My husband has cold feet year round despite us living in Southern California. He tried several styles/makers of wool socks and found that these socks keep his feet warm without getting too warm or sweaty. We then purchased three pair so he’ll have enough between washes. These socks fit his foot length well (he tried Darn Tough socks, but they were too long in the foot despite trying different styles). These socks have a nice thickness to them, but he is able to put on his sneakers without the socks making them too tight. The socks have good construction so that they fit well and the cuffs stay put. This is the most we’ve ever paid for socks, but after wearing them—and reading others’ reviews about their long term experience with these socks—we anticipate that these socks are a good investment for years to come.

We were buying another brand of wool sock for my husband and both socks look very similar on the outside until you turn them inside out to wash them. I have always purchased Smartwool socks but now my husband can see and feel the difference. First, the Smartwool socks have a size woven into the inside tops. This is great because his socks now look a lot like mine. Second, the foot area looks more padded and better woven than brand X. Third, the band keeping the socks up looks more sturdy. I am certain he will get much better wear out of the Smartwool socks than brand X.

These socks are perfect for the outdoor enthusiasts and outdoor workers. The thickness is just right to allow your feet to breathe properly. I have used these in 30-60 weather. My feet did not overheat during a 10 hour period, constant movement. To add to it, they are my most comfortable outdoor sock.

These are my favorite-est socks ever. They fit perfect. They aren't too tight but magically stay where I want them. These socks make me so happy!

My feet are perma-cold. The only time they are warm is right after a shower. These socks help trap heat and keep my feet warm. I like wearing them to bed on cold nights and in the morning when it’s still chilly in my house. I plan on getting a few pairs of these because they’ve become my go-to socks while working from home.

I've owned several pairs of these Smartwool socks over the years, and I love their feel, warmth, and overall comfort. I wear them as slippers in cool weather and as socks in the winter. I've gone up from a medium to a large this year so my second toe, which has gotten longer, has the room it needs. In August I gave a pair to my son and to my daughter-in-law; the looks on their faces said it all! Success in gift giving!

So thick and warm.

I bought a pair of these many years ago and just recently had to replace them due to wear. I use the light weight for everyday sneaker wear, medium weight for general hiking and heavy weight for cold weather and as indoor slippers on wood floors. Extremely comfortable (fit well, not too tight or too loose, and don't bunch). Great early wear comfort and they last a very long time. I only wish I bought different colors for the different weights so I can more easily tell them apart.

Wear size 11 wide men's shoes. The fit of a large was great. Good warmth, good padding.

Warm and comfortable socks! Very cushioning. I wear with some Alegria mary-jane shoes I have that were a little too big and now they fit comfortably and my feet are warm and cozy.
