I ordered a half size up from my 7 1/2 size—ordered an 8—and they fit perfectly. I hiked yesterday and they felt really good, first time out. Great pair of shoes.

Fit perfectly out of the box. Usual size 10 in Keens, other brands 9.5. Use my own inserts

I love my boots. They felt comfortable the moment I put them on. I wore my last pair of Targhees out and looked at some other brands but came back to these because they feel so good to me.

I ordered a half size up as stated in various reviews. Good call! With one pair of wool socks, a perfect fit. These boots were difficult to find, but thanks to Zappos I had them in time for an upcoming hiking trip to Tennessee.

I have a pair of low Targhee II which I love. I don’t have a particularly wide foot but my toes are very short and some shoes are too tight just under the toes. This shoe is perfect. Lots of toe room. I wanted a higher shoe for some more serious hiking in the mountains. As soon as I put these on I loved them. So comfy, sturdy and light. Worth every penny. A lot of reviews say to order half size up. I ordered my usual size. A cute hiking boot.

My Targhee ll Mid boots are true to size and they feel the same as the pair I bought ten years ago, Thank you for not changing this product. I am hard to fit in a shoe/boot but I know my Keen’s will always be consistent,

I stick to Keen and ASICS. They both work for my plantar fasciitis.

Wonderful walking or hiking shoes; great support and excellent fit, as are all my Keen shoes. Warm and dry, despite the weather. Everyone who likes and needs to be outside should have a pair!!!

This is a good sturdy boot. It worked well walking around Montana in light snow. I wouldn't wear them in deep snow for too long. I usually wear a 7.5 and have a narrow foot. With the other reviews I ordered an 8. They had extra room in them, so I added a cheap air foam insert. That did the trick along with thick socks. I didn't lace them up all the way so that made them even more comfortable above the foot where it meets the shin. All in all, a good boot.

I love these boots. They only got a 4 in "style" because, well, they're not attractive - they are functional. The fit was perfect. I have a wide foot. They fit. There is room to wiggle my toes. Could not be more pleased. Mind you, haven't been hiking yet. Snow's 2 feet deep.

I have high arches and narrow feet, and I need strong support and soft cushiony soles. These Keen boots fulfill all of my needs. I wore them on icy sidewalks and streets, today, and they provided excellent traction. They will accommodate wider feet than mine, I am certain, an variable sock thicknesses. I preferred the look of the Kaci style, but I kept the Targhee II instead, because of the better support.

I purchased these in the Raven/Opaline color because I wanted something different than the usual brown. They are sporty and stylish and excellent hiking shoes. Lighter than they look, great cushioning, very comfortable ankle collar positioned just right so that it does not rub on my ankle or apply pressure whatsoever. The mid vs. low ankle style gives a tad more support without being hot, and allows me to wear my DarnTough ankle hiking socks so I don't have to get socks that go higher up my calf. I usually wear a 9 in Keens, but I always get 9.5 in hiking boots. This model is maybe a hair shorter in length, so if you have any doubt at all definitely size up for length. They are plenty wide in the toe box - which is why I went with this model vs. the newer Targhee which I read is more narrow (still wide but not like usual wide keens) - I like room to wiggle my toes and my feet really swell when I hike sometimes - I hate any pressure or squeeze at all on my pinky toe. You can tighten them for lighter socks, or loosen them for thick or two pair socks. No break in required. I replaced my Keen Pyrenees because they pressed on my right outer ankle bone, these Targhees are perfect!

I work in the Southeastern Forest and put between 5 and 20 miles a day on my boots. I wore these Keens day in and day out for 2 years. They are just now giving up. Couldn't ask for a more comfortable, durable water proof boot.

Bought these for my girlfriend. She absolutely loves them! We hiked about 8.5 miles the first time she wore them and there was no break in necessary at all. Her comments were "I had absolutely no clue how lite they are!" , "they fit perfect" (she's a size 10) , and "should we buy another pair in case they discontinue the boots?". I have three pairs of Keen boots and shoes and I will say that they will not be my last of the brand!

I bought these to replace my 9 1/2 year old Targhee Mid boots. I was pleasantly surprised to find that these have a little more vertical volume in the toe box. Maybe my previous pair shrunk after so many damp/dry cycles? I have a narrowish heel, high arch and average toe width and these fit well without slipping, pinching or hot spots. The insole looks like it's meant to be replaced - I have the Superfeet Women's Trailblazer insoles and they fit well. No major break in time needed with these boots, so if that's a consideration and you're not doing multi-day heavy pack trips, these are a great choice.

Great shoes, use with orthapedic inserts (have to remove original inserts). Wife is on her feet, on concrete for hours and hours everyday.

This is a repeat purchase of the Keen Targhee mid-hiker. Perhaps due to my changing foot, I usually size up a half-size. This time I went up a full size to be able to wear these boots with thicker socks. I prefer a roomier fit for this type of hiker. I have also had to add an insole to the inside for extra cushion. The insoles on these boots are thin, flimsy foam which offer no support and actually build up heat and friction on the bottoms of the feet. So, at this price point, it would be a perfect boot if Keen wanted to invest a little extra in a better insole. Other than that, I like the lacing system because it allows you to tighten or loosen the boot all around the foot including the heel. This is critical in order to keep the foot stable while hiking. I recommend them because they accommodate my C-width foot and don't taper as much at the toe as other women's hikers. Also, the moderate arch support is built into the bottom sole of the foot and I find it does offer better support than other hikers. I've worn these boot during the winter thaw. My feet are warm and dry. I would definitely purchase these again.

I have always liked the Keen boots and shoes due to the wide toe-box that they provide. Normally I wear a size 6 to allow for moderately thick wool socks, however, due to several comments suggesting that you should order 1/2 size larger, I ordered the 6.5. This was a big mistake! The 6.5 boot was very large and I felt like my foot was swimming. I returned and ordered a size 6 which fit very well.
