Bought these for 2 day powerboat course as its freezing out on the water in Cornwall and sailing wellies can draw the heat from your feet. Did the job feet were toasty warm wish I had worn a pair on my hands. I will be using these whilst sailing until the weather warms up.

I own 14 pairs of Smartwools, from light hikers to ski. These are hands down the best socks money can buy. My first pair, circa 2003, are still in service. How do you beat that kind of durability. Granted, I don't wear them everyday but I wear them often.

I have become a big fan of Smartwool socks since I first tried them in 2005. Even though I know they're wool, my feet don't know it - great comfort without any itch. My whole opinion of wool has changed. I have used these socks for many years - since 2005. They are definitely a heavy sock well suited to a long multi-day backpacking trip with a medium to heavy pack wearing sturdy boots (however, definitely lighter than the Smartwool Mountaineering sock). They wear well and offer good cushioning. You would probably only use them for day hiking if you were wearing heavier boots and going cross-country over uneven/rugged terrain. For day hiking with lighter boot/shoes, I prefer the Smartwool Hike medium crew. Both these socks offer enough "give" that you can easily wear a liner sock if you so desire.

Both these socks offer enough "give" that you can easily wear a liner sock if you so desire.

I have worn Smart Wool socks for a number of years. It was time for new ones. They're easy to put on and very comfortable.

Hard to believe that the same socks I bought 20 years ago are still my favorites, although they have inevitably gotten a little thinner at the toes. Getting 3 pairs of new ones (nice colors, too) at age 70 reaffirms my desire to grow old in good health and comfort. I've given these socks as 'special' presents to my nearest and dearest, and they are almost always the most celebrated.

I have Raynaud's & am sensitive to the cold. These socks were recommended to me by my doctors.

great socks, use for hiking and cold weather wear. no piithing, has held up very great.

I prefer a breathable and thicker sock. These are absorbent and very comfortable. A sock I'm proud of when the shoes come off at a gathering.

Working outdoors & on my feet walking about 5 miles daily. Socks not only have excellent cushion but keep my feet warm all day

Good service and delivery. Wear the socks with boots. Socks do not deteriorate and come apart stuck in your toes. Socks last a long time. They do pill after being washed.

This product is perfect for wearing around in the house or during an outdoor sporting event. It's the pair I grab when temperatures are below zero.

Use sock with liner sock for hiking. No more blisters coming down mountain

We use these socks while we work on the farm and play when we go for a hike.

I love the quality of the wool

My boyfriend got hooked on Smartwool a few years back after I first purchased several pairs for Christmas. I tried these for him this year and he loves the comfortable fit and warmth they offer. He wears them for work and play, and has been more than satisfied with function and fit. I am sure there will be more in his future!

Use with Boots

Purchased as a Christmas gift for my boyfriend who ALWAYS has cold feet no matter the season. He loves these for the warmth and comfort and uses them mostly at night while lounging on the couch. I got him hooked on Smartwool and we are both so very pleased with all of the products we have purchased!

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter. Living in the north east it gets cold in the winter. She loved the softness of these socks and the quality.
