The fit and size was right. The problem is that the sole is very hard and stiff. Also, it makes a lot of noise when walking even on concrete.
I think the description on the website should indicate this fact.

I received a number of emails from Balance for a 20% off deal. I have been buying New Balance shoes for at least 10 years after my doctor recommended them to help with my planters fasciitis. I have always bought the top of the line trainers. I first stopped at a store to check the size and style options then went home and attempted to purchase but the discount would not apply. After a number of attempts I called and was told the offer did not apply to my selection. They said there was a notice of this on the web page. I was on the page as we talked and I could not find it finally with some guidance from the person on the phone I found the small type at the bottom of the page the text was grey on a white background. I could not find any disclaimers in the ad. I did get the 20% off as I was just going to start getting shoes somewhere else and still might. The styles have changed and not for the better. Very disapointed in New Balance!

Not as good as the previous version, which lasted me about 2 years. This version, of which I've bought 2 pair, don't even last a year. I'm a big guy, 6'2, 290#, and the Rollbar feature literally FALLS APART after a few months....AND the bottoms have to be re-glued because they peel away from the shoe itself. Save your money. They never go on sale, either.

I bought 3 pairs o Lt to find out they loose support & motion control very quickly! They didn't last any longer then standard shoes or Nike's brand. Not worth $100++

I have swollen feet and while the picture look like it would accommodate, it didn't.

Not sure how this shoe gets such good reviews. The arch only covers the last third of my foot--the forward two thirds has no arch at all; it fits well otherwise. I returned these because they aren't worth the price tag. The sole has plastic in it--yes, plastic. Those gray triangles are plastic, as is the black styling at the back of the heel. While they are quiet, they won't be once the sole wears enough for the plastic triangles to make contact with the ground. Zappos accepted the return without issue--no muss, no fuss--so they get five stars.

They reduced the amount of lacing holes from 6 to 5. That caused the shoe not to be as secure. After wearing them one time the top lace almost pulled out of the top hole. The shoes feel loose all the time. You cant depend on them.

New Balance shoes 857
I rarely use these shoes or any other shoes because I am handicapped and having difficulty walking, I bought these pair of shoes early this year 2022 maybe in March but not quite sure as I have dumped the receipt, I thought I am not going to need it for the much I have trusted this brand name but unfortunately two months ago I found that the heel of one of the shoes is cracked but because I didn't have the receipt and because I have paid in cash I wasn't able to return them or make a complaint, but tonight the upper leather peeled off at a spot where I tried to wipe out a drop of juice with a wet rag and toothbrush off my shoe and peeling off can go on, this is very disappointing, I was happy with your product for the past 12 years but not this time and now I am paying for the trust I put in your name.

I bought a pair of 854 on April 17 and worn about 20 times. I when I used them daily for about a week . The right heal collapsed interior bunched up. This felt like some thing was in my shoe. Wow ! One hundred thirty one dollars foe a defective shoe.

I now have sent back two (2) pairs of these because the top line deteriorated within 90 days of use, light use at that.

I have been purchasing these shoes for years now, was very disappointed in the last purchase. The soles started coming apart within the first week of usage. Customer service has not been helpful.

Hurt outer midsection of my feet at the area where heel flap ends inside the shoe and interior sole. Inserts did not help and am returning them as well as 928s. Unable to break in the shoe to my feet/vice versa. A wider shoe would not have helped. However, loved the toe space and especially the anti skid soles which allowed me to easily move tall rolling ladders and power lifts on concrete floors while the shoes were killing me. Low rating due to pain caused.

I tried the shoe on. It felt too narrow at the toe box. So I loosened the shoe laces but that didn't work. I tried to bend the shoe but that did not work. I am thinking that this shoe was miss marked since I have purchased shoes in the passed with a purrfect fit.

I was hoping that this shoe would be my savior from pain but it was not. My feet hurt so much after wearing them I had to soak them in epsilon salts to ease the pain.

I've had many foot surgeries and ordered these using the same size of the other New Balance shoes I've gotten. These are almost a full size larger than what I usually get. I compared them heal to toe to my present new balance and there's no way they are the same sized shoe. I really wanted to try them because I need a wide heal due to neuropathy in my feet. So I bought a new pair of the ones I already have. Disappointing cuz I have odd sized feet and don't have many options......

Feet hurts after 15 minutes into aerobics workout. Contacted New Balance several days ago but I haven't heard from them yet. Shoes may be bit too wide for me (4E) despite last New Balances shoes that is same size and is terrific. I got the email asking me to review. So here's my review. :(

Too heavy!
My previous NB shoes were canvas top and lighter. The tops wore out and that's not good, but they were light on my feet.
This new pair 857v2 is much heavier--even through they were promoted as being light.
I am 88 years of age and balance is[ becoming a problem. That problem is aggravated by these heavier shoes!!!!!!!!
Would much prefer the 6e width.
