I did'nt like the way it looked on my foot and I ordered a wide and needed a medium.

I had to return them because there seemed to be a defect on the leather in one spot and also the left foot kept slipping off. I find the bronze and silver or other metallic like leathers are not durable and get scratched and scuffed too easily, but I love them anyway and keep ordering them. I am hoping I will find some that are more durable.

Tried hard to buy this shoe as I love Clarks and usually have gone luck with them. Also a very cute style. Usually wear a 9 1/2 wide. Ordered this size which was too wide and long. Returned them and ordered a 9 wide, length good but width still too wide. Returned them and ordered a 9 medium, which were too narrow, but length good. Returned them after much debate.

Shoe was very stiff the right shoe fit the left felt like a half size smaller had to return. Thanks Zappos for being so understanding!

Just too big in the heel. I am a wide, but some "d" width are just too big.

Like other reviewers said, these run wide. I've not had this issue with Clark's before. I will return them, since they are too loose, and the heels slip, but they sure are cute!

This is a nice looking shoe. I like Clarks because they almost always fit my small but wide foot. I ordered a 5 1/2 medium but this shoe runs very large especially in the heel. I used an insert but am still having a problem with the heels slipping.

Fit is okay. I wear an extra-narrow so had to add insoles to "tighten" up the fit but that is my issue, not Clark's. Initially the shoes are comfortable but, after wearing a while, something in the stitching rubs. I'm hoping they will break in over time. Word of caution: If you walk into a building with a ceramic tile floor and have wet soles, they are very slippery. Be careful!

I normally wear a 6M but I have found that these types of shoe run large/wide so I decided to order 5.5 M which fit fine; so I suggest that you may find a half size down may work for you if shoes are running large. It is nice to find that half sizes are still available in some brands. The one problem I do have is the color. I ordered Burgundy-the box was marked Burgundy but the shoes are Brown...more the Redwood color shown. I have brown shoes so I am returning these.

Love my other Ashland Clark’s but the toes in these are curled up. The heels felt like they rolled in. The shoe was not the normal Clark’s quality.

I had ordered this same shoe in another color less than a year ago and it fit perfectly. For some reason this same shoe I just ordered does not fit the same. Seems much wider and my heel is slipping out of the shoe. I had ordered this pair as it was on sale. Will have to return them. Do love ordering from Zappos tho as my order arrives so fast and appreciate the free return shipping.

The width was N but was much too wide for me. I had ordered another similar shoe by a different manufacture. They both were 11 N. That shoe was too short but width was close. They used to have combination lasts that fit s narrower heel but I rarely see this anymore. With ill fitting shoes I tend to get stress fractures in my metatarsals.

These shoes “grew” as the day wore on. I liked the look and style, but by the end of day they were slipping off my heels.

Liked the shoe very much. Bummed to find there was no arch support and no way to lift out the footbed to insert arch support

Shoes are nice and light. Style, meh...Maybe slightly better than old lady shoes? Toe box comfortable. They were fine with a pair of medium socks, but would be too large with thinner. Reason for the return is the side of the shoe comes up and touches the outside of my ankle bone with every step. While not terrible walking around the house trying on the shoe, I couldn't be sure that this wouldn't end up hurting when walking outside during my commute.

The shoe looked good and was comfortable. However, it was about a half size too small. I wear a 9.5 with a bit of extra room but with this time my toe was bumping into the top of the shoe. It felt small immediately and walking was uncomfortable.

Good: Nice looking casual, leather shoe. Color is dark navy blue, almost black looking in some lighting. Plenty of room in toe box, which in some shoes, rubs on the top of my big toe. I usually wear W or WW - this 7.5 W is a good width, feet don't move around inside, outside little toe is very slightly cramped but nothing you can't live with, or stretch out. Bad: Returned because the top, rear, outside hits and rubs just below my ankle bone with every step. It would require a bandaid to always be worn w/the shoe, if that would even work. After walking around the house for just 2 minutes, it's sore. It you have enough room, a pair of thick socks might alleviate this. Also, almost immediately, I noticed the sole feels hard under the ball of my foot - how would this feel if walking around for a few hours? I have this shoe, the 7.5W, Clarks Ashland Lane Q, SKU: #8717158, on my left foot and my old SKECHERS "GO WALK" on my right and there's little comparison. Like many shoes, the Clarks would be a shoe to be tolerated while wearing, never worn for lots of walking, not an actual comfortable shoe. Even if I were desperate for a casual leather shoe, this one would have to go back. The Skechers, on the other hand, have become my house shoes. As such, they are worn most days, all day long. Occasionally I change into slippers because my feet get cold (winter) and the shoe is not leather. If only THEY were made with some fluffy warm lining they would be perfect for winter wear, in or out! ARCH SUPPORT? I can't feel anything touching in my arch, so I don't know. It's not something I pay close attention to. I have noticed UGGS are totally flat and w/out arch support, so not good for much actual walking. These Clarks are not like that, so I changed the drop down selection from no arch support to moderate.

This shoe is not good for a person who has long toes.

I ordered two pairs of the Clark's Ashland - one in black and one in brown, both the same size 6. The black ones were much looser fitting and had a scratch on it. I have been a loyal Zappos customer for the last ten years or more, but I am getting tired of being sent shoes clearly used by other customers. I believe Zappos needs to revise its return policy, or at a minimum check shoes before they are sent out. On top of that frustration, Zappos did not issue a credit as the items were on sale, until AFTER I called to complain. I am disappointed in the service I received and the shoes. I am going to order directly from the manufacturer.

I have worn size 8 in Clark shoes for years. I ordered this shoe and it felt good the first couple of hours and then the area around my toe seemed to be "buming" and now I am have a sore toe - feels like an ingrown toe nail. I could not go up or down a size. It appears this shoe is cut shoe around the toe. I hate I spent the money for the shoe and now not able to wear them. I ordered a second pair of Clarks and they seem to be doing the same thing. I guess it is time to buy another brand.

I ordered the Clarks Ashland Q in navy in a size 10 and a size 9.5. The 10 fit perfectly and was extremely comfortable right out of the box. Unfortunately, the shoe did not look very attractive on. It looked very long and sort of like a clown shoe from the side. I have plantar fasciitis, bad knees, bunions, flat feet, and a narrow heel. It's very hard to find comfortable shoes so I wish I could have kept this pair. The navy color was not too dark and was not a bright blue. The tan stitching was also more noticeable on the navy. Zappos' free shipping and excellent customer service means I can continue the search. Thanks Zappos.

I am 12N with high arch. The elastic stretchy part in center of shoe led to it slipping off, so I had to return them.

These shoes are very masculine. I didn’t realize that from the photos but the seam going down the toes gives these shoes a kind of country look. Very little difference between black and navy as well.

A little too narrow and hard foot base for my liking.

The shoe was narrow in the heel (pinched the back of the foot) and the width across the top seemed wider. I've had a similar older version (vertical buttons), which is perfect in the same size. However, the styling in this newer version must have changed the fit.
