantar fasciitis. After just a few months though, there were big holes in them, and I can't find another pair left anywhere. After switching to the 19 in the same size, my plantar fasciitis returned after just a few days. I'm back to wearing my very holey 18s and will until they fall off my feet. Also, these cause numbness in the toes.

I have been using Asics the last 5 years or so and love the gel cushioning. However, it seemed that the wides kept getting narrower and narrrower. This one wasn't even close to being a wide width and also seemed short, even though I ordered a 1/2 size larger like normal. Very disappointed and trying a new brand where the wide is a wide!
I'd also recommend:
try New Balance for a wide

I bought the Gel Nimbus 18’s. I have tendon damage and plantar’s fasciitis in both feet. The 18’s were so well cushioned on the heel and inside heel portion of my foot. It was the best show I have worn. I even bought another pair....but wish I had bought 20. The 19’s didn’t have any cushion or support in comparison. The look of ASICS is always great and you can find a color option you like, but they went backwards with the 19 in my opinion.

I had Asics GEL-Nimbus 19's and liked the shoes. So I reordered. These fit more like the current generation. Shorter, slightly thinner, with more curve to the toe area. I don't think ordering up a size or width would work. So I am returning them. The 19's were previously sold out. I think these are 20's sold as 19's because they messed up by changing the style and everyone wants 19's.

I ordered them in my regular size and had to exchange for 1.5 sizes up. Even the wide size seemed very tight. The arch support is nearer the heel, and so my feet starts cramping about a mile into any walk or run, and they are very painful. This was my first try with Asics after reading some blogs about running shoes for wide feet. Going back to New Balance, as their wide is actually built for wide feet.
I'd also recommend:

Swapped to another brand....very narrow the area and no longer a neutral running shoe. States that it is but is very misleading.... dangerous too for health reasons especially for runners. Not happy...this would have been my 5th nimbus by them. Bought Saucony and looking forward to using them probably moving forward.

I bought and 8 & 8 1/2. To try the different sizes. My last year's model is an 8 1/2 and super comfortable but these are really narrow and hurt my feet. I wore them out hoping they would stretch and now unfoetunaly I can't return them. Very disappointed

I have been buying the Asics Gel-Nimbus for nearly 20 years. Over time, I have noticed that they seem to be making their shoes smaller and smaller. I used to wear an 8 1/2 and then learned to order a 9 in Asics. This worked for a number of years, until this shoe. I ordered a size 9 in the Gel-Nimbus 19 and it is disappointingly small. My toes are crammed in the toe box and my feet feel cramped. I am sorely disappointed that I wore these outside before realizing that they are entirely too small. I really need a 9 1/2.

I've gotten these every year for several years in a row. Bought them again this year without bothering reading any reviews. That was a mistake. The sizing is off on the Nimbus 19. It's at least a 1/2 size to 1 size off from my normal shoe size. I can compare it to my past Nimbus and it is a little shorter and narrower than the previous model even though they are the same size. Frustrating since I couldn't return them since I assumed that the same size shoe in the same line of shoes would fit so I didn't bother testing them out before I took the tag off.

I have worn and loved three pairs of the previous Nimbus. These were a disappointment. The fit in the heel cuff was too cushioned, and made it feel like my foot wasn’t sitting far enough back in the shoe. Even when I positioned my foot normally in the shoes, the arch support was abysmal. I pulled out the insert and compared it to the previous nimbus’ insert and it has an identical arch, so something else about the design must be the problem. The one awesome thing: these are sharp looking shoes! Made me even more bummed that they were so uncomfortable.

I agree with other reviews that the 19s run short and narrow. They are not like the previous 3-4 pairs of Nimbus that I have owned. I will be returning them. Very disappointed.
