My son tried on several pairs of dress shoes and these were the best-fitting, most comfortable. Very well-priced and feel like real shoes, which other Florsheims didn't always.

Florsheim is a very old and established company, which I remember fondly as the makers of many pairs of dress shoes from my youth. These did not disappoint. Out of 4 pairs I tried from Zappos, I purchased these, partly because I could order them wider than a D. D was the width recommended by Zappos based on my foot measurements, but clearly was not correct, because each of the other 3 pairs I returned was a D width, and all were too narrow across the toes. These shoes are just a little too wide, and extend nearly 3 inches past my toes, but they are very comfortable to wear, and do not appear so much like skis as the Calvin Klein pair I tried. They were comfortable in my first half day of wearing them, and should go nicely with my tux for singing on stage.

Immediately, I could tell these shoes would be very comfortable moving forward. There was no doubt that I would be keeping them. I have very wide feet and the Florsheim Midtown shoes provided enough room where I didn't feel like my feet were being squeezed on its sides. The arch support is good and the back of the ankle where the opening of the shoe rests has no discernible discomfort. I put these shoes through their paces the first time wearing them because I had to walk and stand nearly the entire day wearing them. Although my feet hurt midways through the day, I think that would be the case for any shoe. What was more telling was I had no back pain wearing the Florshiem Midtown shoes. That's important to me because my lower back will bother me just from standing and walking. I think these shoes give me enough flexibility, as a teacher, to be able to wear them throughout the day, with a lot of walking, crouching on tip toes and standing. I will be looking to buy another pair in brown shortly.

These ran large, so we reorder half size smaller. Very nice for wedding!

Very, very comfortable shoe right out of the box. True to size. I ordered the extra wide and it's perfect for my wide foot. I recommend this shoe. I purchased both black and brown colors.

I love Florsheim and these do not disappoint. I had a pair very similar to these more than 10 years ago. They didn’t last as long, but they were comfortable. These seem more well made and they were comfortable right out of the box. Perfect for a long day in the office.

These were absolutely fabulous shoes and the only reason they were returned is that the hue was just a little off for the wedding attire for my son. Very excited to have rediscovered this brand of shoe for other purchases.
