Unable to use these because after the first wash they had a giant hole in the toe.

I have worn this exact style and thickness for many years and now they are too thin for hiking. Basically they are of no use to me. Sorry to see the quality go.

I typically don't write bad reviews however I'm so disappointed in these socks I feel compelled to write this one. I've worn these socks at the most 4 times and there are major holes in the heels of both socks. The only activity I was doing while wearing them was walking. I thought it might just be a bad pair but I bought two pairs and they are both the same way. I'm sure this is not typical of the entire product line because I hear good things about Smart Wool.
