Very roomy but comfortable. liked the shoe a lot but doesn't seem to fit my style

Good looking well built chukka boot. I bought them as a replacement for the Clark's Desert boots I normally where. These are a little dressier, and I am still getting use to these due to the more pronounced heel compared to the Clarks. Definitely size down a half or full size. I normally wear a 10.5 in most shoes, which sometimes are a little long on me, but normally ok because I like a little extra width. So for these, I ended up keeping 9.5 W, which still are just a little sloppy. I wouldn't mind trying the 9.5 or 10 medium if I wanted to try to order a couple more pairs. If you are looking for a wider chukka boot, then consider trying on 2-3 sizes of these to see if you can get a good fit. I bought these in the Chocolate/Brown Suede which has a distressed toe, but very attractive and I think goes well with slightly darker brown, tan, or gray chinos. Good luck!

shoe seemed weak in support

The heel pocket is too big for the size.. The 'leather' looks cheap...

I bought these for my husband for Christmas. He is normally 10-10.5W so I ordered 10W based on reviews. They were still too big so we exchanged for 9.5W. Even these were too big! Order at least a half, maybe full size down. Decent looking, but huge.

I am a true men's 7EE. This shoe is a 1/2 size longer than shown. The Wide width is perfect for a EE.

I debated between these and the Johnston & Murphy casual chukka and ultimately chose the later. These were slightly narrow in the toe box but I did order a 10, usually I wear 10.5 (which is what I ordered for the Johnston and Murphy chukka). Maybe next time Rockport, maybe next time.

Bought these a year and a half ago and loved them... So I ordered two more paper and disappointed in the color. Looks terrible compared to the photos and the ones I received in the past. Color was too dark and even.

Can’t honestly recommend. Shoes do look great out of the box, but soles are very poorly made and began to deteriorate after 1 month. After the soles start going shoes got very loud, so definitely not good for being sneaky. Additionally, insoles should be replaced immediately, which would realistically add $40 to the purchase price. Would be thrilled if these last 6 months. Not likely to buy Rockport again.

Beautiful shoe. Runs very large. Ordered 15 ,my usual size in other Rockports , returned it. Got 14s. Still sloppy. Sending them back too. I give up.

I needed to replace a good pair pair of worn Bogs chukkas, and bought these because I though they would be the best of the limited options that suited my style. It's been a long time I bought a pair of Rockports--although I had several 15-20 years ago and was then a loyal Rockport fan. But I'm very disappointed in these: they've seemly repositioned themselves from upper-middle tier that you found in better shoe stores to "only slightly better than Wal-Mart" quality. as an inexpensive brand of mediocre quality. They were light--too lightly built--and the leather outer is incredibly thin and looks almost like plastic. They're not very comfortable, either--the uppers are bound up with artificial materials and don't give like a nice full grain leather upper would. I'm going to keep them, because I couldn't find anything else that was better suited and had the right styling, but I don't imagine they'll last a year (unlike the Bogs they're replacing, which have lasted over 5 years of hard wear, and which would have lasted a few more if there hadn't been an...accident. I'd buy again if Bogs hadn't changed their styling to something I dislike). Hopefully I'll get just enough life out of this disappointing pair of boots so that styles will change again and I can find a pair of higher quality chukkas I like in a year or two.

Laces are cheap and shoe does not tighten enough to fit comfortably. Felt like it was coming off. overall appearance looked very nice and good weight.

Mainly did not like the shiny leather finish.
