The perfect shoe? I have a bunion and arthritic toe, necessitating a shoe with really good support and a wide foot bed. I bought a pair of these in navy last year and they are so comfortable. I think it is the thick vibram sole. Nothing compares. So I just bought them in brown and black as well! (Shhhh!) They are comfortable enough to wear as my go to shoe. And really cute as well. Just love this shoe!

I normally wear a 6 so I bought the 5 1/2 - 6 in US sizes. They were very roomy on my foot and will be perfect with thicker socks. I purchased these to wear on a cruise leaving from Canada, going to Seattle and then San Francisco. These shoes were truly comfortable and ready to wear right out of the box. They will be perfect for our excursions. I have also booked a tour to Europe next year and these are going to be my go to shoes for that trip also. To me they aren't the most attractive shoe I could wear, (I like my shoes to match my outfits) but as I will be hiking 2 - 8 miles a day, this is the shoe I want. They definitely do not require any breaking in. I am very happy with my purchase.

This is a wonderfully designed shoe. I own in in three other colors. Was hoping this to be red but it was more of a brown/brick color so returned it only because of the color. I wore another , the beige color for five weeks in India walking every day. The shoe stayed comfortable and remarkably clean too. I wish Dansko would make a bright red and or a silver.

The shoe was very comfortable right from the start ! I did remove the inner soul and replace with my custom orthotics for maximum comfort and support but the provided insert was also very supportive. I own many Dansko styles and I’ve only ever had issues with 2 styles. This style is very light and even makes my foot look smaller! Love Zappos service because I returned a pair and ordered these and received them the next day !! I would highly recommend these for anyone with foot issues like myself or just for a great supportive walking shoe !!

I really needed to find a good support shoe, I’ve always gotten great support sandals from Dansko and I really needed something more supportive than some of their so-called sneakers, , this shoe is very supportive and has a great base, I have plantar fasciitis and terrible foot pain and I’m actually able to wear these all day long working out on our unfinished land picking up rocks and walking around in the dirt . I ruined mine in the red dirt of South Carolina so now they are only going to be used for outdoor work use. I’m going to buy a new pair to wear this fall and winter, I did take out the inserts to put in my own orthotics, although they feel very supportive with the inserts I don’t trust my feet not to use my orthotics, but they are awesome either way and have a wide toe base. I have a wide toe area and sensitive feet where I had bunion surgery, I honestly have not been able to wear anything as much as I can wear Dansko, I bought my normal shoe size that I normally buy with all my other Dansko’s. I love these shoes. One lady was complaining about how they slipped on a wet surface, honestly I don’t know a shoe that won’t slip on a wet surface, you just need to be more careful, what a ridiculous comment, if the shoe fits and feels good then wear it and be careful if it’s wet outside or on the steps .

I have a torn ligament (now scar tissue) in one foot and also flat feet.. This shoe is one of only two (the other being the Dansko Peggy) that I can wear all day long and not have foot pain by the end of the day. I love them!

A 42 wide in a clog fits me perfectly; the size 42 in this shoe is just as wide. I’m unsure of the arch support (which is what I really wanted) so I am hoping that since they’ve got the (natural arch support) that these shoes work.

This shoe was the best solution I could find for my plantar fascilitis. I am an active walker, hiker, and gardener who was about to be benched by painful feet. This shoe provides the support and stability I needed to stay active and I'm so glad I found it. It took many attempts with various styles and I appreciate Zappos service as well.

Loved these! They are waterproof and have a Vibram sole. They do make your foot look smaller. The navy is a great color. I have started wearing Dansko brand due to plantar fasciatis and need the extra toe box room. I wear a 10.5 US and the size 41 in these was a little short and cramped in the toe box for me. If not for those things, I would have kept them. Unfortunately, there were no larger size options available.

Excellent shoes for working outdoors. Very durable soles, nice wide toe box, easy to waterproof spray. Arch support is very good. These shoes add a lot of stability when working on uneven ground, and slip resistance when working on wet surfaces.

Great shoes (sporty style, room for orthodics, nice-sized toe-box but narrower in the heel so the shoes don't slip), but they squeak! Ordered a second pair hoping that it would be different, but the shoes had the same problem. Both pairs had to go back. Thank you Zappos for making that easy. Yesterday found the shoes locally -- no squeak.

Can't say enough about this shoe ... sooooo comfortable! ... warm and dry and excellent arch support that I desperately need in all of my shoes. Soft footbed. Sole doesn't feel like concrete, which can happen sometimes with shoes like these. I was looking for a winter sneaker in black. I am either a 41 or 42 in Dansko, I opt for 42 most of the time because the width fits me better, which means the shoes are just a smidge too long for me but it's worth it to me. The laces are extra long and have a tendacy to come undone so I have to double-knot them like I"m a kid. It's all OK. These are GREAT shoes.

They're cute, they're comfortable, they're well made. I wear a 9 and ordered a 39 and they fit great. I feel they're flattering and make my feet look smaller than they are, always a good thing! I work in a profession that allows me to wear casual shoes but I spend a lot of time on my feet and walking on concrete, these allow comfort on long days. A great buy!

I love them. When I first put them on, I was a little concerned that they might chafe or hurt. This was probably because I'm not used to wearing a closed toe shoe (most of the time I'm in my soft footbed Birks sandals). I was happily surprised that these Dansko black sneakers turned out to be totally comfortable, from day 1, with no problems at all. I'm a teacher/librarian and on my feet all day. I feel like I should by many more pairs just in case they ever get discontinued.

This shoe felt quite comfortable right out of the box. After long walks in it the heel still felt comfortable, but the ball of the foot area could have used a bit more cushion. The water proofing worked well in heavy rain until water got into the mesh part on the tongue of the shoe. Then the inside of the shoe did get wet. Overall I am very happy with these shoes.

I ordered this shoe in regular and wide widths. The shoe overall is very comfortable and attractive, though the cuff around the ankle could be slightly better padded. But very difficult to choose between the two widths, because the difference was not in the actual width of the sole (I measured, no difference). The difference was in forefoot/toe-box volume, and apparently, slightly, in the heel width. I need a narrow heel and wide forefoot, so the choice was hard. I'm keeping the wide width, and hoping that the more-than-needed volume in the forefoot doesn't turn out to be too much, and too loose. Dansko could be more transparent on what "wide" vs. "regular" width means.

I bought these shoes to wear hiking and to rainy cities on an extended Europe trip, and they really did the job. In fact, I plan on making this style one of the staple choices for my travels. They have really good traction, you can adjust how tight you need them with the laces, and they had similar comfort when walking as other great Dansko shoes. When the laces are loose they fit like the Professional…. When you tie it more snug, they feel like a hiking boot (and your foot stays put which is good for hills and hiking). The main reason I take points off though is the laces on these shoes…. Are too long, and lack traction. I have so much shoe lace leftover dangling after I tie them that I’ve had to tuck the laces in or triple knot it to make the length not drag on the ground. Further, when walking frequently the shoe loosens itself and I have to retie the shoes once or twice midday. It’s very odd, it’s like the laces lack grip once tied. I’d probably cut 5 inches off the shoe laces at least… and redesign their function if I was Dansko. Other than that, I love the shoe. I have the Walnut color, and I bought my normal size.

I bought these in black last year and they are my go-to every day shoes. I bought the brown and they look great but they are stiffer and less comfortable. I know, they’re new, but I did not go through an extreme break-in process with the black ones that I’m going through now.

The shoes are fine. I just decided to only keep the red ones. For me, arch support was not great but I have insoles. Thank you.

Fits great. Wished it was a little more stylish.

These are a great walking shoe and they fit my narrow feet. However, I am returning them because they are just a little boring for summer. I would love to see some new color choices from Dansko.

These were super comfortable, but the tongue on the right shoe is too high and cut into my ankle. Sadly, they have to go back.

I really wanted to like these shoes and wear them everywhere. Unfortunately, the toe box just wasn't a good fit for my feet. The left shoe rubbed my toes and the toe box of the right shoe was entirely too tight. My heels loved every minute and I thought the arch support was pretty good. I wear a woman's 11.5 medium. Guess I'm doomed to always have to wear men's sports shoes.

I really liked the shoe but was a bit too wide allowing my orthotic to move around a bit also the shoe was a bit heavy and not as "sleek" as I would like. Chose to return it.

full (european) size too large. I used to wear Dansko alot, size 39 in that and other european shoes. Just tried 5 different dansko models, 39 in all of them was too large; 38 is fine.
