Great travel shoe

I liked the old design better which had stitching go over the toe not around

The sales person was very informative and helpful

A little clunky, but the waterproof and built comfort are preeminent.

Like everything except the size is off. It feels 1/2 size bigger compared to all other Johnston&Murphy shoes I have had over the last 19 years. I have always been a size 10 so I just went ahead and got these without really trying them on. Now I feel the heels slipping a lot. If I tried a short sprint in the backyard playing with the dogs the shoes would fall off immediately. I wish I could return them for a 9 1/2 but I have been wearing them so that probably won't happen. I now wear smart wool trekking socks with these shoes. Kind of works I guess.

Great shoe, but hard to find a size that isn't too tight or doesn't slip when walking. Definitely prefer lace up. This is still a high quality comfortable shoe that you would expect from Johnston & Murphy.

I bought these shoes to wear with khakis. To me they look more stylish than the typical cushioned sole casual shoe with top stitching that seem pretty ubiquitous. Though they are light they have sufficient heft to absorb impact shock when walking. Unlike other casual shoes I have tried they accomplish this without feeling bouncy.

I love johnston murphy shoes, and I get it but I don't, if I want a pair of wide shoes I buy and have to pull the bottom insoles and they are wide enough but I also need the pad in the bottom because then the bottom of the shoe is to hard for my feet, uncomfortable. I"m at a loss as I struggle to find. I have returned them

These are really great shoes, I have gotten three pairs, I wish the soles were stronger. I wear them to the office, but still, have to walk a little on gravel and they don't hold up with gravel. But I still like them.

Bought both black & brown. Wore black 1 day at work and a piece of the sole became loose. Will be returning both, as I don't want to deal with this issue if it happens again in the future. Will look for a shoe with 1 continuous sole.

Ok but not as comfortable, fashionable, or versatile as the bicycle' slip on shoe that you no longer make - shopping around.

I love these shoes because of the way they grab and hold my foot. I'm on ny feet 8hrs daily and they are very comfortable. I own a black and brown pair. So why 3 stars? The brown pair the finish/dye comes off easily with very minor abrasions. I've only worn these shoes twice! I only recommend the black.

Shoes are great- as always, I love J&M products. However, I was really surprised by the smell when I opened the box. I thought it would pass but it is still there and actually fills the room. I presume it will ultimately fade but it is unpleasant. It must be the sole or the leather treatment because it does not smell like leather.

I was sold a display shoe for full price. Is that standard procedure?

The shoe is extremely comfortable, however, the stitching comes out quickly, the liner pops out when removing foot, and the lining near the heel comes apart after first wear. I am on my second pair in two days and about to either exchange or return for refund.

This is the second pair of shoes I ordered because the first pair had a leather defect. I had to shine the second pair twice before wearing them because the finish on them was subpar. They fit/feel fine. However, I wouldn't order them again because of the issues I had with both new pairs of shoes. Not the JM quality I was previous used to.

The fit and feel are great - it's my fifth pair. The online photos make the shoe color look much darker (brownish/dark tan) which is what I wanted. The shoe color is actually much lighter and closer to (light tan), which is not what I wanted.

I have been buying these same shoes for years. This newest pair is not breaking in and becoming more comfortable. I think they may have gone to a lesser grade of leather.

I have worn the shoes about 2-3 times and the leather has wrinkled making them look old. The solution recommended by the sales person does not do a good job at maintaining the shine or condition of the leather. Although all leather tends to wrinkle I did not expect this to happen so quickly.
