I have these in the red, which are sold on this site still as "Leadville." These are a big improvement over the previous version (at least for me). This is a low, firm, wide-toed, grippy trail shoe. I use it in Northern California (Dipsea, Tilden). These shoes will stick to the trail even in very steep soft dirt over hardpack. They are on the firm side (with superfeet), which is to say they are designed for the abuse of distance running on rocks. I can confirm that these are a rounder, roomier toebox than the last version. Side to side this v3 in a 15D is roomier than the previous 15EE. That is mostly due to the shape of the box. The older shoe has a pointier profile. It is just one of those updates where I say,"they made the perfect shoe for me." I have flat feet from fallen arches, so I need a round toebox to accomodate a middle tow that extends level with my big toe.

I compared three different shoes – my old low hikers, they competing brand and this product.I tested the grip of the soles on a plastic chair mat and the Leadville was as good as my hikers. Plus the Leadville is about 30% lighter than my hikers. I experimented with a half size larger than I normally purchase and I'm glad so that I would have room for my orthotics plus, if I desire, thicker socks. But, even with a thinner sack the lacing allows for good compression. I do think the laces are a bit longer than necessary – I have to double or triple knot them.

This will be the fourth pair of Leadville v3 running shoes. I also have them in red/orange, blue, and black/lime. They are the lightest, and most comfortable pairs of shoes I have ever worn. I wear 7EE. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to find this size, since no retail outlets carry 7EE?

Purchased a pair for a first 50K trail run. Have been running in them for a little over 150 miles and just love them! Initially did notice heel slipping but it is a non-issue. I just make sure I have my heel all the way flush to the back of the shoe and firmly tie my laces. 880v6 10D is my choice of road shoes, and after trying it on a 25K trail run, felt that I needed something with more cushion/support for when I step on rocks etc. Based on more experienced trail runners' advice, I ordered the wide (2E) and the extra room initially concerned me. However, after running up and down some steeper hills and on roads as well, the shoe feels great and traction is awesome.

These are my favorite shoes of all time. I have bought three pairs now. I use them to train on mountain trails and hike 14,000 foot peaks. They support my feet and orthotics like a glove. They have a cushion like feel. Simply my favorite shoes ever.

These shoes are really comfortable! They are true to size and so comfortable I could wear them as much as my other pair of everyday New Balance (1080 fresh foam).

This was the 1st pair of Leadville V3 2E that I bought. Look good but felt a little snug. Exchanged them for a 4E and have been very happy with them since. Looking forward to new designs and new colors.

I hiked my second Camino de Santiago in these and I am about to buy my second pair of this shoe. They are that exceptional. My first Camino I wore another brand and those wore holes through them. These are going strong - so strong, I run in them now. You read that correct - I hiked over 500 miles in them, and now use them as running shoes. Without question the best shoe - running, hiking or otherwise that I've ever owned.

This is the 3rd straight pair of Leadville V3s that I have purchased. The fit is great, they're very durable, and if you are like me and want your shoes to yell "LOOK AT ME!!!", you're in luck.

So, I got these because I needed a good trail shoe and shamelessly because they just look cool and have the Leadville name tied to them. Anyone that runs ultras, knows what that it means. Red / Lava color scheme looks great as do the Light Blue. The performance of the shoe is Great! I appreciate that the outsole does not have what I call SPCD (small pebble capture device), the open spaces that rocks can get lodged into and stay. The tread is aggressive yet not too big. Works great even on wet monadnocks in South Carolina and North Carolina, Granite domes. Laces are good length and have had no slippage inside the shoe or on the ground. Just completed a 22 mile run on Pinnacle Mtn, Sassfras Mtn, Pinnacle, Table Rock. No Blisters and feel great. Good Performance, and Aesthetics. Highly Reccomend.

Very happy with this sneaker. I wear a size 13 or 14. I bought this sneaker in a size 14. I weigh about 300 lbs so I definitely needed a shoe that has good support. Feels very comfortable when I'm walking on the track. A good buy for the Big and Tall Guys.

I have wide, flat feet, so finding comfortable shoes in general is not easy, especially running shoes. These shoes are built tough, looks great, and are extremely comfortable, both for wide feet and comfy sole cushioning.

Really happy with these shoes. I wanted a shoe I could "beat to hell" in the gym and know that when I'm walking the dog outside, I will still have that same support and comfort. They're even good with ice and snow, giving me a solid grip on the ground. Highly recommended.

Comfortable shoes that breath really well. I wear these hiking and they really are great for the trails. Super squishy souls and thin as paper tongue. I've had them for a few months now and they're still going strong. The blue is a very bright electric blue.

These shoes are fantastic. True to size. Very comfortable and supportive as well. Plus they have a Vibram sole. How could you wrong? I highly recommend these.

I have had the Leadville v3 for a few weeks now. They're extremely comfortable and light. I haven't worn anything but New Balance in the last 15 years and the fit and comfort are always great.

These shoes are great, but they run really small. My husband wears 9 1/2, but I got him a 10. It was really small, and not by just a little. I have reordered an 11.

these are insanely comfortable. the amount of padding is unbelievable. i bought them for my husband who is 6'6" and is on his feet all day. he wears them all the time . my brother was so jealous of them that I had to order him a pair as well. my husband gets compliments on them all the time . it is the first pair of new balance he's worn and he is now a believer .

Comfortable fit, good traction. I haven't tested it yet on extremely muddy or snowy surfaces, but it works well for general trail conditions.

The Leadville V3 is my go to trail shoe whether it is a local trail community fun run, a training run or a race. They are also my go to hiker. I really like the Vibram soles and the amount of room in the toe box.
