I have a sensitive heels and a bunion so am very fussy about my footwear. These boots are actually very comfortable, allowing my toes to have adequate room (usually I have to purchase a wide- so was delighted with this) but also supporting my heel without digging or rubbing. The arch support could be a little better but I am overall very happy and comfortable.

I wore these shoes straight out of the box on a 5 1/2 mile hike and they were AWESOME! No break in period, no blisters, and felt so good on my high arch. I ordered a half size up since I knew I would be wearing these with thick socks. Couldn’t be happier!

Theses are the most comfortable hiking boots I have ever worn. This my third pair because after a hundred miles or so, they do wear out - boot holds up well but the sole wears down.

This is my second pair of Keen hiking boots. I love all of my Keen products, sandals, winter boots and my hiking boots. I knew to order up a size for me so they would fit. I hiked over 9 miles in these boots right out of the box!

I've been wearing this type of Keen hiking boots for years. They fit fantastic right out of the box, as long as you size up. I wear an 8.5 in regular shoes, but I always buy hiking boots in 9.5 for better toe room on the downhill. However, I have to buy a 10 in the Keens! The 10 fits perfectly. It's the only time in my life I've had to buy a 10.
The traction and long life of the sole is excellent. My first pair of Keen Targhees, I wore them so long. When they stated coming apart a little bit, I turned them into my water shoes. Eventually they got too bad to wear, as they weren't meant for that..
This pair I'm reviewing is waterproof -- the first waterproof boots I've ever owned, and I really love them for tromping through shallow creeks.

I wear the Arroyo II in the summer and love them. I need thick and stiff soles for a foot and ankle injury and the sandals are perfect for me. I wear an 8.5 in most shoes but a 7.5 in the sandal that has the same base as the Targhee II. I needed an 8.5 in the Targhee II. However I wanted ankle boots for the snowy and icy streets of my Chicago suburb and read after I received them that they are not meant to help with slick and icy sidewalks. Once I can go hiking again in good weather I will order these. Unfortunately they need to go back.

I wear the Keen Arroyo II in the summer and love them. The Targgee II has the same sole so I thought I would wear the same size. It was way too small so I returned them for the larger size.

These are great boots but not for me. I have issues with arthritis in my feet and the only boots and sneakers I can wear are Hokas. I used to be able to wear Keens, but after trying these out for two hikes, I found that my feet hurt a LOT so I went back to my old Hokas. So I'm back to the search for the perfect hiking boot. :(

My husband has the men's version of this boot and loves them, so when I was looking to replace my old hiking boots, I thought I'd try these. I did not think they ran small, despite all the warnings that they do. They were a nice, hefty hiking boot. Ultimately, I was wanting something with more ankle support, and these felt a little low to me, so I returned. I ended up buying the Keen Teradora.

I have been wearing Keens for years, love them. This is a little lower style for me but the fit is exactly the same as my others. I prefer the one with the higher ankle. That's just a personal preference for me!

Sorry I had to return--again. Bought these as a gift--the heel and ankle are very wide and the front is regular width. Nicely made but having trouble with Keen. Purchased the
Kaci slip on earlier and had to return as well--left shoe much smaller than right one. Strange fit on this--hate to return but had to.

I love my Keen Voyageurs, but a I am struggling to find a waterproof hiking boot that fits. These are my size, but they slipped on my heels while walking.

I sent these back. I tried several pairs of hiking boots for an upcoming trip for which a waterproof boot is needed. While I loved the roomy toebox, I felt almost no arch support and, while I realize this sounds superficial, the style was pretty clunky looking. I know I could have purchased an insert to improve the instep support but I was able to find another brand that felt more supportive without the added expense.

I am a regular size 10 in women's shoes. I ordered the 10.5 and that was too small. I ordered the 11 and that was too small (actually felt like the same size as 10.5). What a waste of time! Don't ordered these unless you wear a size 9.5 or smaller, and make sure to size up a FULL SIZE OR MORE. I'm so disappointed.

Disappointing: worn for one week when the lace hook broke. I purchased these to replace an older pair of Keens which also had a broken hook, the difference being that I wore the previous pair for many years. C'mon Keen, you can do better than this.

I was really counting on these shoes to fit for rainy days and icy as well. I loved my last pair of targhees and I have a hard time finding shoes with a wide toe box that will accommodate my orthotics and high arches and insteps. I thought I could count on keen but the quality of their shoes has plummeted.
My first order showed up with 2 left shoes so I had to order another pair. I did look them over first though and noticed that the quality of the leather was poor. It was very stiff, not supple like my old ones. And the craftsmanship was sloppy. There were glue marks on the leather on the shoe I checked out. Desperate for a pair of shoes that fit I went ahead and ordered a second pair. When I tried them on it was just as I feared. The materials are so stiff that it hurt my ankles right away, no matter how much I loosened the top it felt like something was gripping my leg. I had them on only for a few minutes and almost a half an hour later my ankles still hurt.
They are wider than the last pair of targhees which is part of the reason I gave them a chance but they’re going back
I’ve also noticed with every pair of keen shoes ( not the boots) that I’ve ordered that the right shoe is noticeably smaller. I’m not having that problem when I try on other brands so I believe it’s keen. It’s happened with multiple styles and sizes. I’ve tried ordering multiple pairs of the same shoe and still cannot find a right shoe that fits. With the boots I ordered the right is always bigger.
So disappointed in keen. Going to have to find a new brand it seems.

This is my 5th pair of keens! I hike a lot and these boots fit me well.
I always order one size up…but these were huge on me, even with thick socks.
Had to return for smaller size.

This is the second pair of KEEN Targhees our household has purchased. They’re comfortable right out of the box and durable on the trail.

This review is just for sizing… my other Keen hikers are a 10 and on the small side, I ordered these in 10 after reading the mixed reviews… they look a whole size larger and are a bit big I decided to keep them to wear in winter with heavy socks. In the picture they are on the left.

I ordered 1/2 size up. I will return and order the whole size up. But I think the boot overall at the larger size will be perfect!

I used to wear Solomons but they have changed the sizing so the boots don't work for me now.

Very nice, solid hiking boots. Comfortable with good arch support. A bit stiff but definitely wearable right out of the box, and they’ll break in quickly. I’ve had Targhee IIs in the past and they’re great quality boots. These seem to fit wider in the heel than previous pairs I’ve had though and I feel a bit of slip when walking especially if I don’t take care to pull the laces pretty tight. Overall they’re really great boots but I’m returning them in favor of the NXIS EVO mid boots which will be a first time model for me but they seem to fit just a little better overall for me.
