The height of the shaft didn’t work for me, the shaft stopped at the top of the ankle and unflatteringly bunched up there making the ankle look bulky. Too bad, the dark brown is really a nice looking two tone boot. If only the height of the shaft was a bit taller, it would have been a keeper.

The Naot Footwear Helm is beautiful - I loved the style down to the square heel. But I have to return these because I can barely get these on. I felt I was breaking the back to push my foot in. It does have 2 zippers on either side but then I couldn't get to the outside zipper. Once on they were very tight. And they are not waterproof. It does have a removable foot bed if you need to put in your own orthotics. I decided I really probably wouldn't wear them in the end.

Two issues with these shoes -- make sure you size up. They run narrow and short. And the view from behind makes you look like you have a really oversized ankle and heel. It is an optical illusion with the different leather types next to each other, but two kids commented on it independently. On the plus side, it had one of the more comfortable foot beds from the group of booties I tried.

The sole feels great (typical Naot), but the front cuts into the ankle when you walk, and the style is very masculine. Made my feet look much bigger than they are.

Stiff and narrow. The black croc was very stiff and very hard to zip. A nice lining, but the leather is like hard stiff plastic. Too glove-like form-fitting design for the unyielding material. The non-patent choices might be softer

I own 6 pairs of Naot shoes and they have all been wonderfully comfortable for my bunions. I ordered the black crox in size 8 medium (my usual size), but they are very tight in the toe box and the leather is stiff. The style is simple and elegant. I hesitate to exchange for a size 9 because the shoe would be too long. I am returning these size 8.

This is a beautiful shoe, but it is too narrow.

She was so stiff I couldn't walk in it. Very cute, and I loved the color, but too small, narrow and hard leather.

I have the same boots from a few years ago in a different color so I thought these were a no-brainer. Unfortunately I could barely get the boot on my foot, it runs very small. Also, the front leather part is matte and dark, not shiny and rich as it is in the photo. Simply brushing against the leather created a minor scratch, so I would expect these to look very beaten-up after a few wearings.

The shoe was cute. Felt short however. I ordered my regular size but it was small. Also, I have a very thin foot. I don't see how someone with a regular sized foot could slip into this boot. There's not a lot of room to get your foot inside.

Sadly for me, a size 43 is NOT a true US size 12. I could be barely get my size 12 feet into these boots. It's a shame because they're a beautiful boot. Naot just doesn't come in my size.

After the reviews noting that the Naot Helm had plenty of toe room, I was very disappointed with these boots. They were horribly tight, everywhere--as if they were at least a size smaller than marked! I loved the blue color and the mix of smooth and suede leathers, but they just don't fit. I'm not goig to buy a full size larger when I always wear a 10/41 in virtually every shoe I've ever owned. I'm returning these.

This is not a wide shoe. I usually wear 9.5 shoe. I ordered a size 10 (41) and I couldn't even put my foot in the shoe - it was so small. I thought I must have ordered a smaller size, but I confirmed it was a size 10.

Boot was a little short, and when I added my orthotics it was quite tight in the toe box.

Like other reviewers, I really liked the feel of the soles and body of this boot. But unlike other reviewers, the height caught me at exactly the wrong place on both the front and back. Sadly, they will be going back (but I will be looking to see if there is a taller version with this same style).
