This shoe fit in length only. It is cut wide. Even with a shoe pad, still too much room. Too bad, it’s a cute shoe.

Since I got pregnant, now over 3 years ago, I have only used Tom's Avalon shoes. So I was super disappointed when they changed the style. The other Avalon's used to have a soft fabric or leather heel, which made them comfy right away. These new ones are made out of rough fabric, with some kind of glitter. They tore my heels right away. I've worn them 3 times over 2 weeks and every time they hurt. I think they'll get softer with use, but it is sad that someone's idea for a "newer" style has to mean a downgrade from the original. Also, they don't seem to make the Avalon for men. My husband and I loved having a similar shoe to wear, and he loves his Avalon's. But they are gone too. Overall pretty unhappy, but I kept them because I still hope I will like them. Also I used them, so I can't return them anymore.

The look is first-rate, but they were unbearable to wear because of the high, stiff fabric on the heel. BEWARE!!! I already threw out the box otherwise I would have returned them. Very disappointing in the end,.

These are my second pair of Avalon in the pink, my first being black. The pink is a lot stiffer material than the black so it took a few days of breaking them in wearing them around the house. They are cute shoes but I wouldn’t use them for more than running errands and hanging out. I wouldn’t recommend for a day of sightseeing or walking a dog for miles! My feet are on the small wide side so others may feel differently. I love the look of them so that’s why I will keep them even though not super supportive or comfortable. I agree with others that the traction on the bottom of the shoes are a little slippery so be careful.

In 2016 I bought my first pair of Toms after holding out for a long time and fell in love with them. They were the Avalon Synthetic Leather in Gunmetal and they were SO very comfy right out of the box. They were high quality and held up well and I ended up buying two more pair of the same. Fast forward a few years and I needed some new shoes and since I loved the simple style and comfort of these so much I thought I would just buy another pair or two of Toms Avalon. These are OK and I will likely keep them but they are not the same quality or level of comfort. They feel much lighter, are stiffer, less cushion, and started to give me blisters on the heel and around my toes. I bought the fabric/canvas ones and the synthetic leather and have the same complaints with both. They are fine for wearing around town for errands or casual weekends but take a break in period and I would NOT wear these for a lot of walking like I would with my prior pairs.

I was surprised how big these felt. Just no way I could wear them without socks - as they'd have needed a heavy winter sock, and this is a spring/summer shoe! It's a shame because I quite like the style. I am a 9.5 and these shoes felt like at LEAST a 10, mostly in the width and heel

I was so excited to replace my avalons with new ones but the comfort level has changed. The rim of the shoe is no longer rolled (like a hem) and, thus, it is not at all comfortable - more like a knife edge than smooth and comfortable. I don't mean that it cuts the foot but it rubs in a most unpleasant way. Sadly, I must return.

I love hear shows and they are always so comfortable. This pair seemed to be two different colors though. I don’t have to to return and wait for new ones so I’ll just hope no one notices.

I loved these, but they were very loose around the sides, almost like they were wider than medium width. I could not size down because I would have had no space left in the toe box. Ultimately, I returned these for a different style.

This shoe ran large. The heel slips. And it looks kinda funny with the rounded toe. It doesn’t look age appropriate for me. It was kind of comfortable but ugly imo.

I had a previous Avalon and LOOOOVE them. Unfortunately, I have tried several pairs of these in different colors and have had to send them all back. For some reason, they have made them more narrow. I don't have a wide foot at all but these were very tight! If I sized up for comfort, my heel slipped to badly. Really disappointed because I wanted to love them.

Cute shoe although didn't realize it was that shiny. Too wide and half size to large. My foot tends to run narrow.

These shoes had a really comfortable sole but felt short and wide. My toe was touching the front and the heel slipped alot.

These shoes are really cute and I would have loved to keep them if they had worked. They are not true to size. I wear a 7, so I ordered a 7, and they were way too big. I would have ordered a smaller size, but I agree with reviews that I saw that the heel/ankle area was high and would have rubbed.

I own three pairs Tom's Avalon style in different colors. I love the style--it's casual yet comfortable. But these shoes eat the living daylights out of my heel. Every single time I wear them, I have to reinforce my heels with bandaids, and even then I end up bleeding. It's absolutely ridiculous. My heels are literally scarred from these shoes.

Cute and mostly comfy, but the coarse metallic fabric at the heel rubbed my Achilles' tendon enough that I thought it would be a problem wearing them for a long time.

I've had several pairs of Avalons, and I loved them and wore them til they started falling apart - about two years. Very comfortable, and better support, warmth and traction than original Toms. But I did not like this pair. The material is a bit stiff, I guess because of the metallic thread, and the sizing felt a bit bigger than previous pairs. As a result, it immediately started digging in to my skin. I think if I had tried to wear them, I would have had very sad feet by the end of the day.

The back of the shoe was too tall, and the fabric was too stiff, so I could tell it would rub my heel. I returned them.

I wear size 11 in classic TOMS, although my foot is 10-1/2 and a little wide, so I ordered 11 in this Avalon style. The footbed of these was true to size (a little big for my sole) so it seemed like these would be a great shoe for me. I loved the metallic black color and they appear to have more support than the classics, which is what I was hoping for longer days on my feet. I could not get them on my foot without a real struggle, the top is high across the length of my foot. I wasn't sure how much or how quickly they would stretch out so this would be a wearable shoe, so I'm returning them. I tried the deconstructed version too, and it was a similar fit issue. I don't think I have high arches so I'm not sure why the proportions don't work for me. I'm debating keeping one of the pairs to wear them around the house on the weekend just to see if they stretch ANY across the fabric top over a few days. Then they would be great shoes.

Cute shoes but runs small. I’m not sure if they would get looser as I break them in but too small to risk it. Returning these unfortunately.

This is not the same TOMS Avalon that I have purchased in the past. This new design is not nearly as comfortable, with stiff fabric uppers and very little cushioning.

I wanted to love these, but they just felt so scratchy and uncomfortable on my feet.

I bought these six months ago and I’m too scared to wear them because the blisters they gave me were so painful.

They fit great and are super cute. However they cut the back of my ankle really bad, I had tried wearing it with socks, and it still cut through...even with socks the blood sipped through....I've had Toms before and never had this issue, I had wear them multiple times and I'm about to give out, I can't seem to "break them in" :(
