I have a small, narrow foot and these shoes are so tight across the top of my foot. I purchased them to replace my athletic shoes I'd been wearing while working 12 hour shifts in the hospital. My feet are so sore by the time I get home it takes all day for the ache to dissapear. I'm seriously regretting this purchase, and just sad I wore them to work since now they are officially mine. :( .. but they look good. So, yeah, it doesn't really make it better.

Hard, not comfy and definitely not a good shoe for working on your feet all day. You'll end up needing a nurse after wearing nursemates. I ended up trying hokas and they are great

I bought this pair in June, replaced in July as left foot sole came unglued as I was working as a nurse. Only wearing them at work. Zappos was more than helpful to replace them. Four weeks later sole of right shoe did the same thing with the replacement pair. There must be defect in this color or style. Hopefully my replacement of another color will be better. Loved the color though.

Fit was horrible, but worse than that, it felt like I had rough plastic on my feet. Very lightweight would be the best thing I could say. Completely weird lacing system that I, personally, found gimmicky and unusable. The worst part though was that I knew immediately that even if I returned them for a smaller size that they would not work, is that the foot support system caused immediate pain in my ankle and my foot, which has a normally low and narrow arch. My ankle has problems as well and needs both a cushioned heel AND excellent support in the footbed. This shoe did not answer those requirements for my particular problem.

This is my 4th pair of these shoes. I am a nurse and on my feet alot! Plus I have plantar fasciitis. These shoes are a great support for my feet. I try to replace them every year. I can really feel the difference when I get a new pair. There are many great designs to choose from. I always get compliments on my shoes. My only choice for my work shoes.

Can wear for long shifts without foot fatigue.

I own 3 different 8.5 wide, Nurse Mates, Velocity (white, grey, black swirl). I love them. I have an orthotic insert ordered from the podiatrist that I switch from shoe to shoe. I recommend you keep the long laces they come with because over time they do loosen up and you may want to switch from slip -on shoe to full tying laces. I wish that Nurse Mates would come out with a khaki/tan colored version of these to go with khaki pants. The cocoa brown are too dark brown for me.

I had a bit of trouble getting just the right pair of the grey camo color. I ordered both size 7 and size 6.5 because I never know which will work best from brand to brand. The size 7 looked good but were too big. The first pair of size 6.5 fit well but the difference in camo pattern between the left and right shoes was just too much for me. So, I sent those back and ordered a 2nd pair in 6.5 and they both feel very comfortable and look good. Thank you Zappos for providing easy returns so that I can the shoes that are best for me.

Great shoes

The shoe is extremely comfortable. I just wish the shoe was made of a product that allowed more air flow.

I was needing shoes with support to help with my foot/heel pain. I was beginning a busy season at my job, requiring me to be on my feet a lot. Once I received these shoes, I wore them to work for an entire day. They felt great right from the start. No breaking in required here! With the support, my pain is much improved.

Needing non porus shoe, I bought these. I love the arch support and are a very comfortable fit.

Perfect nursing shoes, very comfortable

I bought them in 7.5 W and they fit very nicely. I wear them a little around the house and they started to hurt my feet. I returned them.

I walk to and from work and have bunions. I cant wear sneakers to work so I wanted a pair of good walking shoes.These shoes are so comfortable and roomy in the front. They're not the most stylish, but I am all about comfort and they do the trick.

I was a little concerned after some of the mixed reviews. Some stated they were too narrow and some said too large. I think they are perfect. I am normally a 7 to 7.5 and I ordered a 7.5 hoping they would work. No problems at all. They come with elastic laces already in place as well as an extra pair of regular laces. I prefer to use the elastic laces so I can slip them on and off as I come into the house. They provide excellent arch support and have excellent grip. They do make my feet a bit hot. So that would be my only complaint. Worth the price for comfort!

GREAT SHOES and not just for nurses!!! I have a hard time fitting my brace in a lot of shoes, until I found these. I wish they had a brown color too!! Finally found a brand that works!

FINALLY a shoe that allows me to put my foot drop brace in it and comfortable too! They come with elastic laces and regular laces. Nice looking, comfortable and not too orthopedic looking. Leather is very soft too! Definitely found a new go to brand!!
