I chose these Naot shoes because I wanted light-color boots for Spring-summer-early fall, as I live in a mildish climate. And white would not have worked. These were exactly what I needed in terms of color and look--they would work with capris and ankle pants. However, I was shocked to see how junky the material is for the heel and sole. The upper is a nice leather-suede combo, but the heel and sole is plastic and the heel even feels hollow. I could poke into it with my finger tip. It is colored to look like wood or to look like stacked layers. I am not sure I could even reinforce the heel to extend the life of the shoe. The boots were not particularly cheap. I am still deciding whether or not to keep them.

I have high arches and this shoe just isn't made for that! otherwise would have loved them.

I love this brand in so many ways. They make the Kirei shoe which is wonderful because it has a rounded toe box and fabulous supportive insole! Please Naot, would you make a boot with the last and insole of the Kirei?? I believe it would be an amazing and great selling bootie or short boot! But so sadly this shoe has a toe box that narrows and has more of a "fashionable" slightly pointed toe that pinches my little toes and just doesn't give my metatarsal bones enough room. This boot actually has a very good fit aside from the essential "room enough for my toes". So I send these boots back with regret. Please Naot, give a little more space for the toes and this bootie would be perfect.

Zappos sent me shoes that have been tried on over and over. The inside logo/writing was worn off. I've sold shoes. These were worn - albeit inside. I can tell from the leather.

Incredibly small and narrow! Not at all comfortable like a Naot and no arch support. Insoles aren’t removable either.

Beautiful color & shape. Unfortunately way too tight across my instep, so must return.

Top of the shoe is tight, have to unzip both zippers for on and off.

This is a very strange pair of shoes that may be not even a pair. One shoe fits OK, but the second one is visibly less voluminous and does not fit. Must return.

The wrong shoe was sent plus they were too big. They were not the shoe I ordered

I usually wear size 9s, and I couldn't get my feet into these, even with both side zippers open.

I was so excited to receive these! I ordered a size 43, but was shipped a size 40. I checked my emailed receipt to make sure it was not my mistake; I ordered size 43. I initiated a return, which says I’m returning a 43, but they are the size 40 pair I was sent. I just hope the next lady with big feet is not shipped the size 40 like I was!

The top edge literally cut into my ankles without socks even - weird cut around back of foot. So disappointed.

I couldn't get my foot into the shoe, and this is a half size larger than I usually take.

The toe on this adorable boot is so narrow, it's insane. This a stylish boot, but the fit is so odd. I have returned the boot.

These shoes were great until they stretched out. All the support was entirely gone. I had to return them as they became uncomfortable.

Purchase the blue leather boots from. Zappo 2 years ago had no problem with the size & width. Ordered the Tan leather in same size. Too small & width too.narrow. very disappointed.

I have a pair of Naot Helm in red from about 4 years ago and they are truly awesome. I had to wear them right out of the box for a long weekend of walking around a city — and they were a dream from the word go. So recently I ordered them in black in the same size. But this new black pair suggests that they must have re-designed the shoe? They feel soooo narrow in the foot … and wide in the heel? And I have narrow feet so if it feels narrow on me, then you’ll need hot-dog-shaped feet to be comfortable in these, but then again the heel was sliding off for me. A hot dog foot w a giant heel? My red ones in the same size, worn with the same socks, still fit perfectly. Moreover, the quality of the leather appears like the man made materials shoes at Payless. So weird! So ugly! So sad! I’m soooo disappointed!!

This shoe is not a 41. I have another pair of this style which is a perfect fit at size 41. I can barely get my foot into this shoe. In fact I can’t.

I wanted this pair of shoes but something on the inside of left shoe kept scraping against my left foot. Was uncomfortable. Returning these shoes.

Leather way to hard very uncomfortable. Had to send back to Zappos.

Beautiful ankle boot. Terrible sizing! I always wear a 40 in Naot shoes but the Helm fit is very small. I’ll be returning it. Had to order twice already because the first time Zappos sent me the wrong size. Good grief! Not easy shopping.

The fit and size was as expected. But the quality of the leather on the majority of the shoe was disappointing. I don’t know if it was the kind of leather used or just the “finish” but it was not attractive; had a dull, matte finish, not soft and supple. I have these boots in a different color and love them. But the black was disappointing.

Love the style and comfort. The leather is not up to par however. One both shoes there was a stiff ridge of leather that was lighter in color and on one shoe, a large white bare spot of missing suede. I sent them back and ordered another pair. The ridge was present on one shoe and both had white spots of missing suede. For the price, quality control should be better.

Sadly, I had to return 2 pairs of these boots because of scuff marks on the side of the suede. I ordered a 3rd pair and these will also be returned. Not only is the suede damaged but there is a pin hole in the leather on top of the boot.
