Currently awaiting my 3rd pair of this bootie in the Chestnut brown. I first bought the black a few weeks ago, loved the fit, comfort and looks so much I ordered it in grey. As another reviewer commented, and I agree that it really is the “perfect bootie”, at least for me! I am delighted with this boot for these reasons: it’s a low profile boot, does not chafe the front of my ankle, low, but not flat heel, soft/smooth leather, colors are beautiful, footbed is so supportive i’m not having to use my Powerstep orthotic inserts until I need to replace original Hushpuppy footbed, it is an unadorned classic short boot, with quality construction. Always remember that a well made, shoe/boot that fits your foot NEVER has to be “broken in”. I always read reviews on items I’m interested in and inevitably run across that term so just wanted to say my 2 cents worth. Never having worn booties before I am glad I found the perfect one in my first selection. Kudos to Hush Puppies, and thanks to Zappos for sale price on the Chestnut color!

I love everything about this bootee. I got the blue and it is exactly the color I was thinking of. Nice round toe, just right heel height. Impact absorbent sole. The weight could be lighter but it's not heavy either. Insole is good if you don't need anything extra--pretty thick under the heel which is nice. I need custom medical orthotics but since the insole is removable that's no problem. I like very much that the working zipper is on the outside, since as a world class overpronator, often my ankle will be irritated when it rolls onto an inside zipper. I have slim ankles, so the folds inside the working zipper did not bother me. In face if I have one criticism of this shoe it's that the ankle is a little loose and so not as supportive as it could be. I've yet to try it with socks, so that will probably help. I won't be walking miles over cobblestones in these but I should be able to to go out in the world and not wear sneakers now and again.

Cute boot, but just not comfortable for me for some reason. The great thing about Zappos, though, is that you can order, try on at home, and return what doesn't work with free shipping both ways. I live in a rural area and this phenomenal service is a HUGE perk for me. Thanks Zappos!

One of two pairs of shoes I brought w/me on a 10-day trip to EU. Wear a size 7, ordered a size 7 wide for my bunions, and they fit as expected. No break-in period needed. I wanted a cute, stylish shoe to wear w/pants or dress, but something I could also wear all day long. Very, very comfortable and supportive with or without socks. Added my own insole because I was worried about so much walking (averaging 8 mi/day). I remember Hush Puppies from when I was a kid. They're still great!

They fit and feel just great all around, width and length and are very comfortable. I have a high arch that needs support and these are super.

These shoes are perfect!! Cute short boots with really cute style, and fantastic comfort!! I want them in every color!!

This is the second pair of Hushpuppies I've purchased and they fit great! I usually wear a 9 1/2 W or a 10. My feet are wide in the front but narrow through the heel, so I usually need a little extra room through the toes. These fit well, but without a lot of extra room, although I'm sure I could stretch them some. I wore them yesterday, all day, and didn't feel the need to take them off the minute I got home. They aren't the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn, but I have no complaints. I do like that they hit a little lower than many ankle boots/booties. They work better with my body shape.

The boots were perfect in length and probably true in width. I have a narrow foot, but with the addition of a little thicker sock, they fit fine.

These 'Mazin Cayto' booties are truly amazing. Beyond comfortable and fantastic true to size fit for me! They were on the upper end of pricing for me, but worth every penny! Great looking and feeling!

I haven't worn this shoe yet but I'm looking forward to it. I wear a 7-1/2 medium width and the shoe felt good when I tried it on. I plan on applying a protectorant first as snow is on the ground. I ordered the blue and really am pleased with the color. I had ordered other brands, more expensive, but they didn't fit for one reason or another. I think I will get a lot of wear out of this boot. It isn't a brand I usually buy but I may need to take another look.

These are lovely! They are more comfortable that most boots. It is true that the peace of leather that protects the feet from the zipper is an overkill. But I think it's fixible by carefully cutting it. These are more casual and have a more youthful feel. I was looking for something to go to work and even thought they are lovely, they are not what I need. I'll go for a pair from Clarkes that look a bit more grown up.

After many searches, I am glad I went with these Hush Puppies Mazin Cayto ankle boots. They ARE the most comfortable "new" shoes I've ever had! I just may have to buy them in more colors!

Had to go up a half size but I have super wide feet. Stylish and comfortable. Happy to find a bootie that fits wide feet.

These may be the most comfortable shoes I own! They fit true to size and go with almost everything. I am ordering a pair in dark brown nubuck, as well. I love these!

Generously sized. Super comfortable. I have a big, wide foot, but these shoes did not make my feet look big and clunky. They are definite keepers.

When I find a shoe I like, I buy multiple pairs as I am a hard fit due to a HIGH INSTEP. These shoes I purchased in: Leopard, Brown and Blue Faux Suede all feel great. The "Smoke" was a bit too tight and cut slightly higher on the instep of one foot. **HUSH PUPPIES made a great **comeback due to the fact they are a QUALITY SHOE. In the process of hand-making shoes a fraction of an inch can make a difference. I have now ordered 7 more pairs for me, (not the gray), plus a couple for gifts for a friend who is also a hard fit with her plantar fasciitis ... As they don't come in half sizes above size 7, we will see if they work for her -- being gifted-- yet with a quite different variance, as well as they have for me. IF anyone who is a reader of books has read; "The Tipping Point", by Malcolm Gladwell, they may understand how items such as these, (**Hush Puppies), become once again, popular. Best of luck to all. AND, I WISH ZAPPOS would BRING BACK their SEARCH BY KEYWORD(S); it would save a percentage of us a great deal of time. IF you AGREE, please let Zappos know. TY!

Nice-looking boots and comfortable enough, but in my experience Nubuck gets dirty quickly and looks old, so I decided to return these in favor of a polished leather bootie that I can polish if it gets dirty.

Cute shoe - just does not fit well enough to be comfortable. Disappointed that I won't be keeping it.

Liked the boot, but it was too big. Ending up finding it in the right size in a different color for a lot less elsewhere.

Great bootie, just not for me. It was a little more clunky, if yo will, than what I am looking for. Nothing wrong with the style, but I already have something similar so was looking for something a little more girly, if that makes sense.

Cute shoes, but unfortunately, I must return them. I have bunions and really need an ample toe box. These were almost wide enough, but still a bit too tight. The innersoles have a bumpy feel. You can feel it on your feet when you walk. That might be a problem.

Cute boot. The interior zipper is non-functional. The other zipper opens, but with a backing so it does not spread fully. Too tight for a high instep.

Really cute booties! Unfortunately, previous reviewers accurately stated that the "for appearances only" zipper get-up is very uncomfortable on the inside of the shoe. One might somehow glue the material down to keep the folder suede from rubbing, but to me it was not worth the work and uncertainty of a suitable outcome.

Very cute bootie. Beautiful blue leather. Only the outer zipper is functional, and it doesn't open fully - it just opens a little wedge of space. Could not get on easily with my high instep. Wish both the zippers worked. Made in India.

These were not comfortable for me. Not enough cushioning and padding on the insole nor enough arch support. They’re usually is not enough art support for me I do wear quarter inch additional pads and all my shoes. But even with this they didn’t feel good.
