I've worn NB for years and actually upgraded when I ordered these. A blister about the size of a half dollar was rubbed on my left heel during my daily three mile walk on the second day of wearing them.

I've been buying New Balance shoes for a long time. I have found them to fit well, very flexible and comfortable. This model 857v2, is stiff and clunky and not very comfortable.

I loved this shoe. I wore it every day, all day long, for many years. I evened ordered them 3 pairs at a time, They were comfortable right out of the box. Then last year I received a pair that killed the bottom of my feet. The Number on the shoe was MX857WN2. When I called NB they said the design had been changed. I called today and the 857 V2 is the same bad design. A good shoe bites the dust. Do not buy.

I have owned three pair of 856's. They were the best shoes I ever owned. Unfortunately they wore out and I needed to replace them. NB no longer makes that model. The 857 is the replacement and the 857 is a terrible shoe. The foot bed is uneven and lumpy, so much so that I can feel it through a pair of NB cushioning insoles. The tongues roll to one side when I wear them. They move so far that the laces become exposed. There is nothing between the lace and my sock. To add insult to injury I ordered them in the same size and width as my 856's. Those 857s are both wider and longer than the same size 856. Why did NB stop making the 856? It was a great shoe. I have been a loyal NB customer for more than 30 years. NB golf shoes, running shoes and cross trainers have been in my closet. The 857 may well result in a change.

I purchased NB Shoes for the first time because there made in the USA. These are Overpriced Junk. I was very disappointed. Returned the 2 pairs of shoes and will never buy NB again.

Within 2 weeks one shoe the outside N started peeling. A week later over half was pulled away so just pulled it the rest of the way off. Not much later the other shoe started doing the same. Go back to stitching your logo on if you want free advertisement!

I purchased my 857V2 last December for step class and walking. The shoes are falling apart. There is a quality issue materializing at New Balance. I do not recommend purchasing these shoes.

I was surprised by the shape of the shoe. They were so wide as to be misshaped and looked like clown shoes. They were returned.

The shoes were good but the glued on sole pieces are falling off. I had one glued back on but now another fell off. Clearly the glue used or the process was defective in my case. I'm buying another model after checking to see if the same kind of glued on sole pieces were used or not. I hope this was an isolated issue with this particular model.

My adult son has been wearing NB with the role bar for 6 years on the advice of his Orthopedist. I bought these shoes 857v2 on March 19, they arrived on March 26. Today is July 11, the tread is completely gone so they have no traction (even on sidewalk), heel is totally warn down. The shoes are now unwearable. Very disappointed

I have walked thousands of miles and enjoyed the cross trainer series of New Balance since 1995... my feet have never felt better until the 857v2... WORST SHOE EVER!! There is absolutely no cushion or flexibility... I have developed metatarsalgia since wearing this shoe... do to the shoes hard inflexible sole. The v2 shoe should have it's own different series number not related to the 857... WORST SHOE EVER!!

If you would sell on-line at the same price you sell in the store, it would be very helpful. Also there is something wrong with your system if an order cannot be cancelled a few hours after it was placed when your warehouse hasn't even picked it yet.

You remove the arch from the insole. I have very flat feet. The insole arch was a key fact on comfort in the sneaker for me. Along with having the plastic foot brace and rollbar for stability was a great sneaker in previous models. Very disappointed in the remodel on this Iiconic sneaker. Go back to the drawing broad on this 1!!

Very good fit and comfortable. But the soles on the right shoe have come unglued on the last 2 pair I have purchased. I have been wearing NB shoes for over 25 years but recently the quality seems to be deteriorating.

Purchased shoes on 12/01/16 (10 Months) and the sole has come unglued. I rarely used these shoes!! Went back to the store of purchase and the response was they only guarantee for 6 months. WHAT!! Very disappointed for the price paid. Probably no one will read this response or do anything since most companies just forget you after a purchase.

The 857 is a complete dud and failure....It runs smaller in the width and has a different last than the previous models in the 850 series.....Change is only good if it improves the model not make it worse....BRING BACK THE STELLAR 856 MODEL which was a huge success with the NB customers!

Not everything needs to be "improved". The original version of this shoe worked so well to reduce the roll of my ankle and to cushion a damaged heel. After wearing the V2 for half a day, my heel hurts so badly that I can barely walk. Very disappointed in New Balance customer service response. NB read these reviews! There is a problem with thie heel!

Personally having been diagnosed with small fiber peripheral neuropathy 10 years ago, the New Balance 850 series was ONLY shoe that provided me any degree of normal mobility without too much pain. Sadly, that now is gone. Clearly, the only reasons for these changes had to be based on saving money. Probably eight out of 10 members of our Neuropathy support group wore the NB 850 series shoes. We are all now looking elsewhere... Wish us luck - Sad Day !!

Why did NB change a good thing? I loved the original857's but these "new and improved" felt like the accountants told the designers what was a good idea When I walk I feel and sound like I've got wood planks tied to my shoes. My feet and ankles alwayshurt when they never did before. At first I believed they would soften after a few days. Nope. headed back to NB store for a refund/exchange. I can't stand the pain any longer. I'm on my feet 9 -10 hours a day. I hope someone at NB reads this and wears them for a week on hard floors to understand.
