I bought these for my husband to wear at the SEMA convention. This is a HUGE convention and he spent 6 to 8 hours per day walking in these shoes. Brand new, straight out of the box, he said that these are the most comfortable shoes he has ever owned. He can be difficult to fit with his tall foot, high arch, but these fit perfectly. They are that rare combination of good cushioning and reasonable stability that makes a really terrific shoe. Styling is also nice and the laces stay tied.

this is my third pair of leadville shoes and I'm a big fan. this year i've run the rocky raccoon 100, cruel jewel 100 and pinhoti 100. all with leadviille's almost right out of the box. that just work for me in terms of size, comfort, ability to handle some road if necessary. my only minor complaint is that i think this one had some kind of new lace that was much more likely to come untied so i'll probably switch out some of the old ones in the new shoes.

I have had leg problems all my life and finally discovered it was all about the shoes. These shoes are perfect for my running type. Normally I take the shoes off immediately after my run but with these I forget they are even on.

can someone please tell me the difference between this shoe and the Vazee Summit Trail? And which one they would recommend for obstacle course racing? Thank You

Fantastic shoes. I'm a big guy so my feet take a real beating especially in the trails but with the firm fit and rugged build of the Leadville's my feet come out of the woods smelling like a rose. Well that may be an exageration but my feet don't hurt. The Vibram sole provides the grip needed for rocks roots and rubble so I can besure not to slip. The colors are fun and my kids aren't embarrassed by my white or grey grandpa shoes. I am on pair 3 and will continue to cycle more in as long as they are available.

I do trail running and these shoes have amazing traction on steep downhills. Great fit and comfortable. If you need a trail running shoe these are by far the best i have ever owned.

The D, which feels wider than it used to,wasn't available so I had to get a 2e. It's a little wide but still ok. I love the Leadville trail shoes.

Great shoes for avid trail runner. Best for those with wider feet. I own the Leadville V2s and these felt slightly larger and wider at first fit. I got 9.5 and EE size and these felt like EEE. Ended up tying shoes a little tighter and it worked out fine. Arch support is ok but always replace with SuperFeet insoles to have more aggressive supports. Overall, a great trail running shoe for moderately technical terrain.

I love my new shoes which I have had for a week. They seem a tad bit loose, but I can fix that with the laces. I believe they are lighter than the weight listed which is even better!

Received lots of compliments on these shoes but most importantly they're comfortable. I wear orthotics and need a wide shoe. New Balance is very hit and miss on their widths 4E's vary a great deal throughout their SKU's. These are finally wide enough.

This is a great shoe for the trail as well as pavement. They wear really well under heavy use and comfortable. The vibram soles make the difference.

Having suffered through a spell of plantar fasciitis and finally getting right, I can say these shoes look great, give support in the right places and are well cushioned for comfort. I will buy again.

this is my second par of leadville v3 in six months.I wore the first pair for the Rocky Raccoon 100 in Feb 2016 and wound up w my second best time ever at that distance, running 23 hours. Lack of foot issues was a big part of that and i credit the shoes. smooth, comfortable, perfect. I just completed the Cruel Jewel 100 (actually 106) and went back to this shoe and it was definitely the right choice. I did have some blister issues, caused by socks, because there was so much elevation change (33k of up and 33k of down) but the shoes were definitely the right call. Im a huge fan and will be back for more!

The Leadville V3 are very comfortable. I have a wide foot and New Balance always fits me best. I take them out of the box and start wearing them for long runs and walks and they are just plain comfortable.

I love these shoes! I have used them at work (Nursing home) as well as walking, aerobic exercise, and running and they are great for all. I have very wide feet and hate wearing socks and/or shoes. The light thin fabric is wonderful and feels like a stretchy glove. The only thing I would change is a slightly roomier toe area.

I've purchased these shoes for myself in both the red and lime green colors. And I love them so much for their comfort style and durability that I know NEW BALANCE has built into them, that I purchased a pair for my hubby and I'm planning to buy him a pair of the lime green version also.....Love these shoes seems like an understatement...I'm crazy about these shoes.

I've owned all three versions of the Leadvilles and have loved all of them, this version being my favorite so far. The v3's are a little lighter than the v2's and I feel like maybe a little bit more noticeable stability. I run 30+ miles a week and these are great for the longer (and shorter runs). Unless you're running extreme distances where your foot might swell a lot, I would recommend going down a half size (I normally wear a 9.5 and I got these in a 9). I go pretty rough on my trail shoes and these are lasting really well, very durable. Highly recommended.

Solid trail shoe for running around Boulder. My main complaint is that NB did away with the extra eyelet. I have a wide forefoot. The shoe fits up there but tends to move around in the ankle are. The extra eyelet In the earlier model solved this problem. Please bring it back!

Guys, it's simple...there are many, many reviews on this shoe pointing out that the heal keep slipping...I tried many sizes, many lacing combinations...but still, the heal still too wide. For version 4 (or a fix for version 3). Please do something about it! I recommend you to look into how Salomon does their heals for Salomon Sense Pro 2...those things are amazing!!! However, they don't make wides; thus, I came to NB for a solution...almost there. By the way, once fixed, I wouldn't be upset if you sent me a free trial pair :)

I have ran in the Leadville for a few years now and have owned six pairs. For the most part, they are excellent shoes. I like the availability of widths, water shedding ability, and neoprene inner sleeve. What I found on my most recent purchase of two pairs of 9 4E was that they were an 1/8" longer than my previous pairs-and did not fit well. I returned them, opting for an 8.5 4E-too small. After a series of other shoe trials, to no avail, I re-ordered the Leadville 9 4E thinking I would have to make due. Oddly, these fit like a glove and they were identical size to my worn out pairs. Still scratching my head over this issue.
