I returned it since it wasn't going to work for when I ski. I needed something more warmer.

When putting on coat. I wish it had better sleeves for the inside liner coat. I always have to pull them back in place. the simple snap does not do the trick to help keep it from getting out of the outside coat shell.

I ordered this jacket because I'm a bigger girl and do not fit into the woman's plus sizes. I got the 3xl in January and have already sent it back. I had spilled coffee on the jacket (I had only worn it less than a handful of times) and had to throw it in the washer. I followed the instructions to the T. Somehow, the zipper melted (I washed in cold water) and made a hole in the shell. I called Northface customer service to see what could be done. I was aware of the Lifetime warranty but not too familiar. The representative was amazing and sent me a label within 2 minutes so that I could send my coat back. I sent it back and once the coat was received, my new coat was shipped overnight. I wish all companies were like this. As for the fit, it is quite comfortable. Very lightweight and perfect for the weird weather we are having in Chester County, PA. (literally today is 72 degrees and Friday we are expecting snow) The sleeves and the length of the coat is a little on the long side, but again this coat is made for a man. I think it is for someone with height. I lack in that department. As a result, I would highly, highly recommend any Northface jacket as well as this one. You've made a lifetime customer out of me.

Needed a good travel jacket that will work in cold as well as humid rainy conditions. When I got the jacket I was surprised how thin it was. I was expecting a larger jacket. However after trying it on it's very comfortable. the strengths of this jacket is the removable inner liner so 1 jacket will server you in a large variety of conditions, Is it a COLD weather jacket? no. I would not go to Alaska in this jacket in winter, I expect the main strength of this jacket is temps from 25 degrees F to a summer rain jacket (with liner removed) that is easily packed away when not needed. If your going out in 30 degree weather (football game), you might get cold after while. think of it as a all around travel jacket. No single jacket is perfect for skiing and also for humid rain, so don't try to find a one size fits all conditions jacket. However this jacket is perfect for my travel needs. So think of it as a nice travel jacket but if you want warmth for snow skiing, look elsewhere. Using the size chart on the web site worked perfectly. I was honest on my weight, height, and body type and the jacket is a perfect fit.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)

I bought this for my slender framed, 6'2" husband who wears a L in most everything as far as shirts, sweatshirts/fleece, and jackets go. It was the right length, but it was definitely too tight in the arms (at the time he was wearing a button down underneath, so nothing thick). It might be good to size up, this one has to go back for us. I think with the right fit this would be a great jacket.

I bought this product for 2 purposes: winter wear with the liner Cruise to Alaska where the weather could be cold or mild - the zip out liner could be removed for milder wet weather.

I ordered another jacket and it was too big, returned a big medium and got a small which was perfect, and so I just ordered a small and it fits great. I think the liner jacket is a little thinner than i expected, but the biggest thing is sometimes if you hand gets bunched in the end of the sleeve where the liner jacket snaps in to the outer one, it can unsnap and whip you... stung a little, so now i certainly take more time with the sleeves. I do like this, it is just a little lighter than i expected, but very very warm

I use the jacket casually.... It's very stylish. Only thing I would change about it is thickness and length, especially in the back and sleeves. Otherwise it's a great jacket.

I loved the jackets. At first, I wished the inside piece was a bit heavier, but I grew to like it. It is very fashionable and extremely comfortable. It is also surprisingly lightweight and breathable. It is very warm when it needs to be, though.

I needed a jacket to wear in cold Michigan weather. After several weeks of search we narrowed down couple of brands which fits in budget and started looking at the technical details. North face 3 in 1 jacket were out of our budget at that point. After weeks of search and looking into technical details of under $150 jackets got us to nowhere. finally I happen to see this Jacket in a store and I liked it. it was stylish. technical details and fabric was up to the mark and can withstand good amount of punishment that comes from hiking and trailing in dense forest. Overall good jacket but there are few improvements that I noticed: 1. Plastic buttons that ties inner jacket sleeves with out jacket is very week. its often opens and sleeves get disoriented and require some effort to adjust 2. Hands feel cold while using side pockets of outer jacket. its because outer layer get cold and there is no separation or cloth layer between jacket pocket. that is a real discomfort. so I prefer to put my hands in my pants pockets. My wife and I have planned a DIY hack for this. she is going to put a fleece layer inside. that would solve the problem. I hope North face look into these comments and improve the next version of our favorite jacket.

I love the jacket and would buy it again. Really, my only complaints are that it's too big. Website recommended a 3x, I got a 2x, and I should have gotten a 1x. The snaps that keep the fleece inside the raincoat snap open easily, so I've made a habit of taking the jacket off by pinching the rain coat and fleece together before pulling my arm out.

I bought this after looking for a few months but the material of TNF is so much better than Columbia or Spyder Etc... Amazingly water proof, not as thick as I did expect the under coat to be a little higher quality to be honest but great up to -35 or so with a soft shell in it. No snow skirt on the button so that's kinda annoying but didn't really expect one... In all I will be a NORTH FACE customer for life after buying my first three coats !

The 3 in 1 jacket is perfect for the transition from fall to winter. With varying weather in the state I live, the jacket serves our purpose well.

The green version is very versatile. I am a professional and often wear it on wet, windy days. I am 6'1" and the length and sleeve length are practically perfect. I weigh 295 and the size medium nailed it. So glad To have this jacket.

I like this jacket because it gives me the ability to be in the rain (Seattle is home), and when it's not raining, I have an awesome fleece jacket to sport around. The problem is that the rain jacket is much bigger, which is a small issue. The fleece, on the other hand, fits like a charm. Too bad they don't make rain jackets that are true to size and snuggle.
