I didn't see in the photos that there is different fabric in front of and behind the zipper - leather in the front and kind of a suede in the back. Overall felt like good shoes and were comfortable, but were a little too big with my custom orthotics.

The Naot Helm is an extremely comfortable fitting bootie and the side zipper makes for easy on and off. However, I was disappointed in the leather/suede combination and sadly returned them. There were small patches on the heels where the suede was already showing wear from just packaging in the the box. If the bootie was all leather it would be perfect but given the price and my concern for the suede durability, just had to let them go!

These were as expected in appearance, but there is a hard rim that runs around the edge of the toe box which can be felt by outer toes. Otherwise, would have been very comfortable.

These are beautifully made boots and I am sorry to have to return them. Sadly, they barely come to my ankle and won't work for me in winter weather.

Very comfortable. Toes are not as narrow as many dress shoes and boots are. The ankle is a bit snug so if you have a large lower leg they might be too snug for you. After wearing them around the house for a few minutes they ankle did start to stretch a bit already.

This is a very cute boot. I have high arches and a narrow heel. The front of the boot rubbed too much on the front of my foot and could not keep the boot.

These are very cute, but pinched my toes right out of the box. Too narrow for a medium/wide foot.

These shoes looked and felt great. They were beautiful, almost regal in appearance. However, I was looking for brown. The color is not as pictured. The name is Bordeaux--I should have paid more attention to that!

Too tight for my comfort. I like Naot shoes very much, and these boots look very nice. I don't like the beat up shoebox they came in, and they don't look new (creases across the instep).

This was my first purchase of Naot shoes and I really wanted to love these boots. All the reviews seemed like they would be perfect for me. Unfortunately, they were not only too short, but also too narrow for me. I normally wear a size 40 in European shoes, which is what I ordered, so perhaps this brand runs smaller? In any case I'm going to return these. I ended up going to an upscale mall and found a pair of Blondo boots in a 9.5 that are perfect for me.

The shoes are great. However, I should have paid more attention to the name of the color rather than the picture. The Bordeaux/Violet are indeed purple, not brown. Sending back for a more neutral color.

The shoe felt very stiff, and the zippers were very stiff

Naot is usually a brand of shoe that I can always rely on to fit and be so very comfortable. Sadly, I ordered a 9M because I would wear thin socks with a bootie. I usually wear a 8.5M. I could not get my foot into this shoe even with both zippers open. I’m not sure why this happened with this shoe, but I cannot wear. I’m sure it would be quite comfortable if the shoe fit. Thankfully, Zappos allows returns free of charge.

These are very cute boots, but I couldn't get my normally 8-1/2-size foot into them and had to return.

Looked at this shoe many times before ordering because it is expensive. Decided to order it because I really liked the look of it and I know Naot is a good brand. When I took the shoe out of the box I loved the look and feel of it and it appears to be well made. But when I tried it on, it was way too narrow for my foot. I can't wear it and will have to return it. I didn't even try on the other foot because I knew right away. I'm so disappointed because it is a beautiful shoe/boot - that's why I still gave it 3 stars. If you have a narrow foot, you will love this shoe!

This boot has 4 zippers each shoe and one of the zippers doesn't work. In fact the boot arrived with the zipper down and it could not be zipped up

Wanted to love them - beautiful look, but not wide enough and bunion on right foot was rubbing badly. Wish they came in wide.

These are beautiful boots. The color was just right and the heel height was just right. Unfortunately when I walked, the boots broke, or folded, right over my big toe joint. I have had that happen with boots that I have worn out or that are too long but this happened the first time I tried them on. They seemed to be just the right size, not too long. Back they go and back to the drawing board for me!

Not the best arch support and digs into the ankles a bit

The size was fine but the boot was uncomfortable because the leather was too stiff above my ankle and dug in. The boot itself is beautiful and a nice quality.

Right boot causes all socks, no matter what kind, continually slip down into the boot.

The material was quite stiff and I think it ran a bit narrow, I have several Naot sandals and shoes and these did not seem as comfortable
