The Winner!! I've been a fan of ASICS since grade school - for 40 years..I had ASICS posters on my wall along with Mary Decker ;). These shoes fit beautifully and are comfortable right out of the box. I was a size 7 until a few years ago...I think ASICS changed something as I still wear size 7 in other brands, so I now get size 7 1/2, and they fit great. Medium width is good for me...no problem with the toe area being too tight. I tried on the following ASICS: Gel-Exalt 3, GT 1000 5, GT 2000 5, Gel-Cumulus 18 GTX, Gel-Nimbus 18, and Gel-Evate 3, and these Nimbus 19's were my favorite (Nimbus 18 was great too, but these had the edge). I'm 5' 5" and 125 lbs., so not a heavy runner, and I have a neutral heel strike. I do have knee and hip issues, so the padding and shock absorption in these shoes is greatly appreciated. The quality really shines in the overall padding, and I was happy with the grey color with just a touch of mint and coral as I don't like overly bright shoes. These replaced my Gel-Kayanos, which were wonderful and I still wear as a casual shoe, but not for running as they are worn out. Give these shoes a try despite the other negative reviews...you might be pleasantly surprised...but consider ordering a half size up.

Bought both the Nimbus 18 & 19 for comparison. 19 seems just slightly stiffer in the sole, with some sort of toe support pillow. It was also much smaller than the 18. I ordered a half size up from the 18 and it was slightly smaller than the 18 (even though it was bigger by the size). Both were equally comfortable overall, but I chose the 18 simply from price ($50 cheaper).

The Nimbus 19 runs much smaller than the 18.

Love the fit with this narrow version! The wider pair was too roomy, this hugs my feet perfectly! I ordered a half size larger than previously, as they run a bit small.

I followed the other reviews and ordered a half size larger. I am glad I did. They fit perfectly. Normally I am an 11. I ordered an 11.5 - perfect fit. I was worried they would be loose but they are wonderfully snug - but not tight, or uncomfortable. They feel great when I walk in them - so much support. I do wish they had more color variations. I think the men's styles have better color mixes.

These are so narrow. I went up a half size and my toes are still squished. They actually started going numb. So sad to have to return them, but I just can't stand to wear them.

I walked around my house to see how they would fit. After a half an hour I realized my toes became numb. I have to send them back which is sad. I was so excited about getting them. I understand the problem is with the newer styles. Too bad the older Nimbus 16 is not available.

I like the feel of the shoe, but I have to agree with the other reviews - the shoe is narrow! I'm normally a med width, but that was too tight - I even ordered the wide and it still makes my toes go numb!

I've worn this shoe in various models and incarnations for years, and been mostly-happy. The last few versions weren't my favorites -- they always felt loose on my foot, especially in the heel. Like other reviewers have mentioned, this shoe definitely runs narrow & small -- I sized up to a 9.5 after initially ordering my usual size 9 (waay small! Thanks, awesome Zappos customer service!!). The sized-up pair fit very well, but I also like a snug fitting shoe & have a narrower heel; I like that this shoe really hugs my foot. Did a 4 mile run out of the box & felt awesome. I'm looking forward to ordering a few more pairs & tucking them away in case I don't like the Nimbus 20!

Love these! These fit my feet better thank the 18's. I have narrow feet. I felt the 18's were to roomy in the toes. These are a much better for me.

I want to get into running and was looking for a comfortable shoe that would support my joints and reduce shock - this shoe is amazing. It's also wonderful for walking, it's like walking on a cloud (or that memory foam feeling). In my search for the perfect running shoe for me, I tried the Nike Free RN (nice barefoot feeling but no cushioning), the Nike Pegasus 33 (nice looking shoe, responsive and a little bit of cushioning) but nothing could match up to the cushioning of the Gel Nimbus. If you're looking for that Sketchers memory foam feeling with the added stability in a wonderfully designed running shoe, then this is it.

I've been wearing Asics for 20plus years, recently the gel nimbus 17. I have problems with my feet and walk over 5 miles a day, so I get new Asics three to four times a year. I loved them (past tense). The foot bed has been changed and my toes cramp even in a full size larger. Wasted money on 2 pairs. Now I am searching for a new brand.

I love these shoes! I use them for running, walking and crossfit. I have ordered the gel nimbus every six months for the last 5 years. I ordered the same size and this time they were WAY TOO small. Has anyone else noticed this? I might have gotten a miss-sized pair. I am going to order up 1/2 a size and hope for the best.

I love the Gel Nimbus' so when my old pair was ready to be replaced, this was the only shoe I looked at. I agree with other reviewers that this seems to run a tad smaller than the 18, but I ordered accordingly. Also are narrower in the toe box, but for me, that wasn't a problem. I love the cushioning in these, it is like running on clouds, hence the name. Comfortable right out of the box, love the colors and for this low distance runner, a perfect shoe.

Loved these and wore them for a day unfortunately my toes went numb. It might just be me, but my ASICS Nimbus 18 don't cause this.

I have the Nimbus 17 and I love them. They are the most comfy sneakers. These were not like them at all. I am so disappointed because I really wanted a pair in black. These sneakers were narrow and very tight. I wore them for less than 1/2 hour and my feet were in pain and a blister had started to form.

Small toe box on this style. I have bought other Asics shoes which were fine.

This is the worst pair of shoes I have had in a long time. I wore them in house few times and they felt comfortable. So I thought this was the pair, well after street walking I found that on the right foot side of heel area they bloused out like a gap and were not snug at all. Nothing I did seemed to help. I called and talked to customer service and they said no one else had complained so I said I would keep wearing them. Now I worn them about 2 months and the tread on the bottom is almost smooth. I don't run I just walk three to 5 miles a day. Very disappointed. My husband even walked behind me and said he could see the gap as I stepped down on pavement. I tried a pair of these on at the Academy before purchasing them from Zappos because you have best price around and they seemed like the most comfortable.
