The whiskey taupe is a lot lighter in person than in the picture. They are more of a cognac color. I still love them and ended up keeping them anyway. I ordered my normal size, and they fit perfectly. They are so comfortable and I get tons of compliments on them! Probably my favorite pair of shoes that I own!

I originally ordered these a half size up to the reviews, but when they came in (thanks Zappos for overnight shipping, seriously!), they were way too big IMO and my foot kept flopping. So I ordered my regular size (8.5/38.5), and they were perfect. The leather was a teeny bit tight but after wearing them one time they stretched out comfortably. I ordered the Whiskey Taupe because that was the color that I was searching for - if you're looking for the Whiskey color, this is what you want - that gorgeous red undertone that looks amazing with skirts, shorts, and jeans. I choked at the price a little bit, but I've been wanting them for so long I finally bit the bullet and they're worth it. I've seen reviews where people say they look worn - genuine leather does that, and Free People has "quirks" to their products that make them look aged even if they're brand new, so that's something to consider. Overall a very well made shoe that matches so many things

I LOVE these shoes! The style is just what I was looking for, and I'm now looking forward to warmer and dryer weather so that I can wear them. There are differences in the leathers of the different colors. I initially ordered the Whiskey Taupe, and it is a beautiful color, with buttery-soft leather. My heel does slip just a little bit, but I'm truly in between an 8.5 and 9, so that doesn't surprise me. There is enough coverage over the top of my foot that it's really not a problem at all. Since I loved them so much, I also ordered the black. The leather on the black is not as soft and supple as it is on the Whiskey Taupe, so I could not justify keeping them for the cost - I returned the black. There is a tiny bit or arch support. More than a basic flat, but not much, if you need good support.

An amazingly stylish and comfortable shoe! I wear 7.5w and the size 38.5 was perfect to accommodate a wide foot. The leather is soft and supple, and there was no issue with ankle or heel rubbing or any tightness due to sizing up. The actual leather colors seemed wildly off from the photos (as both customers and the product description states). I wanted the color pictured for “Brown,” but it was too pale in person. I swapped it for a “Whiskey Taupe” and whaddya know? The shoe’s color is more similar to the “Brown” photos. Keep shooting for the right size and color—you won’t be disappointed!

Gorgeous and comfortable!!

These shoes are a winner! After reading the reviews I ordered a half size bigger than my normal size and they fit great. These shoes kind of mold to your feet and really make a statement. I ordered the whiskey taupe and I'm very happy with the rich color - almost a cognac with a bit more brown.

Loved this flat, but had to order three pair before I got two shoes that looked like they matched. I understand they are supposed to have a worn look to them, but the first two pair were way off.

These are a little loose around the ankle, due to them being an open style. I have a couple of pairs. I keep laughing when I read the annoyed reviews that say things like 'These have obviously been worn' (when they still have the stickers on the soles) & 'These look like a hobo has worn them' They are meant to!! The soles are meant to be multi-toned and aged, the leather is meant to be creased in certain areas, Free People are a bohemian style brand, not prissy, that's their thing. I'm happy to pay more for the distressed look that has taken time and effort to create, just like I do for some of my denim and leather, just like I do for my smoked Converse sneakers.

These shoes are awesome!! I wear between a 6-7 and the 37 was perfect. No break in time and so many complements!! Love them.

I LOVE these shoes. They are gorgeous, so well made, and shockingly comfortable for what they are. Maybe not the best shoes if you’re going to be standing ALL day, but I’ve been been wearing them every day since I got them, including 10-15 minute walk to and from the train and working at a standing desk part of the day and feet feel great.

These boots are fantastic! I always get nervous ordering shoes online without knowing how they are going to fit and if the color is as described. Well, the fit is perfect! I am a 37 (6.5-7) and this shoe fits perfectly! I ordered the canary color and it is a beautiful light brown with a hint of yellow that literally goes with everything! The quality and leather look and feel amazing. I think I read thru 40 reviews just to make sure I was ordering the right color and size for me and I am very happy!!

Great shoes. I have very wide feet, and went up half a size and they are okay for width, I hope they’ll stretch a bit more. May be a little roomy in the heel now but that’s manageable.

These are a little pricey but they did not disappoint. A great Fall shoe, especially in Texas where it’s still hot. Comfortable and just the right amount of casual. Love love love

Generally wear an 8.5, which I originally purchased, and that didn’t fit. These feel like they fit, so I guess size up a size? Super cute and comfy.

I absolutely LOVE these! They were comfortable right out of the box, so much so, I just ordered another pair! I will definitely be buying these in all the colors! Craftsmanship is impeccable! The brown is a taupe color, I think Zappos should have reversed the taupe and brown colors... Also, I ordered my normal size 10.5, and they are perfect! Left foot is a tad tight, but leather gives over time. The cost is for sure an investment, but at almost 50, comfort is what I go for these days.

Although I loved the style of these shoes, I had to return them. I wear a size 6 1/2 and felt they were true to size but my heel kept slipping out of the shoe when I walked. If I sized down, then they would have fit too tightly around my toes. Super cute though!

If you have not tried these out they are amazing they have knock off brands but I swear they are nothing like the real thing, believe me I tried just wish Zappos offered more coupon codes
